This blog will talk about Twisted Wonderland, which is a game I really love. What I love the most about this game is the dynamic between the prefect and Grim, or should I say the parent supervising their problem child. I think that their interactions are really cute. They have been through so much, and I just want them to be happy.
I will write about, as you guessed, the Ramshackle duo, but I will also write about the other characters as well. Iâm still figuring out some of the characters personalities and how I can write them. English is also not my first language, so I will make mistakes for sure or use poor vocabulary. So, please bear with me.
I am a huge fan of arranging the guest room. I really like farming and crafting the different furniture and try to have the most points while keeping it pretty. I also like reading the main story, events, and vignettes while trying to groovy as many cards as possible.
Here is everything I have written so far.

Maybe we are more alike than we thought - Ignihyde - Diasomnia
He always believed that the two of you were different. But something you did made him question this statement. Maybe you shared more similarities than he thoughtâŚ

Scarabia and Pomefiore
You were fussing over Grim for not taking a jacket when it was freezing outside. But you still had everything with you in your bag. Packing it in advance, knowing full well he would forget. As you handed him his jacket with a smile, Grim took it from your hands and returned your smile. Idia, who had seen the interaction, thought that it reminded him of himself. He always tried to help his younger brother and make him happy, even before the accident. He created games for Ortho to play ever since they were children. Now, he also created or added new components and systems into his database. Idia does that to make his little brother happy. But, deep down, he also wants him to be proud of him. That motivated him to continue to help Ortho and support him to the best of his abilities.
(Platonic) You had just encountered something you didnât know a thing about, and you had asked about it. Ortho saw how you noted it down on a little notepad or how you repeated it to anchor it in your brain. Sometimes, you would ask more questions to understand this world better. That reminded Ortho of himself. He, too, notes down in his database the information he collects about human emotions. He always thought that he needed to understand everything about humans and become one himself to be able to help his brother. But seeing you accept that you are not part of this world, not understanding everything, and still being able to help people who are part of it comforted him. He could stay an android and still be able to help his brother even if he doesnât understand everything about him.
When on a gargoyle viewing outing, you offered him a perfect analysis of the gargoyle you were gazing at. Malleus was shocked, to say the least. When did you gain the knowledge about gargoyles? When he asked you about the reason behind it, you explained that it was your way of showing you cared. He didnât understand; researching peopleâs interests was a way of getting closer to them? That statement made him question everything he had done so far. He had always tried to interest others in gargoyles to gain friends, but he never bothered to show interest in their own hobbies. Maybe thatâs why he didnât have many friends after all. Expect him to question you about your own hobbies and interests. In no time, you will have conversations about gargoyles and what you like. Malleus discovered that he now understood you better and that you seemed to have a stronger friendship.
Lilia was strolling near Ramshackle when he heard some commotion coming from the dormâs lounge. As he poked his head through the window, he saw you and all the other first years having a sleepover. You were all laughing, telling jokes, playing games, and forming a stronger bond. Seeing you all like this comforted him in his choice to encourage his boys to broaden their horizons. Getting to know other cultures and people was a blessing. From what he saw, you were supported by your friends, and you were supporting them in return. He made the right choice; he was sure of it. His boys now had friends to rely on and could live a happy youth. Sure, the unknown can be intimidating, but it can get wonderful once we decide to face it.
The two of you were hanging out, talking about everything. Silver was telling you about some of his childhood memories. You would answer with âYou must have felt happy.â, âI would have liked to see your surprised expression.â or âYou? Mad? That happens?â and Silver understood something. He didnât have to always show his emotions for you to understand them. He always thought his expressionless face was a problem and that he should try to be more expressive. So, he trained for a long time, and he still is. It was hard for him to be expressive. It never caused any trouble for his father, so why was it so different here at school? But your casual answers comforted him. It seemed that he didnât need to change to be understood.
Sebek never took you for the strong one. He always thought you were relying solely on others support and help. But he seemed that he had underestimated you. When you were traveling from dream to dream, he saw how your eyes held a determination as strong as his. How you gave it your all to help all your friends, not letting them fall behind. For that, Sebek admired you. It seemed that your loyalty to your friends was as strong as his towards Malleus. Of course, his goal is to defend him and be his knight, but maybe he also wants to get to know his liege better and offer him help as a retainer but also as his friend. Even though he will never admit it, the same goes for Silver, whom he wants to help and support since childhood. Loyalty gains trust but also friendship and a stronger understanding of each other.

A spoonful of sweetness - Kalim edition
What if discovering Kalimâs favorite spots in Foothill Town isnât just for the video Night Raven asked for but is also a way to celebrate your boyfriendâs birthday?
Summer was well settled, no doubts. The sun was shining in a sky empty of clouds as the temperature rose abruptly. Everyone on campus had found shelter inside the schoolâs building or in their dorms. Though, you couldnât say the same. Todayâs was your boyfriendâs birthday so you were on your way towards Scarabia. You were preparing yourself to face the atrocious warmth of the desert that was Kalimâs dorm as you walked towards the Hall of Mirrors. Though, luckily for you, he found you before you had to pass through the mirror.
âHEY!â Yelled a voice coming from a distance.
You turned around to see your boyfriend sprinting towards you with his usual huge grin and sparkling eyes. Given how fast he was arriving, you could tell he was beyond excited to go into town.
âHi, Kalim.â You greeted the boy as he stopped in front of you.
âHello! I canât wait to show you the place I chose! Itâs a really fun place. Iâm so excited for today!â He exclaimed as he clasped his hand around yours and led you towards the campus gate.
âI wonder whatâll it beâŚâ You pondered as you walked beside him.
âIâm sure youâll like it⌠No. Youâll love it! Letâs go!â He yelled as the two of you left Night Raven College grounds.
Luckily for Kalim, he had you or else he would have straight up led you towards his chosen place. On your way to town, you reminded him that it would be nice to go choose an outfit for him. It wasnât every day that a renowned tailor would offer his selection to students. Even if it was just for their birthdays, it always seemed like a fun experience to live. And since the boy always looked for something exciting to do, it was something the two of you couldnât pass up for anything!
âWhoa!â Exclaimed Kalim as he entered the tailorâs fitting room. âItâs incredible to be able to choose from pre-made clothes! I canât wait to compose an outfit!â
âWhat do you mean by pre-made clothes?â You inquired, getting the boyâs attention on you.
âBack at home, we would always have a tailor who would come and take my measurements. Then, some days later, beautiful clothes would arrive at home ready to be worn!â Explained your boyfriend.
âYou couldnât choose the design or the colors used for your own clothes?â You asked, your eyebrows furrowing.
âNot really⌠The tailor always chooses but not once did it not suit me. Heâs really incredible!â Exclaimed once more the boy.
âThat explains why youâre so excited to pick your own clothes for today, then.â
âExactly!â He yelled as he began excitedly to look at all the different racks in the room.
You decided to let him have his fun as you looked at him, running from rack to rack with his usual energy, with a fond smile. If days like these could allow him to experience the life of a normal boy, then you would let him explore everything in a heartbeat.
âOkay! Iâve chosen my outfit!â Kalimâs voice brought you back to reality as you looked at the clothes he was proudly holding in his hands.
âA bright red shirt covered in sequins with a shiny gold jacket paired with blue shorts and shoes covered in jewels⌠ThatâsâŚâ You turned in your head different sentences in hope of finding one that wouldnât crush your boyfriendâs spirits. âThatâs⌠original?â
âIsnât it?!â He exclaimed as he flashed you his biggest grin.
âThough, Iâm sure we can find an outfit that would suit you even better!â You attempted, hoping that a challenge would get him to leave his outfit which⌠didnât go that well together.
âOh? You think so? I wonder what it could look likeâŚâ He pondered, already deep in thoughts.
âBingo!â You cheered in your head. Then, you cleared your throat to get Kalimâs attention. âThe short looks nice. Iâm sure that paired with a blue jacketâŚâ You left the sentence hang in the air as your eyes scanned the different jackets. Until they landed on the perfect one. âLike this one!â You exclaimed as you took it in your hands.
âWow, thatâs a beautiful color you found there! It looks like the color of the sky when thereâs no clouds in sight. Youâre very talented! Thank you for choosing this for me!â Exclaimed your boyfriend in return, as he took the piece of clothing from your hands.
âNow⌠the jacket feels a little plain.â You stated as you looked at it. âWe should addâŚâ
âSome decorations.â
âSome decorations!â You both said at the same time, bursting out laughing in the process.
âIâm glad weâre on the same page! Leave this to me!â Exclaimed Kalim as he sprinted towards the changing room.
A few moments later, the sound of the curtain could be heard. Your head turned towards the source of the sound and you were met with the boy in a blue and white outfit with a huge grin on his face.
âHow is it? It suits me really well, donât you think?â He asked.
âIt looks wonderful on you, Kalim.â You responded with a smile. âThough, it seems like you and your tie had a fight and that the tie won it.â You said as you looked at the mess of knots that was his tie.
âIs it that obvious?â He asked sheepishly. âThe truth is⌠I donât really know how to tie itâŚâ
âCome here, Iâll show you how.â You said softly.
âYouâre the best! Iâm happy you were here to help me out!â
The two of you passed some more time at the tailor as you taught your boyfriend the art of tying. After some (many) fails and demonstrations, he finally managed to tie it on his own. He was beyond happy when he landed it, thanking you again and again and telling you heâll show his new skills to Jamil and how heâll be proud of him. Noticing that quite some time had passed, the two of you decided to head out to town to the place Kalim absolutely wanted to show you.
âOur destination isâŚâ Began your boyfriend as he looked at the different streets in front of him. âThis way! Follow me!â He exclaimed as he extended his hand to yours, which you gladly accepted.
As you walked hand in hand, Kalim suddenly pointed towards the townâs plaza and grinned at you. âYou know, the last time I went to town with Jamil and the other dorm members, there were musicians there. They were playing super catchy music and I couldnât help but join in the fun!â
âWhat did you do? You played an instrument?â You asked, loving to see him this happy sharing his stories.
âNo, I could have but I really wanted to dance. So, I began to dance to their music and you know what?â
âWhat happened?â You inquired with a smile.
âMore and more people came by to watch! Some of them even swaying to the rhythm! It was so fun! I think we all had a great time!â He explained as his eyes sparkled.
âThatâs fantastic, Kalim. Iâm glad you had fun.â
âI did for sure. Though, next time, I want you to be with us. I would really like to dance with you and enjoy the moment!â He exclaimed with a smile.
âI⌠I would love that.â You responded, feeling shy all of a sudden from his declaration.
âOh! Time flies when you share wonderful stories. Weâre here!â He exclaimed as he let go of your hand to go stand in front of the building, his hands on his hips. âThe movie theather!â
âThe movie theater?â You asked, your head tilted to the side. âIs there a movie you want to watch?â
âAs much as watching a movie together sounds fun and we should really do that sometime! What I want to show you isnât a movie, itâs this!â He said mysteriously as he stepped to the side, letting a capsule toy machine come into view.
âA capsule toy machine!â You exclaimed. âThat takes me back.â
âHeh? You already know what it is?â Asked Kalim, perplexed.
âIt was common to see some at the entrance of grocery stores.â You explained.
âOh, I see. Well, I didnât know what they were until I went to town last time and⌠Theyâre amazing!â He said, grinning from ear to ear.
âIsnât it? Some collections are really awesome.â
âItâs just way too exciting! You never know which one you pulled until you open the capsule. Thatâs what makes them so much fun!â
âI agree. Though, sometimes itâs frustrating because you want one in particular but you canât seem to get it.â You pouted.
âThatâs exactly why Iâm here today.â He said, looking determined as ever.
âReally? Which figure are you trying to get?â You asked, peering at the displays on the machines.
âIâm trying to complete this Scalding Sands collection.â He explained, pointing to you said machine. âItâs my favorite! And Iâm just missing one figure!â
âOh no! Thatâs the worst case scenario! Which one is avoiding you?â You asked, getting as determined as him.
âThis one. The two-dumped camel.â He said, looking very serious. âLast time, I used all my coins but didnât get it. This time, I came prepared.â
Kalim put on top of the machine a huge bag full of shiny coins (enough to make Ruggie faint) and declared. âIâll have the complete set.â
His goal now clear, the two of you took your places in front of the machine and began to try your luck.
âŚ
âOh no! Another genie lamp!â You both exclaimed as the capsule opened.
âŚ
âJust how many magic carpet are there in this machine?â Kalim asked.
âŚ
âThat makes us ten duplicates of that little monkey. Can we even call them duplicates anymore?â You wondered.
âŚ
âItâsâŚâ You both yelled. âItâs the camel!â
You high-fived each other and cheered. âI finally have the complete collection!â
âCongratulations, Kalim! It only took us like⌠40 pulls.â You breathed out. âWow, thatâs a lot.â
âI AM SO HAPPY! IâLL PUT IT ON DISPLAY IN MY ROOM!â He exclaimed in happiness and excitement.
âWell, that was fun.â Breathed out Kalim, once the two of you exited the movie theater, figures all over your arms.
âIt was and we got the camel.â You responded.
âWe got the camel, finally! Oh, by the way.â
âYes?â You asked, trying to see his face between two figures.
âSince you helped me get the entire collection, you can choose as many duplicates as you want!â He exclaimed.
âReally? Thank you, Kalim.â You said with a smile.
âAs long as youâre happy, then Iâm happy too.â He responded with a smile of his own. âWe should go to that bakery. I heard they made a special dessert just for me. We canât miss this!â
âWe definitely canât.â You answered, your curiosity peaked.
âGreat! Then, letâs go!â He exclaimed, walking with determination. Until he stopped and looked at you. â⌠Do you remember how to go there?â He asked, scratching his head sheepishly.
As soon as Kalimâs eyes met the bakeryâs display window, he ran up to it, his eyes shining like jewels. You caught up to him, nodding to every pastry and dessert he was showing to you with energy. Curiosity getting the two of you, you couldnât wait any longer and pushed the door of the establishment to discover your boyfriendâs special dessert.
âEverything looks so delicious here! Is it like this in every bakery?â Asked your boyfriend. âThis is my first time here.â
âUsually, yes. Everything looks so good that you have to stop yourself from buying everything.â You explained.
âI understand why! Every fruit sparkles like jewels! Oh, I canât wait to taste my dessert.â
âI think thatâs the one on the table over there.â You said, pointing said table to him.
âYouâre right. Letâs go try it out!â He exclaimed, dragging you by the arm.
You didnât even have time to sit down that Kalim had already put a spoonful of jelly inside his mouth.
âItâs even better than it looks!â He breathed out in delight. âHere, have some. Itâs my birthday after all and I want everyone to have fun!â
âHappy birthday, Kalim.â You said with a smile.
âThank you! I had a wonderful birthday! Oh, wait!â He abruptly stopped himself.
âWhat is it?â
âYou canât have dessert without a good tea! Iâll go make some. Wait here!â He exclaimed, already gone from sight.
âPlease never change, Kalim.â You muttered to yourself with a fond smile.

A spoonful of sweetness - Deuce edition
What if discovering Deuceâs favorite spots in Foothill Town isnât just for the video Night Raven asked for but is also a way to celebrate your boyfriendâs birthday?
The weather was starting to get warmer, the sun lasted till the first hours of the night, and the students of Night Raven College were counting down the days before their summer vacation. You were currently waiting in the shade of a tree by Main Street, waiting for your boyfriend to arrive. Today was his birthday, and he had asked you to help him out with the infamous filming project. After viewing and analyzing different videos and writing his speech together late at night yesterday, today was the so-awaited day of the presentation. Though your boyfriend seemed to be late⌠You were about to check your phone to see if Deuce had texted you, but a form running down the street caught your eye before the voice you could recognize from miles away reached your ears.
âSorry, did I keep you waiting?â Asked Deuce as he caught up to you.
âNot at all, I was just about to text you actually.â
âI seeâŚâ
Suddenly, he bowed his head and yelled. âIâm looking forward to working with you!â Startling you in the process before a smile crept up your lips, knowing what was up with him.
âDeuce, I know you all too well now. What are you nervous about?â You asked softly.
It was now his turn to get startled as he looked at you with a sheepish expression. âWas I this obvious?â
âYes, you were.â
âAh⌠I see⌠Well, the truth is⌠this projectâŚâ He began.
âYes?â
âItâs something really serious.â
âIndeed, it is. Whatâs wrong with that?â Your eyebrows furrowed.
âIt could be my chance to prove that Iâm an honor student! I want to make this a success!â He blurted out.
âThatâs what you were worried about?â You asked with a smile.
âDonât you dare make fun of me! Yesterday, AceâŚâ
âIâm not Ace, for one.â You cut him off. âFor two, Deuce, look at me.â
The boy looked into your eyes and was met with the kindest smile he had ever seen. He knew what that look meant; he had seen it a lot of times from his mother.
âDeuce, Iâm sure itâll be a success. Youâre a very hard-working boy that never gives up. Even after mistakes. So, Iâm convinced that youâll rock this one!â
âThank you.â He breathed out, the signs of stress nowhere in sight. He closed his eyes for a moment and breathed slowly before opening them again, a look of determination now in place. âAlright, letâs film this video! To the tailor to choose an outfit!â He exclaimed as he began to storm towards town.
You preferred to see your Deuce like this.
âWhoa!â Exclaimed your boyfriend as he entered the dressing room. âThatâs a lot of clothes... Iâm sure to find something fitting for an honor student!â
And just like that, he was gone between the racks, skimming through every one of them with his eyebrows furrowed. You silently chuckled to yourself as you looked at him. He really was on a mission to find the perfect outfit. A few moments later, he came running back to you with a huge grin on his face as he proudly presented you the clothes he had picked.
âWhat do you think about this white shirt with these blue moccasins?â
âUhmâŚâ You said, not sure how to tell him that it looked way too plain and serious for a filming project.
âEh? You donât like it?â
âItâs not that I donât like it. Itâs just a little bit too plain?â You tried, hoping not to crush his determination.
âToo plain?!â He exclaimed and then quickly checked his reflection in one of the mirrors decorating the room. âI guess youâre right. This is difficult⌠Could you help me out?â
âOf course! ThenâŚâ You began as you observed the different jackets and shirts. âOh, I know. How about pearls?â
âPearls?â Deuce asked as he joined you.
âYes! It might create a serious look without making it too plain.â
âOh! I see! That might be a good idea!â
After composing the perfect outfit, the blue-haired boy ran happily to the fitting room, a sparkle of curiosity in his eyes.
âItâs embarrassing to wearâŚâ You heard your boyfriendâs muffled voice from behind the curtain.
âWhat are you talking about? Iâm sure we did a good job at picking it out! Let me see.â
Slowly, the curtain opened, letting you see him fully dressed in his new outfit. He really looked quite different from usual; his bangs were parted, and the unusual combo of yellow and blue suited him quite well.
âMy, donât you look handsome right now?â You teased softly as you caught his cheeks reddening.
âHandsome?!â He blurted out, avoiding your gaze. âI⌠Thank youâŚâ
âOh, but youâre welcome.â You responded happily.
âThough, itâs true,â He began, trying to change the subject. âButtoning everything to the very top makes me look like an honor student! Iâm glad we chose this together. Thanks again!â
The two of you left the tailor shop and headed to town, hand in hand. Deuce was staring at your interlinked hands with awe. It has been some months now since you started dating, but it seemed like he still couldnât wrap his head around it. That made you quietly chuckle, which earned you a little gasp as the boy tore his gaze away.
âThe breeze feels nice, d-donât you think?â He asked, his voice trembling slightly.
âVery much. It looks like summer is almost here.â You responded, playing dumb to his attempt at diverting your attention.
âOh!â Exclaimed Deuce as he came to a halt in front of a burger restaurant. âThe poster has changed.â
Successfully diverting your attention, you looked at said-poster. âItâs true. Is it for their new menu?â
âIt looks like it is! I canât wait to try it out. Iâve heard their new burger is absolutely delicious!â He exclaimed happily.
âWe should try it out sometime.â
âI thought the same thing! Though, we wonât go with Ace. Every time I think about the last time we tried to do our homework there and how he kept making fun of us for being slow, it makes my blood boil. So, weâll go just the two of us next time.â
âLike a date?â You teased, not resisting the opportunity he had given you.
âI⌠I guess you could call it a dateâŚâ He said, avoiding your gaze. âAh! But only if you want to, of course! I donât want to force you!â He quickly exclaimed with wide eyes.
âHow could I refuse a date with my boyfriend?â
âI guess youâre right. Then, letâs schedule it once we get back.â He said with a smile.
After walking for a few more moments, the two of you stopped in front of a shoe shop, but what caught your eye wasnât the storefront but rather the sign âShoe repair.â
âWeâre here. Thatâs the place I want to introduce for the video.â Said your boyfriend.
âI didnât know some stores still repaired shoesâŚâ
âI know, right? I happened to discover this shop when I needed to buy new shoes for the track and field club. But when I asked the manager for some recommendations, he offered to repair them.â
âHow long did they last?â
âUntil last week's training.â
âThey lasted for at least six months?!â You exclaimed.
âCan you imagine? I was also shocked to see how the repair gave my shoes a second life. The staff here is really talented.â
âThatâs why you want to introduce this place; I get it now.â
âLetâs go inside so that I can show you around.â
The store looked like any other store; shoe boxes were displayed in various sizes and colors and were organized according to their use. Though, you noticed that the sports section offered way more options; from spelldrive shoes to running shoes, every club of Night Raven College could find what they looked for. You were sure of it.
âAlright, Iâm ready to start.â Said Deuce, cutting you from your observations.
You nodded and took out your phone as you heard him repeating his speech between some âWhat was it again?â Once you were settled, you gave him a thumbs-up and a smile. He closed his eyes and breathed slowly for a moment before looking at you as he mouthed a âready.â
âGood afternoon, I am a Heartslabyul student, Deuce Spade from class 1A.â Exclaimed your boyfriend as he began. âI would like to introduce this shoe store. Located in the heart of Foothill Town, this store has everything you need. Their selection is vast and⌠What was it again?â He muttered to himself as a few seconds of silence followed. âAh, yes. I remember. As I was saying, the staff is very competent and offers you recommendations based on your walking habitsâŚâ
After a few moments and a few awkward silences, Deuce managed to get to the end of his script (not without forgetting a few parts) as you ended the video.
âCan you show me the footage, please?â Asked the boy.
âOf course. Here, take a look.â You responded as you turned the screen towards him.
Another awkward silence filled the room around you as you finished looking at the video.
âI sound way too stiff.â Muttered your boyfriend.
âI agree.â
âWhat can I do to sound less stiff though⌠I really want to talk about their shoe repair service, but itâs difficult to put it into wordsâŚâ
âDeuce.â
âYes?â
âDidnât you tell me just now that your running shoes needed reparation?â
âI did say that, yes. Why are you⌠Oh! I get it! You want to film the repair process!â He exclaimed.
âThatâs right. Itâll be easier for the viewers to understand, and youâll sound less stiff since itâll be a conversation with the owner.â
âThatâs amazing! Iâm really happy to have you here with me! Iâll go ask the owner.â He said as he stormed towards the counter.
The two of you had just left the shoe shop with some wonderful footage of the repair process.
âI canât believe it.â Breathe out Deuce, as you were walking towards Bonbon Recette. âMy running shoes look brand new! They just got a third life! This shop is really amazing!â
âI agree. It was fascinating to see the owner work, though the best part was the number of options to choose from for your soles!â
âI was so stunned when the owner asked me to choose the soles⌠It was embarrassingâŚâ
âI wasnât better than you. When he began to present all the different options, my brain blacked out.â
He chuckled in response. âIâm glad I wasnât the only one.â
Soon enough, the sweet smell of pastries and the storefront of the bakery came into view. Both of you rushed inside, curious to discover what the establishment had prepared for your boyfriendâs birthday.
âWoah! This place is really stylish!â Exclaimed Deuce as he entered the building. âI feel out of place in such a fancy vibe.â
âDeuce, I think you forgot about the clothes you are wearing.â You reminded.
He quickly looked at his outfit before breathing out. âI guess, youâre right⌠haha.â
âThere are so many sweets hereâŚâ You said as you admired the display.
âThatâs true⌠Oh!â The boyâs gaze fell on the table set up for him. âIs that the special jelly prepared for me? Look at those grapefruits covered in syrup!â He exclaimed as he put his fork in his mouth.
âItâs so refreshing!â He hummed in delight, mouth still full. âAnd I think itâs soda flavored.â
âYou think?â
âYes? Please have some!â He said as he pushed the plate towards you.
âIâm not going to say no but before thatâŚâ
The boy tilted his head to the side.
âA very happy birthday, Deuce.â You said with a smile.
âI⌠Thank you! Iâll put my all this year too! And also⌠thank you for helping me.â He responded with a smile of his own. âI couldnât have done it without you.â
âYou did the big part of the job.â
âYes but⌠in my moments of doubt, you were here for me. And⌠Iâm grateful for this. So, thank you.â
âYouâre welcome.â You whispered as you kissed his cheek. âIâll always be here for you. By the way, you didnât ask me to take a picture of you to send to your mother. Would you like to take it now?â
âOh, youâre right! She would love to see my outfit! Iâll also call her tonight once weâre back to tell her about this wonderful day!â
Deuce flashed his biggest smile to the camera, knowing that the two persons he loved the most were proud of him and that was the best gift he could ever receive.

You were comforting Grim, who was sad. Instead of trying to divert his attention to something happier, like Kalim would have done, you asked him what was wrong. When he explained it to you, instead of saying âThat must be roughâ or âI understandâ, you told him that you couldnât understand but that you were willing to lend an ear and a shoulder to cry on. This struck Kalim. Thatâs what he should have done with Jamil ever since they were children. He should have had a true conversation with him. Not to try to understand his strugglesâhe knew he couldnât since their lives are literal oppositesâbut rather to be aware of them and offer him a presence. Instead, he chose to be oblivious and closed his eyes to his friendâs suffering; fault on him and the system that asked him to do that. Maybe, if he had talked with Jamil, he would have let him help. Kalim knew what he had to do. Your words only encouraged him to try harder and make up with his friend.
Ace and Deuce had invited you to hang out, but you said no, telling them you needed time for yourself. That baffled Jamil, who always said yes, part of his position but also part of his pride. He convinced himself that he could do anything. He didnât need rest or time for himself. He was perfect. At least thatâs what he thought during the day. When night would fall and he would be alone in his room, that was the opposite. Always saying to himself, âWhy did I say yes? I need time for myself.â But admitting this meant he wasnât as okay and perfect as he convinced himself. Jamil would love to have your courage to admit your feelings and needs. Maybe if he had done that earlier, Kalim would have understood⌠maybe; itâs Kalim weâre talking about. Or he could try to vent to someone who has nothing to do with this. Maybe he will feel understood even if it pains him to admit that he may need it.
The sound of a curtain opening caught Vilâs attention. You had emerged from it, wearing an outfit with the most atrocious choice of colors he had ever seen in his life. Vil immediately thought about stepping in and teaching you a thing or two about colors and composition. But his lecture vanished when he saw you burst out laughing with Grim. And maybe, just maybe, he smiled at the sight. Seeing you try out colorful clothes and mixing different styles reminded him about the essence of fashion: creating. Ever since he was a child, he had been thrown into trends and designer clothes. But, before that, he experienced different styles before finding his own. He, too, tried on an outfit that looked atrocious just to check it wouldnât suit him. Maybe you were a step above him in terms of fashion by creating, serious or not, a new style.
When someone asked you if you were the magicless prefect and you answered yes without reacting, Epel was baffled. Your reaction did. All his life, he had been summarized to be only cute. Nothing else. He couldnât hear that word anymore without having his blood boil. He canât imagine how many times you had been reduced to the magicless prefect by the students at NRC. He admired your strength to not snap at them. If it were him, he would have already punched them. He had asked you the question before: âWhy donât you tell them that you are way more than that?â You had told him that they were not wrong; it was a part of you, and by not snapping at them, people would see other things in you. Because they saw that you accepted that part of yourself and embraced it. Not ashamed one bit. Epel thought that he too could learn to accept his cute features, and maybe he would grow better this way.
Rook discovered rather quickly a similarity between the both of you. He had stumbled on you crouching down to look at something with a little smile on your face. When he approached you and peered over your shoulder, he discovered a little ladybug perched on a flower. As the ladybug took flight and came to rest on your finger, you beamed. Another day, he saw you looking up at the sky for a few minutes. When asked what you were looking at, you said there was a funny-shaped cloud. Rook understood that you had the same wonder in your eyes as him. Always trying to find beauty even in the most mundane things. That would bring a smile to your face but also to those who asked you what you were doing. According to him, finding beauty everywhere painted the world in various colors and warmed even the most tired hearts. Beauty isnât just for the eyes; itâs also for the heart, and Rook was glad that you understood that too.

A spoonful of sweetness - Silver edition
What if discovering Silverâs favorite spots in Foothill Town isnât just for the video Night Raven asked for but is also a way to celebrate your boyfriendâs birthday?
Today was a beautiful day. The sun was shining, the flowers were in bloom, and the birds were singing happily. Nature always had a way to react to Silverâs milestones. It seemed that once more, it was happy to celebrate the boyâs birthday. You were making your way towards Diasomnia to meet up with your boyfriend. He had come to you the day before, asking you to accompany him, but the agreed meeting time had long since been exceeded. When Silver isnât somewhere in advance, it means that he has fallen asleep somewhere.
You had expected many things: seeing him sleeping draped over the couch or maybe under a tree. But you definitely werenât expecting to see him awake. The first thing you heard before entering his room was his soft laugh. It wasnât often that the boy laughed, so you couldnât help but peek inside the room, where you were met with the cutest sight you could think of. Silver was still in his pajamas, a sign that he was indeed sleeping, while holding a single flower in his hand. A little bird was perched on his windowsill, chirping happily as it looked at the boy.
âIs the bird wishing you a happy birthday?â You asked, deciding to let your presence be known.
Both the knight in training and the bird looked in your direction, surprised by your arrival. Though, it wasnât long before your boyfriend cracked a smile.
âI suppose it is, indeed.â He said as he placed the flower on his desk and thanked the bird, who decided to tag along and perched on his shoulder.
âYou were sleeping just a minute ago, werenât you?â You teased lightly.
âI apologize for keeping you waiting. I didnât mean to sleep for so long. Luckily, this bird helped me wake up. Otherwise, I donât know when I would have opened my eyes.â
âI donât mind, Silver. I donât mind at all.â You reassured him with a smile. âThough, if we want to enjoy this day to the fullest, we should maybe head out soon.â
âYouâre right. Wait for me in the lounge. Iâll meet you there in a minute.â
Once Silver was ready, both of you headed to Foothill Town. On the way, the boy kept telling you how grateful he was for your help and your presence. The rest of the walk was quiet with no words exchanged; thatâs what you learned to love. Silence always carries that uncomfortable atmosphere, but not with Silver. The boy never spoke much, but that doesnât mean he doesnât feel or think. Quite the contrary, he always had a way of making you feel like you mattered because you know that every time he speaks, it comes from his heart, and thatâs irreplaceable.
âIncredible.â Said Silver as he entered the tailor shop and scanned the different clothes. âThere are so many outfits preparedâŚâ
âFor sureâŚâ
Both of you began to walk around the room to examine each piece of clothing. After a moment, you caught a glimpse of a dozing Silver between two racks. You chuckled quietly to yourself before gently shaking him awake.
âSilver, weâre supposed to choose an outfit for you.â
â⌠Ah!â Exclaimed the boy as he jolted awake. âMy apologies.â
âTake your time. Itâs your special day after all.â You encouraged.
âI know, but⌠I really want to show you a place. I better hurry and find a suitable outfit.â
His focus back on, he carried on his previous examination. A few moments later, you heard a sigh coming from him.
âIs something wrong?â You asked.
âI donât have many preferences in terms of clothing. I usually wear what I have on hand as long as itâs easy to move in⌠I really donât have much experience when it comes to picking formal wear. Could you help me?â
âOf course, no problem.â
âI thought of wearing a black tailcoat.â He said as he looked at you.
âA tailcoat? It may be a bit too stiffâŚâ
âI see⌠Then, how about a gray jacket?â
ââŚâ
âWhatâs wrong? Did I say something that angered you?â Attempted the boy.
âMaybe you could try clothes and colors you donât usually wear? Like this red jacket? That might create a more spring-like lookâŚâ You asked as you held said jacket in your hands.
âOf course, red is the color of strawberries. That reminds you of spring? Very well, Iâll go try it on. Iâll be right back.â He said, heading towards the changing room.
âThere, Iâm ready.â
You turned your head towards your boyfriend, fully dressed in red. Itâs true that you said that red was a spring color, but to think he would choose the same for his whole outfit⌠Either way, he looked happy about it, so you were too.
âThatâs lovely, Silver.â You said with a smile.
âMatching colors and clothes is more difficult than I thought. I donât know much about it, but I tried to add accessories. What do you think?â
Looking at the strawberry brooch and his necklace, you approved his choice with a nod, which earned you a sigh of relief from your lover.
âIâm glad. That settles it, then. We should head to town now.â
Just as you were about to open the door, his voice stopped you.
âThank you. I wouldnât have been able to choose a suitable outfit without you. You have my gratitude.â
âYouâre welcome, Silver.â You said with a smile as you kissed his cheek and took his hand in yours. âNow, let us head to the place you mentioned!â
With such beautiful weather, the town was bustling with life. You were walking peacefully with your boyfriend at your side as you pointed out to him different shops you were frequenting: from the local supermarket to your favorite clothes store. Silver had been silently listening to you, sometimes asking you what you bought or what you liked about the shop.
âYouâre very knowledgeable about this.â He said after you introduced him to a new place.
âI like to pass time here. There are so many more things to do here than on campus.â
âI donât come here very often, and when I do, I buy what I need and head back. I never imagined there were so many different storesâŚâ
âYou never let yourself be tempted by a colorful storefront or an interesting discount?â You asked.
âNo. I have everything I need. Though I once came across a handmade ocarina, and that made me want to go play mine.â
âYou have an ocarina?â
A little smile appeared on his lips as he answered you. âYes, itâs a gift my father gave me from one of his travels.â
âThatâs so cool! Can you play it?â
âI can.â He said. Your eyes immediately lit up at his answer, which he didnât miss and added. âIt seems that you are interested. Very well, Iâll let you know when I plan to play it again. I hope itâll be to your liking.â
âIâm sure it will be.â
âHow can you be sure?â
âBecause youâll be the one playing it.â You said with a smile.
Soon, the view changed. The houses and plaza had given way to boats and the peaceful sound of the waves against the docks. It always bewildered you how different the atmosphere was.
âThatâs the place I wanted to show you.â Admitted the boy as he resumed his walking, still holding your hand in his.
âI like it.â
âIâm glad. Itâs a very pleasant place. Not very crowded, with only the sound of the waves and the sea breeze to accompany you.â
A comfortable silence took over once more as you admired the boats or just focused on the sun grazing your skin. Your steps guided you to the beach, where the warm sand greeted you. You let out a sigh of contentment. It was truly a perfect day. Though, of course, the peace couldnât last. Out of nowhere, something flew right above your head with its wings almost brushing your head.
âWhat was that?!â You shrieked as your hands went to cover your head.
âIt was a seagull.â Responded Silver with a straight face.
âA seagull?!â
âYes, they usually keep me company when I train here.â
âThey keep you company?â You asked, not really sure to understand his statement. At the same time, a seagull screeched as if it were laughing at you. You glared at it from the corner of your eye.
âYes, theyâre good training partners.â
âHow can you train with seagulls?â You whispered to yourself just as another bird screeched at you.
âHere, theyâre ready to start training.â Said your boyfriend as his eyes locked with a seagull on the sand. âWe play chase. Since Iâm running on the sand, that makes me strengthen my legs.â He explained as his whole body prepared to bolt, running.
âYou play⌠chase?â You asked as you saw your boyfriend starting to run in the direction of the seagull.
It lasted for a while; you watched your boyfriend run after a bunch of birds with all his might. He had invited you to join him, but seeing the diabolic look in the seagullsâ eyes, you knew you would get attached right away, so you politely declined under the same mocking screeches.
â⌠Thank you⌠I appreciate your patience to wait for me while I trainedâŚâ Said your boyfriend, out-of-breath after his training session.
âYouâre welcome. Though, Iâm sure those seagulls were mocking me.â You said, glaring at them as they disappeared at the horizon.
âI think they just wanted to play.â
âYou heard how they were laughing at me?!â
âItâs their way of acknowledging your presence.â
Knowing you wouldnât be able to convince your boyfriend to take your side, you decided to drop the subject.
Once Silver had recovered from all his running, you decided to walk some more on the beach before heading to Bonbon Recette for what your boyfriend had called his post-training recovery. The sight of rubies met you as soon as you reached the storefront of the bakery. From strawberry tarts to strawberry jam-filled pastries, everywhere you looked, the strawberry was showcased.
âThis strawberry cake looks delicious and fresh.â Exclaimed your boyfriend as his vision landed on the cake set up for him. He took one strawberry with his hand and put it in his mouth. His eyes lit up instantly. âItâs delicious!â
âI never took you for the type to eat with your fingers.â
You saw his eyes widen, realizing that what heâs done wasnât really formal. âNot that I mind, though. It tastes better this way.â You added to reassure him as you copied his gesture.
âThatâs what Iâve been told since Iâm little. I would head outside and pick wild strawberries with the animals that accompanied me, and we would eat them together. It became a habit since then.â
You imagined a younger Silver eating bright red berries with little rabbits and birds, and you couldnât help but melt at the vision.

A spoonful of sweetness - Epel edition
What if discovering Epelâs favorite spots in Foothill Town isnât just for the video Night Raven asked for but is also a way to celebrate your boyfriendâs birthday?
The apples on the courtyardâs tree were finally in bloom, announcing the settlement of spring. Both the students and the nature seemed happy about it. From pollen flying everywhere to picnics being organized on the schoolâs grounds. Everyone seemed to enjoy the soft breeze and the first warm days the sun had to offer. You were currently picking strawberries in the courtyard to snack on them later. Maybe you would invite your first-year friends, but that had to wait because a voice called out to you.
âHere you are! Iâve been waiting for you, you know?â
âWaiting for meâŚâ You began, then immediately looked towards the clock in horror. âAlready?! Iâm so sorry, Epel. I was so engrossed in picking strawberries that I didnât notice the time passing. Were you waiting for long?â You asked, embarrassed.
âNot really. Besides, I knew where to find you.â
âReally?â
âYes, you kept mentioning when we were going to alchemy how the smell of strawberries was driving you crazy and how you would certainly go pick some for snacking.â Your boyfriend explained while chuckling.
âPhew, Iâm glad then.â You exhaled.
âNow, should we get going? Iâm really excited to go into town!â He exclaimed with a smile.
You nodded, just as excited as him, and offered him some strawberries as you began to walk on the path leading to Foothill Town.
âWhoa! Theyâre really good!â
âWhy do you think I kept telling you about them? They are AMAZING!â
âJust you wait before Grandma sends me a box filled with our latest harvest. Youâll see how good our apples are!â
On your way to the tailor shop, the two of you argued about which fruit was the best. With Epel trying to explain to you the qualities of the apple while you stayed on your precious strawberries.
âI tell you! You donât have that crunchy texture in strawberries while in apples, you have it. Itâs way better! Plus, you can take a big bite out of an apple when the best you can do with a strawberry is to gulp it down.â Exclaimed Epel, proud of his points.
âI let you win today since itâs your birthday.â You concluded.
âExcuses. Itâs just because you donât want to admit that I convinced you.â He said, smirking at you.
Just as you were about to reply, the boy stopped dead in his tracks, making you run into his back.
âEpel! Why did you stop all of a sudden?â You asked, peering over his shoulder to try to see what caused him to act this way.
âWhoaâŚâ You both breathed out at the same time.
âThere are so many clothes lined up! Are we really in a local tailor shop?â Exclaimed your boyfriend as he looked around.
âI donât know but we have lots of option to choose from, thatâs for sure.â
âYes, butâŚâ Began the lavender-haired boy as he scanned the different racks. âIt seems that theyâre all elegant and refined designs. I donât see any cool-looking clothesâŚâ
âI think some of them look pretty cool.â You said, looking at him with a curious gaze. âWhat do you call cool?â
âIâm glad you asked!â He exclaimed as he grinned. âI want a tough looking outfit with a big dragon or tiger embroidery on the back of a jacket with flashy colors! If itâs a leather jacket, it would be even better!â Stars now in his eyes as he went on and on.
âI see⌠But donât you already have a leather jacket?â You asked, tilting your head. âDidnât you buy one just recently?â
âOh, you remember. Yes, I bought one last month, butâŚâ
âBut?â
âWhen I tried it on in my room, my roommate said it was ruining my charm⌠He doesnât have taste or what?! The pointy studs and leather were made for me!â He breathed out, irritated. âI swear, if I were in Savanaclaw, no one would say that to me or give me a face mask for my birthday!â
âYour roommate gave you a face mask for your birthday?â
âYES!â Yelled Epel. Immediately after his outburst, he calmed down and smiled sheepishly at you. âSorry, I got carried away.â
âItâs fine. At least I know what you mean by cool clothes now.â You said calmly.
âAh, y-yes⌠That was the subject of the conversation.â He muttered.
âWhile you were⌠venting.â You began. âI looked for some clothes, and I found this jacket. What do you think about it?â You said, holding it in front of you.
âUh? Thatâs nice of you, thanks.â He said as his eyes scanned the piece of clothing. âIâm not really sure about the patterns on the sleeves and the brooches though⌠Arenât they a bit too cute?â
âI think itâll look cool on you.â
âHeh? You really think so?â
âIâm sure of it.â You said, determined.
âI guess I can trust you for now⌠But it better be cool!â He exclaimed as he made his way towards the changing room.
After some time, you heard a faint âwhoaâ echoing from the fitting room before you saw your boyfriend emerging from it with a huge grin on his face.
âIt actually turned out pretty cool. Thanks a bunch! Iâm glad you were here to help.â
âYouâre welcome, Epel. You also tied your hair up? It looks good on you.â You said with a smile.
âI⌠Thank youâŚâ He said, avoiding your gaze. âEither way, itâs about time we head to town. Letâs go!â He exclaimed, storming towards the door, trying to make you forget about the pink dusting his cheeks.
Near Foothill Townâs center, all restaurant terraces were packed to the brick, a clear sign that the weather was much more enjoyable. The townâs plaza was also full of people. Some of them were discussing on the benches near the fountain while children were splashing water at each other. The town seemed alive after a long period of lonely visitors during winter.
âWoah⌠There are so many people hereâŚâ Exclaimed Epel as he looked around him. âI really donât understand when someone says that thereâs nothing to do here. Why they would say that? Itâs a really fun place with lots of things to do!â
âMaybe you see this many activities since thereâs not much to do in HarvestonâŚâ
âI guess youâre right. Besides working on the farm, thereâs⌠not much you can do. Which is why Iâm bringing you to the movie theater!â He exclaimed, grinning from ear to ear.
âThe movie theater?â
âYes! Thereâs no such place in Harveston, so whenever I wanted to watch a movie, I had to wait until it was available on TV or on some online platform. I kept hearing my classmates talk about the latest movie while I couldnât see it. It was so frustrating!â
âI get it. Itâs annoying to get spoilers.â You said with an air of annoyance on your face.
âRight?! Itâs like the worst!â He exclaimed as you nodded vigorously in response.
âAnd what do you plan on watching today?â You asked as the movie theater came into view.
âI kept hearing my dorm members talk about this philosophical movieâŚâ
âI didnât take you for the type to like this kind of movie.â You said, perplexed.
It seems like Epel was waiting for an answer like this one when he smirked at you and proudly exclaimed. âSurprising, right? You know, Iâm mature enough to enjoy these movies.â
âIf you say so⌠Should we get our tickets then?â
âYes, and letâs not forget about the snacks!â He exclaimed.
âI want sweet popcorn.â You stated.
âHuh? Sweet? Salted is way better!â
After two hours in a comfortable seat and an empty bucket of sweet and salted popcorn by your side, the movie ended and you made your way back to the entrance hall.
âWhat did you dream about?â You asked teasingly as you watched your boyfriend rubbing his eyes.
âI dreamed about how we harvested the biggest apples in all of Twisted Wonderland! We even got a prize and a picture in the journal! Man, I wish it was real.â He exclaimed happily before his eyes widened as they landed on your amused smirk. âI mean⌠I didnât really understand why the characters didnât speak⌠Everything would have been easier if they spoke⌠Haha.â He laughed sheepishly.
âYou werenât very discreet, you know?â You teased.
âWas IâŚâ
âYou were snoring. Loudly. I had to put my hand on your mouth to prevent you from annoying all the room.â
âHaha⌠Thanks, I guess.â He rubbed his head, still embarrassed.
âTell me,â You began, catching his attention. âWe went to see that movie because you wanted to impress the other Pomefiore members, didnât you?â
âI⌠Maybe?â
You exhaled as you took your forehead in your hand. Before you could utter a single word, he immediately argued.
âFlashy action movies are way better than whatever we watched today! The big explosions, the tough fights, the duel against the bad guy. Itâs just way more satisfying! Besides, whatâs the point of such a big screen if itâs not for the special effects? The impact is smashing!â
âYouâre unbelievable.â You breathed out and smiled. âWeâll go see an action movie next time we come here.â
âYes!â He exclaimed, grinning from ear to ear.
You both left the movie theater and headed to Bonbon Recette while debating which movie you should watch when you get back to school. But the problem is, with such stubborn persons such as you and Epel, the discussion went in circles and would have kept going if it wasnât for the bakery that appeared at the end of the street. As soon as the smell of the fresh pastries reached your noses, the both of you ran towards the entrance, the choice being postponed to the evening.
âIâm starving! Oh, I canât wait to taste everything!â Exclaimed your boyfriend in anticipation.
âI wonder what flavor the tart will beâŚâ
âI hope itâs apple.â He said with a grin. âAfter all, itâs the best fruit.â
âWell, just to prove you wrong, I hope it will be strawberries to show you how good it is!â You replied.
The bet now in place, you rushed to the table set up for him and examined each cake.
âLook! Itâs strawberry flavored! I won!â You exclaimed as you took the tart in your hands.
âLook! Itâs apple flavored! I won!â He exclaimed at the same time as the apple pie rested in his hands.
You both stopped and stared at each other in silence for a few seconds before bursting out laughing.
âI guess we both won this one.â You said.
âI guess, butâŚâ He began as his smirk took its place once again. âI wonder which one will taste betterâŚâ
You didnât have time to respond that he had already taken a big bite out of the strawberry tart and was munching on it quite happily.
âIt tastes so good!â He exclaimed in delight. âNow, for the apple pie.â
A few seconds later, his face lit up with stars in his eyes.
âItâs delicious! The crunchy texture of the apple is the best, I told you so!â
âItâs not fair! Youâre the only one who tasted them. Let me have a bite too so I can give you my opinion.â You pouted.
âHere, you can have some.â He said with a smile as he handed you the rest of the strawberry tart.
âCareful! The toppings are about to fall on your clothes!â You exclaimed, pointing to said toppings.
âHeh?! Oh, youâre right! I really have to be careful. I donât want to ruin the clothes you chose for me.â
You smiled at his cute response and said. âHappy birthday, Epel.â
âThank you so much for today. It was a blast!â
âIt was fun too, even though strawberry is the best fruit.â You muttered the last part.
âI beg your pardon?!â He exclaimed. âApple is better.â
âStrawberry.â
âApple.â
âStrawberry.â
âApple.â
âRaspberry.â
âWhere is this coming from?!â
You both burst out laughing as you continued to banter. Days like these were the best.

Leona saw you near a shop. You were browsing through the different aisles when you encountered a child on their tiptoes trying to reach an item on a shelf. You approached him and asked him if they needed help. As the child nodded, you took the desired item and handed it to them with a smile. The child beamed at the item, now in his hands, and thanked you before running back to their parent. You watched him disappear into the distance until they reached their parent. Unknown to you, Leona had been watching you. He liked how you cared about others with kindness and patience. Maybe, though he will never admit it, he saw a glimpse of himself in you. He does that too⌠Caring about others. Maybe less openly than you, but he still does. Be it Cheka, Jack, Epel, or Ruggie, he makes sure those kids are doing alright. After all, they deserve kindness and support. Kindness and support he didnât have in his childhood. The second prince never had any after all. Which is why heâs determined to be someone others can rely on. In his own way, of course. But heâll always lend an ear to anyone who may need it.
You were sitting on a bench with Grim, taking a break. When he said he was hungry, you took out your snack and shared it, giving him the biggest part. Ruggie saw you smile at Grim as he munched happily on his half. That reminded him of his life at home. He would always give his share to the other kids. And seeing them smile at the sight of food always warmed his heart. Yes, his stomach was still empty, but seeing them happy had always been much more rewarding to him than having a full stomach. Heâs sure you thought the same. You were always buying and eating tuna with Grim even though you would prefer more diverse meals. Maybe he would share his snack with you next time. What are you talking about? No, itâs not to see you smileâŚ
You were studying hard for your next exams. Even though you knew you wouldnât get a good score since it was shared with Grim, who, letâs say, isnât working very much. At Ace and Deuceâs question, âWhy are you even trying so hard?â, you answered that you were doing this to make yourself proud. That reminded Jack of himself. He, too, always gave it his all. Not to shine, not to be noticed, not to be the best. Simply to be proud of himself. To know he gave it his all and acknowledge his strengths and weaknesses. He remarked how having this mindset allowed him to grow and get a better understanding of himself. For that, Jack could only respect you.
You have been helping Ace and Deuce with their homework for some time now. And Azul had picked on something. No matter how many times you would help them, you would never expect something in return. Sure, if they gave you snacks or invited you to hang out as a thank-you, you would accept, but you never ran after them demanding something in return. Azul didnât understand. Thatâs not how it should work, no? Itâs always something for something in return. Thatâs the only way to gain trust and allies, isnât it? One time, you had told him that just seeing their smile or the thankfulness in their eyes was a reward on its own. Besides, kindness isnât something you count for those you love. Now that he thought about it, his parents never asked for anything in return whenever they would help him. Now, expect a little smile or a gratitude note from Azul every once in a while. He does that to gain an ally, nothing more. Itâs not at all because he wants to experience true kindness.
Jade was walking around town when he saw you sitting on the sand, facing the sea. No sunset, no shining sun to admire. Just the rhythm of the waves and the wind going through your locks. You had a pensive look on your face. Jade always loved seeing sides people never showed, kept secret. That made things interesting after all. But seeing you here, looking so vulnerable, so at peace. He didnât feel thrilled for once. He just felt like he was intruding. Maybe he didnât want to discover all your secrets just by peering into your eyes. Maybe he wanted to investigate and discover them thanks to your little habits or the way you reacted. Or maybe it reminded him of himself. Always hiding everything, never pouring his heart out. Being secretive had its good sides. People didnât know what to expect. He could be himself in moments like this one. Just you and the wavesâhe liked doing that too. Letting them see the true you. He decided to just gaze at you from a distance, admiring your soul laid bare in front of him, yet your secrets still waiting to be discovered.
The first thing Floyd heard was a laugh. When he turned his head, he saw you playing tag with Grim in the sand and waves. Splashing water at each other, laughing and grinning until your cheeks hurt. Not once did you turn around to look at the odd stares of the locals. Floyd liked that. You were letting your inner child come out and have its fun without letting anyone bother you. He did that too sometimes. Just letting his thoughts get wild and forgetting about everything else. This way, he had his share of fun, and he got to see everyone's surprised expression every time he would switch. Seeing you have fun and laughing to no tomorrow, he felt like he could try to get that side of you to come out more often. And who knows, if heâs in the mood, heâll join you in your game of tag.

A spoonful of sweetness - Ruggie edition
What if discovering Ruggieâs favorite spots in Foothill Town isnât just for the video Night Raven asked for but is also a way to celebrate your boyfriendâs birthday?
You were admiring the changes spring had brought upon the campus; flowers were in full bloom, fruits were getting ripe, and the sun was starting to last longer throughout the day. It was a wonderful day to celebrate your boyfriendâs birthday! But something was off⌠You had been waiting for some time now. You checked your phone, no message⌠Where was Ruggie? You had agreed on meeting now on Main Street. Just where was he? If Leona had sent him on an errand, you would have received a message complaining about the lion and his âprincely tantrumsâ. But here, nothing. Nothing at all. Just as you were about to call your boyfriend, you saw him running towards you with a huge grin.
âHi, sorry for the delay!â Exclaimed Ruggie as he stopped in front of you, out of breath.
âItâs alright, youâre here now.â You responded as your eyes glanced towards the huge basket he was carrying in his arms.
Following your glance, your boyfriend chuckled. âShishishi, youâre wondering what I have in this basket, arenât you?â
âWell⌠Yes. It looks quite heavy since youâre carrying it in your arms.â
âThatâs because Iâm taking advantage of this season to the fullest!â He exclaimed.
âWhat does that mean?â You inquired.
âIâm not giving answers for free. Buy me lunch, and I might tell you.â
Just as you were about to open your mouth to respond, he sprinted off towards the hall of mirrors.
âWhere are you going?!â You yelled for him to be able to hear you.
He merely lifted the basket in his arms and answered. âThis is valuable food. I canât let someone steal it from me!â
So it was food he was hiding. Too bad, Ruggie, you lost an occasion to get a free lunch, but you were planning to spoil him rotten today, so it didnât really matter.
After some time, your boyfriend finally came back, and you were able to head towards the tailor shop. Along the way, you listened to him grumble about the latest errands he had to do for Leona or how this project didnât make any sense since he wasnât paid for promoting a shop. Though, the smirk on his face told you he had found a way to make it valuable for him⌠Guess youâll find out soon.
âOh! There are so many classy clothes in hereâŚâ The boy whistled as he entered the fitting room. âDo you think Iâll get to keep what I pick?â He asked you with sparkles in his eyes and a huge grin.
âMaybe? Iâm not sureâŚâ
âEh? I guess Iâll ask the tailor later then.â He said with a smirk.
âBargain?â You asked with a raised eyebrow.
âBargain.â He confirmed with a nod before turning his attention towards the different racks. âBut if I want to be able to keep my outfit, I need to pick one. Letâs get to work!â
The both of you began to look through the different types of outfits, admiring the sparkling decorations and the clothes colors, surely influenced by the latest fashion trend neither you nor Ruggie knew about.
âThis jacket has so many gold accents, I take it!â Exclaimed all of a sudden your boyfriend.
When you turned your head from where you heard his voice, you saw him holding proudly with a huge grin the reddish jacket in his hands.
âItâs even strawberry jam colored! It looks as tasty as the gold makes it classy, donât you think?â He asked.
âI never described a piece of clothing as tasty, but I can see the reason whyâŚâ You muttered to yourself before responding louder. âOf course, it looks chic.â
âCan you imagine? I can dress like those nobles. Oh, I canât wait to try it on! Iâll be right back!â He exclaimed before disappearing behind the curtain of the changing room.
Sometime later, the sound of fabric rustling made you look towards the back of the room. A beautiful man emerged from the changing room with a red jacket with golden accents. How dashing he looked⌠Just who is that man? WaitâŚ
âI can see from your expression that I look good, shishishi.â The laugh you fell in love with suddenly reached your ears as you took a double take.
It was Ruggie for sure. Though something looked different about him, you couldnât pinpoint what. Sure, his clothes were way different from the ones he usually wore, but it wasnât that⌠Suddenly something caught the light and sparkled. Your eyes followed like a crow the shining light until they landed on his hair.
âThe hairpin!â You exclaimed out loud. âYou pushed your bangs aside!â
âTook you long enough, dummy.â Said Ruggie as he lightly hit your forehead with his fingers.
âHey!â
âIt really changes my whole look, doesnât it?â He asked teasingly.
âYou look like someone else entirelyâŚâ
âIsnât it? Thatâs what I thought too. Now, I look like one of those rich people. That makes me thinkâŚâ He exclaimed as he began to rummage through his pockets. âCould you take a picture of me?â He asked as he held out his phone to you.
âOf course. To keep as a memory?â
âNah. Itâs for Granny to see.â He said with a soft smile. âShe loves it when I show her what I do at school, so I thought I could do that to keep her happy.â
After taking some pictures and bargaining with the tailor, which Ruggie hadnât forgotten about (and won. Since the outfit is now his, courtesy of the tailor for his birthday). The both of you headed into town. Luckily for you, the weather was wonderful: shining sun, not a cloud in sight, and a soft breeze to guide you into the little streets Foothill Town had to offer.
âWhat do you usually do when youâre in town?â Asked your boyfriend as you were walking together towards his destination of choice.
âWell⌠It depends. Sometimes I like to try out new cafes, try my luck at the arcade, or do karaoke⌠Sometimes I just like to walk near the docks to relax.â
âTalk about expensiveâŚâ He muttered to himself before speaking to you. âWhatâs your favorite cafĂŠ?â
âMhmâŚâ You pondered for a moment. âI would say⌠The one near the plaza, itâs really calm and cozy.â
âI see⌠Iâll try to gather enough money to invite you thereâŚâ He muttered.
âDid you say something?â
âNo! Not at all! You must be imagining it!â He exclaimed way too quickly.
Before you got the time to find something to retort, he started dragging you by the arm. âIâll show you some of my hidden spots⌠Though⌠I expect something in returnâŚâ
âIâll buy you lunch.â You said, knowing what the boy was hinting at.
âAnd now weâre talking! Letâs go!â He exclaimed happily.
He led towards a little street perpendicular to the main one. The moment you engulfed yourself in it, lots of culinary smells hit your nostrils: fresh bread, spicy soup, sweet fruits, and so on. Not even the best market of all Twisted Wonderland could compete with this. Ruggie seemed to catch your satisfied expression since he dragged you towards the showcase of a bakery.
He looked to the left, to the right, and then whispered in your ear. âThis bakery gives their leftover bread of the day for free thirty minutes before closing. But keep this to yourself. This is confidential information!â He said, motioning with his finger against his lips to stay silent.
You decided to play his game and nodded, amused by his antics. âYes, we canât have someone else know about this.â You whispered back.
âItâs good to talk business with people who know what theyâre talking about. Itâs a pleasure working with you.â He added with an amused grin, shaking your hand.
âThe pleasure is mine.â You responded with the same amused expression on your face.
Ruggie showed you around the town some more, presenting various establishments and their advantages. You were impressed, to say the least. Clearly, those addresses were the products of hours of research around town at various days and hours of the week.
âAnd thatâs all I can tell you for the price of one lunch. If you increase it to two or more, I can give you more addresses.â He said with a smirk.
âIâll think about it.â
âGood! Now, letâs head to the sports shop!â
âThe sports shop?â You asked.
âYes. Thatâs the place I want to introduce for my video.â
Once you entered the store, you looked around the different sections dedicated to running, swimming, hiking, dancing, and the list goes on. You turned around to look at your boyfriend to ask him where he wanted to go... He wasnât there. Your eyes caught his silhouette making a beeline for the Spelldrive corner. You quickly followed him as he was already setting his phone to film his video.
âArenât you nervous to talk in front of a camera?â You asked him, nervousness getting to you even though you werenât the one being filmed.
âNot really. I do a lot of things for my part-time jobs, and promoting stores is one of them.â He nodded once he inspected his work. âAlright, Iâm all good.â
You put yourself outside the frame and looked at him promoting the store.
âIâm at the sports shop where the Spelldrive club stocks up on all its equipment. From gears, cleaning products, and shoes to goggles. We can find everything here!â Exclaimed your boyfriend as he then proceeded to show different products, not without forgetting to name the club every once in a while.
Once he finished his little speech and put away the equipment he had showcased, he turned to you with a grin. âSo, how was it? Awesome, isnât it?â
âYes, it was. You really know how to promote something, butâŚâ You began unsure to keep going.
âBut?â
âWhy did you keep talking about the Spelldrive club even when it wasnât necessary.â
âOh, that. It seems like I have a true connoisseur with me. I canât hide anything from you.â He smirked. âI already told you that I hate working for free, right?â
You nodded.
âWell, I made a deal with the manager. I promote his store by saying how the prestigious Spelldrive club of the prestigious Night Raven College came to stock up here, and in return⌠ShishishiâŚâ He trailed off as his gaze went behind you.
You followed his eyes and found the manager of the store, smiling, as he handed Ruggie a huge box. âAnd I get this! Thank you so much, sir!â Finished the boy, beaming at the box in his arms.
âI should be the one to thank you for recommending us.â Responded the man.
âLook at that!â Exclaimed Ruggie as he tugged at your sleeve to get you to look inside the box. âTowels, maintenance and cleaning products, and even goggles! Thatâs what I call a win-win situation! Iâm so happy!â
âAre you going to share them with the rest of the club? It seems that thereâs a lot for one person.â You asked.
âAre you kidding me? They donât work and could benefit from such a gift? Of course, Iâm not sharing! ThoughâŚâ
âThough?â
âI could make an exception for youâŚâ
âFor me? But I donât even have magic!â You exclaimed, perplexed.
âAnd? Cleaning products can always work for other things than equipment. And towels are great for daily life too. So, here, take some.â
âI⌠Thank youâŚâ
âYouâre welcome. Itâs not like I can offer you much moreâŚâ He muttered the last part.
âOh, Ruggie. I donât care about expensive gifts or even gifts at all. I love you for who you are. Not what you possess. Just being here with you is already a wonderful gift for me, and I mean it.â You said softly, kissing his cheek.
âOh! There are so many cakes! They look sooo delicious!â Exclaimed your boyfriend excitedly once he entered Bonbon Recette as his eyes landed on his birthday table. âEverything looks sooo good. Thanks for the food!â
You didn't even have time to close the door of the establishment before his mouth was already full of cake. You laughed when his cheeks puffed, forming what you could describe as a smile. He really looked happy, and that brought a smile to your face.
âThe sweetness of the strawberries and the cream is perfect!â He exclaimed, muffled by his mouth full. âAnd there are donuts too! This is the best!â His eyes sparkling as you never saw them.
âHappy birthday, Ruggie.â You said with a smile.
âThanks! Birthdays truly are the best! Letâs eat all the cakes until the bakery is empty!â He exclaimed once more, already digging into the next cake.

A spoonful of sweetness - Vil edition
What if discovering Vilâs favorite spots in Foothill Town isnât just for the video Night Raven asked for but is also a way to celebrate your boyfriendâs birthday?
Spring has settled in on campus. The students were seen studying or chatting in the gardens under the sun, little birds were learning how to fly, and the flowers were in bloom. It seemed like everyone was full of life once more. You were waiting near the main street, hands fidgeting with your shirt for the fifth time in a few minutes. Vil had invited you to pass his birthday with him in town, giving you a stern look, threatening you to show yourself in front of him with a single wrinkle in your outfit. That explained your current predicament: checking again and again your outfit in fear of seeing a wrinkle appearing out of nowhere.
âMy, youâre here early.â A voice suddenly startled you. Your eyes widened and your back immediately straightened when you saw the person in front of you.
âV-Vil⌠HiâŚâ You said, your hands fidgeting even more than before as his expert eyes scanned your figure.
âNot bad at all.â He said with a little smile as you breathed out in relief. âIt looks like you made sure to straighten your outfit properly.â
âYeah⌠I didâŚâ You chuckled nervously.
âIâm proud of you. Youâre improving much faster than Epel.â He said with a smirk. âMaybe he could learn a thing or two from you.â
âThank you?â
âYouâre most welcome, my dear. Now, letâs head to that tailor. Iâm curious to see what heâll have in store.â He exclaimed with a smile, extending his hand out to you.
âOh my, thereâs quite a variety in here.â Declared your boyfriend, as he discovered the fitting rooms. âFufu, I wonder what kind of outfit Iâll come up with.â
Almost immediately, he began to analyze each rack with his fashion expert eyes. Knowing it wasnât your field of expertise compared to your lover, you decided to stand by and watch him. You saw his brows furrowing or raising in surprise every time a piece of clothing crossed his gaze. You caught some mutters like âThis color isnât trendy right nowâ or âThat tailor seems to know his work quite wellâ.
âSay Vil, I never saw you order clothes online. Do you ever do that?â You asked to fill the silence that was slowly making you uncomfortable.
âI never order clothes online.â He explained as his eyes fell on you. âI prefer to try them on to check if the outfit reflects the vibes Iâm searching for.â
You nodded and muttered a small âI seeâŚâ
âNow that you mention it, Iâve been meaning to tell youâŚâ Vil began once more, getting your attention. âNext week, I have a day free of modeling. The photoshoot has been rescheduled, so Iâm taking you out shopping.â
âShopping? But I donât needâŚâ
âYes, you do.â He cut you off, his eyebrows furrowing. âI canât let you wander everywhere with two outfits, with one of them being your school uniform. I donât know what Crowley's thinking, but clearly he doesnât bother with fashion. So, Iâll take the matter into my own hands.â
âThank you for worrying about me?â
âDonât mention it. Itâs basic necessities. One cannot grow more beautiful if they canât find their own style. And I intend to help you find it next week.â
You just smiled at him in gratitude, not knowing what to respond. He returned your smile for a brief moment before he clapped his hands, getting your attention back to the matter at hands.
âNow that Iâve chosen my outfit, Iâll go try it out. Prepare some compliments by the time Iâm back.â He said, winking at you before disappearing in the changing room.
A few moments later, your boyfriend emerged from behind the curtain in his new outfit. He smirked when he caught your eyes solely focused on him. He couldnât help but chuckle. âOh my, am I so beautiful that I left you speechless?â
You had nothing to say in your defense, so you just nodded as your cheeks reddened, which earned you more chuckles from the beautiful man in front of you.
âCome, letâs head into town so that everyone can see how dashing I look.â He said with a smirk.
On your way towards the place where Vil had made a reservation for the day, the two of you had talked about the most mundane things: the weather, classes, beauty, of course, and many more⌠Thatâs what you liked about your relationship with the actor. Yes, there were times when he would talk about beauty products and fashion trends, but other times, he would just listen to you talk about your favorite things and even question you to get to know better what you love.
âAnd here they go againâŚâ He exhaled as he checked his phone.
You peered over his shoulder, catching his latest post on Magicam: a picture of him in his brand new outfit that he had asked you to take at the tailor shop. âWhatâs wrong with it?â You asked, not seeing the problem.
âItâs not in the picture, which is well done given the circumstances, if I do say so myself. Itâs my fans.â
âYour fans?â
âYes. Whenever I post a new outfit, they go all over Magicam to try and find where I got my clothes. Clearly, they donât understand a thing about fashion. Replicating someoneâs outfit⌠How can they even call themselves fashion lovers if the only thing they can do is copy everyoneâs style but find their own?â
âI understand why youâre so annoyed nowâŚâ You said.
âFortunately, some people donât care about fashion trends or copying celebritiesâ outfits, and that makes them much more beautiful than those potatoes.â He exclaimed with a smile, looking at you with soft eyes.
âI guess soâŚâ You muttered, feeling butterflies from his kind words.
âThat makes me think, did you apply UV protection before waiting for me?â
âI⌠Of courseâŚâ You chuckled nervously as he lifted his eyebrow.
âHow did your skin even survive until today? Letâs start from the basics once more. So, to start your routine, you should always useâŚâ
And here you went again.
âAre you listening? I wonât go over it again.â
âYes!â
After what felt like an eternity, all the steps of the perfect skincare routine were anchored in your brain, and Vil looked quite happy when you were able to list the correct products. As you thought your mind would be stuck repeating âserumâ and âcreamâ over and over again, the one who had caused all this became your savior as he announced that you had arrived at the destination.
âI made an appointment at this sports therapy clinic.â He explained as he showed you the sign of the building.
âDo you come here often?â
âI visit the same practitioner rather regularly. His techniques are just marvelous. One appointment and I feel like my body is invigorated.â He exclaimed.
âI see⌠Itâs massages essentially, I suppose?â
âIndeed. Either way, youâll see for yourself.â
âWhat is that supposed to mean?â You asked, not understanding what heâs hinting at.
âIsnât it obvious? I made a reservation for myself but also for you.â
âFor me?!â You exclaimed, surprised.
âYes, for you. One look at you and I knew you needed a well-deserved massage for your poor back and shoulders. I can see how tense they are from over here. Iâll have a talk with the headmage once weâre back. He canât keep overworking his student. Now, come along.â He said as he linked his arm with yours and led you inside.
âGood afternoon, mister Schoenheit.â Greeted a man once you entered the reception.
âGood afternoon. I made an appointment for two back massages.â
âYes, indeed. You can go change clothes and wait in room 5. The practitioner will be there shortly.â
âUnderstood.â He nodded at the man and then looked at you. âShall we?â
Inside the room, two robes were neatly folded on the massage beds alongside a bottle of incense spreading a relaxing smell in the room.
âSoâŚâ You began nervously. âHow is a massage generally organized?â
âI beg your pardon?â Exclaimed Vil as his eyes widened. âYouâre telling me youâve never been massaged before?â
âI⌠No?â
âNo wonder you look so tense. Your body has never relaxed since your birth. Oh, believe me, Iâll reserve more appointments in the future. Your body and mind will thank me.â
You just stood there, feeling like a child getting scolded, until you heard your lover exhale and say more softly. âI just want you to feel relaxed and comfortable. Iâm truly saddened to hear no one advised you to let your body relax once in a while, but Iâm here now. Iâll make sure youâre feeling at your best every moment of the day. Itâs a promise.â He smiled at you and kissed your forehead.
And oh boy, was he right. You had fallen asleep in record time the moment the massage had begun. You felt like all the tension and stress accumulated from the years just left your body. As if it was waiting for such an opportunity to allow your mind to rest. You donât remember anything else from the massage, just the sweet dreams you had. Eventually, you felt a hand gently shaking you awake.
âMy dear, the massage is over. Oh my, you fell asleep.â You heard Vilâs chuckles following the sentence.
âMhm?â You exhaled, your mind still trying to get your eyes to open.
âFufu, it seems that I was right. You really needed this.â
âMaybe I didâŚâ You whispered as you sat up.
âYou absolutely did. Well, it wasnât so bad now, was it?â
You shook your head.
âThatâs what I thought.â He whispered as he caressed your hair.
About half an hour later, the two of you finally left the clinic. Your boyfriend encountered some difficulties to get you to wake up fully, but the promise of sweets managed to get your mind to get back to work. The sweet smell of fresh-out-of-the-oven pastries soon filled your nostrils as you got closer and closer to Bonbon Recette. As Vil opened the door and led you inside, the sight of colorful fruits soon graced your vision. From sparkling strawberries to mouth-watering melons, clearly the bakery had received a fresh batch of seasonal fruits and had put them to good use.
âIt seems that they also value the importance of elegance.â Said your lover as he inspected the pastries and the decoration set up for him. âAll those colorful sweets create a gorgeous setting. Not bad at all.â
âHappy birthday, Vil.â You exclaimed with a smile. âAnd thank you for today.â
âI should be the one thanking you. It was a lovely day. Iâm glad Iâve been able to relax, but Iâm also glad you were able to relax too.â He smiled at you. âYou deserved it after putting up with so much these last few months. If youâre feeling overwhelmed and tense in the future, come find me. Iâll clear my schedule, and weâll have a spa night.â
âI will.â
âGood. Though, donât you dare forget the steps of the skincare routine Iâve explained to you.â He said sternly.
âY-yes!â You stuttered.
He chuckled before adding. âJust kidding. Now, letâs taste those sweets. If we want a healthy body and mind, we have to eat all the nutrients we need.â
As you dug in and hummed in delight, Vil watched you with a smile. He will never admit it out loud, but seeing you smiling so brightly and shining just by being yourself, he couldnât help but think that you were more beautiful than him.

Maybe we are more alike than we thought - Ramshackle - Heartslabyul
He always believed that the two of you were different. But something you did made him question this statement. Maybe you shared more similarities than he thoughtâŚ
Savanaclaw and Octavinelle
Scarabia and Pomefiore
Ignihyde and Diasomnia
For Grim, it always has been how you never left him. Always next to him, talking with him, laughing with him, comforting him. Grim realized that he could lean on you. He wasnât all alone anymore. He will never admit it, but sometimes he wonders if he could have made it this far without you. Would he have been this brave, or are you the one who gave him courage? Would he have friends, or, thanks to you, did he open up and gain friends in the process? Finally, would he feel so warm, so loved, or are your presence, your kind words, and your smiles that warm him up from the inside? Grim doesnât know what he wants to be anymore. The greatest mage ever? A powerful king? A renowned doctor? A famous actor? He doesnât know, but heâs sure of one thing. He wants to stay at your side forever.
Riddle caught a glimpse of you and Grim baking together. Well⌠until Grim put sugar everywhere and made a mess of the kitchen. Riddle felt the anger rising inside of him and was about to step in with a typical âoff with your headâ when he heard you laugh. Instead of yelling, like he would have done, you just laughed while shaking your head. You didnât lecture Grim. You just asked him to call you if he needed help with anything. Then, the both of you cleaned up while telling each other jokes, the mistake long forgotten. Riddle thought about it and realized that yelling just established fear and mistrust. Grim wouldnât have come to you if you had always yelled at him. He would have tried to cover his mistake, maybe making it even worse. Riddle now understood the need to stay calm and put others at ease. This way trust and a better relationship could be established. Maybe he and his mother were wrong in the endâŚ
You were telling Ace how sometimes his teasing would bring you down. Trey, who had happened to hear the conversation, thought about this. You could have decided to laugh it off in front of Ace and keep everything inside, but you decided to speak out and confront him with your feelings. As he heard that, Ace apologized immediately, not knowing it was hurting you. That reminded Trey of his own struggle with Riddle. How he never said anything in fear of being yelled at or being collared. But itâs his silence that led to Riddleâs overblot, for which he feels partly responsible. If he had spoken up and shared with his childhood friend how he felt about his methods, would the overblot still have happened? Thatâs the question that still haunts Trey. Which is why heâs making sure it wonât happen again. He will speak up from now on.
You were walking among different stands when all of a sudden, you stopped, took out your phone, and snapped a picture. Cater caught the way you took your photo. No filters, no difficult framing, no focus. You had just taken a picture of something you liked: a wave, a flower, the sun, or a close-up of Grimâs face. That struck him. You were not taking pictures for others to like. You were taking them to remember what you liked at that time. You didnât care about trends, hashtags, or funny filters. None of this mattered to you. For that, you were opposites. He took pictures he didnât always love for others to like. While you took pictures for yourself to love. Seeing you like this, grinning at your imperfect photo and showing it to Grim proudly, made something switch inside him. Maybe, next time, he could try that too.
You were lecturing Grim about how he should look both ways before crossing the road after he had just escaped an accident. The look of worry was evident in your eyes as you hugged him tight and explained how dear he was to you and how you couldnât lose him. Ace would never admit it, but your reaction reminded him of himself. He, too, cares a lot about his friends and close ones. Always hiding his concern behind teasing remarks and jokes. Though, deep inside, he is just like you right now. He worries, sometimes too much. Seeing you address Grim so honestly, not hiding behind anything, made him think that he could maybe try to tell you his worries and fears. After all, he knows you will understand and support him no matter what.
Deuce saw you helping a young mother by holding some of the grocery bags. His first instinct was to walk up to you and ask you and the mother if you needed help. But he stopped dead in his tracks when he saw you chatting happily with her. You seemed to have an enjoyable conversation. That reminded him of himself whenever he helped his mother with the same bags. He, too, would chat about everything and nothing with his mother, at least until his delinquent phase began. Once he snapped out of it, he realized how he missed this moment with her. Seeing you chat with this young woman encouraged him to help his mother even more and to not let her down a second time.

A spoonful of sweetness - Sebek edition
What if discovering Sebekâs favorite spots in Foothill Town isnât just for the video Night Raven asked for but is also a way to celebrate your boyfriendâs birthday?
Spring was almost here. The breeze became gentler, the birds were finishing the final touchups to their nests, and the first flowers were blooming. How could you not take a walk outside when the weather welcomed you with open arms? Besides, you had plans for today. It wasnât every day that your boyfriend would take a break from his duties to hang out with you. So, you were making the most of it. It wasnât hard to find him; with his usual straight posture and his hands behind his back, you could almost think Malleus wasnât far, given how alert he looked. When you reached his side, you opened your mouth to greet him, but he beat you to it.
âTook you long enough, human!â He yelled.
âHello to you too, Sebek.â You responded calmly, not surprised by his outbursts anymore.
âHmph!â He exclaimed as he turned his head to the side.
âSoâŚâ You began innocently, noticing how his shoulders tensed up. âA little bird told me that you werenât very comfortable speaking in front of a camera?â
âWho?â He asked firmly.
âMalleus.â
âWaka-sama?! I am unworthy of being called his retainer! I should not have any weakness!â
âNow, now, Seby. Letâs calm down, alright?â
âSeby?! What is that nickname? Is that weird human from Octavinelle influencing you?!â
Well, at least you managed to change the subject of the conversation and avoid his whole âI am not worthy of being my liegeâs knightâ speech. Lucky you?
After some speed walking to the tailor shop, courtesy of Sebek saying that it was a good way to strengthen his endurance, you could finally catch your breath... Or so you thought. Sebek was already inspecting every rack, muttering about formal clothes and not bringing shame on his dorm. After his eyes scanned the whole room, he nodded and exclaimed.
âIt is a magnificent sight. There is quite a selection of formal clothes. The tailor has some good taste for a human!â
âYou keep talking about formal clothes. Is there something you like about them?â You asked.
âWhy, of course! Formal clothes are a must to wear to be worthy of standing next to my liege. I canât allow myself to look sloppy!â
âSo, I guess youâre looking for clothes of this kind then?â
âYes! And I already found the perfect piece!â He exclaimed, holding in his hands an elegant black jacket.
ââŚWhy not?â You said sheepishly.
âIs it not to your liking?â He inquired, his eyebrows furrowing.
âWell⌠I thought about⌠I donât know⌠Maybe this jacket?â You responded, avoiding his gaze, holding a dark red one in your hands.
âDark red?! Isnât it too flashy?! I donât want to stand out since Iâm supposed to showcase the shop Iâll be introducingâŚâ
You offered him your best puppy eyes. You saw how his gaze tried to avoid yours, and the moment he pressed his lips together, you knew you had won.
âI guess⌠The least I could do is⌠trying it onâŚâ He whispered as he took the jacket from your hands, still avoiding your eyes.
He turned mechanically in the direction of the changing rooms and left with long strides. A smile grazed your lips at his antics as you caught his reddening ears. This man was weak for you, and you both knew that.
The sound of a curtain opening caught your attention as your boyfriend entered the room in his new outfit. You patted yourself on the shoulder when you saw how red suited him so wonderfully.
âIt suits you.â You said with a smile.
âHmph!â He exclaimed, still avoiding your gaze. That made you chuckle as Sebek glared at you from the corner of his eye. âFor once, your advice is useful, human!â
âDid you style your hair down just for me?â You teased. To your defense, you couldnât help it. His reactions were too amusing.
âDonât get me wrong! If I styled my hair this way, itâs only to pay honor to the video. Nothing else!â
âOf course, of course.â You responded, not believing him for a second. âStill, I like it.â
âLetâs just get going.â He grumbled as he took your hand and led you outside.
You never went a lot in town with Sebek. Most of your dates would take place on campus, and half of them would be study dates in the library or in the quiet of Diasomniaâs lounge. So, it was a first to see him in public. To say you were surprised would be an understatement. You were expecting him to lead you in the crowd or act as your shield to protect your personal space. But it seemed that he preferred quieter parts of Foothill Town.
âThis town is always so noisy.â He grumbled. âI canât turn my head around how lively it can be at this time of the day.â
âWhat do you mean?â You asked, tilting your head in confusion.
âIn Briar Valley, most faes wake up at sunset. To that extent, only shops near humans's residences are open during the day.â He explained, puffing his chest.
âYou, too, live during the night then?â
All the way towards Sebekâs place of choice, you asked him tons of questions about the life in Briar Valley, which he answered every one of them with a proud smirk. Suddenly, he led you towards a smaller alley. You looked at him, confusion in your gaze, but he didnât falter and carried on towards the end of the alley. Once in front of a door, he pushed it open and held out his hand, signaling you to enter. You were expecting a lot of things, but definitely not a shoe store!
âWellâŚâ He said as his shoulders dropped. âSince my father is a dentist and⌠human. My family lived mainly during the day.â He whispered. âBut that didnât stop us from living during the night from time to time!â
âI never knew a shoe store was hidden here!â You exclaimed as you observed your surroundings. From sandals to sports shoes, a huge selection was waiting for you. And given the number of students browsing through the different sections, you guessed the majority of the school came here to find what to wear on their feet.
âHmph! As expected of a human, you never look further than what is right under your nose.â
âDo you come here often?â
âWhy, of course! As Malleus-samaâs retainer, I need to look proper in every aspect. From my hair to my shoes! But letâs not dwindle any further. We have a video to film!â
You nodded and took out your phone as Sebek muttered to himself a little speech a few times.
âAlright, Iâm ready to go. Whenever you want, Sebek.â
ââŚâ He breathed in and out and nodded at you. âYou can start the recording.â
You pressed the starting button and gave him a thumbs up.
âToday, I would like to present this amazing shoe store⌠No, letâs start over again.â
You nodded and signaled to him to begin once again.
âThis shoe store is a sight to behold⌠No, still not it.â
âThis shop is truly magnificent⌠Argh!â
âThe shoe selection is truly wonderful⌠Stop the recording. I need to think of a better speech!â He exclaimed.
âI thought you had prepared it.â
âOf course I did. I just want a video Iâm satisfied with. Itâs not at all because Iâm nervousâŚâ He mumbled the last part.
âAw, youâre shy. Youâre so cute, Seby!â
âThatâs enough, human! And I already asked you to stop with that nickname!â
After what felt like an eternity, Sebek finally managed to film his introduction without fumbling or asking you to delete all failed attempts (he couldnât risk Silver, Lilia, or, even worse, Malleus seeing him this pathetic). While he was drained after such a tedious task, you were full of energy. You just had the time of your life seeing your boyfriend, always so stoic and proud, panicking over a camera. But you werenât that evil. You decided to drag him outside the store and lead him towards a place you knew he would love: the bookshop. Whenever you came to visit him at his dorm, he would always be reading a book.
âI guess I should once again acknowledge your useful advice. Coming to the bookstore calmed me down instantly. Well done, human.â He murmured as you entered the shop.
The moment you stepped inside, you discovered a whole new side of your boyfriend. Silently browsing through the different sections, reading with interest the summaries. He had never looked this calm and relaxed. Normally, his shoulders would always be tense, and his movements were quick and sharp, ready to slay any threat menacing his liege. While in this calm bubble, he looked at peace. Even a faint smile grazed his lips. It was in those moments that you thought how lucky you were to have such a man by your side.
âWhat time is it?â He asked after what felt like a few minutes.
âItâs⌠Oh⌠Itâs past four in the afternoon.â You answered, surprised by your own words.
âAlready?! I should really set a time limit next time. I always stay here way too long and end up buying many books.â
âBut it was nice. I liked doing this. We should do that again sometime.â You said with a smile.
âI guess we couldâŚâ He responded with a shy smile.
The walk to Bonbon Recette had been calm. Your boyfriend had offered you his arm, which you gladly accepted, as the two of you enjoyed the view of the coastline. No words were exchanged; the sounds of your footsteps and the gentle breeze were saying enough. Once the bakery came into view, he opened the door for you and guided you towards the table set up for his birthday.
âOh! Itâs a strawberry cake! I guess strawberry season is officially open.â You exclaimed happily as the red gems shone in front of you.
âLetâs taste and see if theyâre already sweet enough.â
The both of you lifted your forks and plopped a piece of tart in your mouth. As soon as the pastry touched your taste buds, your eyes shone brighter than the stars.
âItâs delicious!â You both exclaimed at the same time.
You looked at each other in silence for a few seconds before you burst out laughing. After the both of you calmed down, Sebek looked at you and said.
âThank you. The film ended smoothly. I⌠appreciate itâŚâ He whispered the last part.
âHappy birthday, Sebek.â You whispered in return with a smile.
How would he explain his red ears to his liege or to Lilia? He couldnât let Silver see him in such a state. He needed to get a grip on himself! But⌠looking at you, he realized that those thoughts could wait.

A spoonful of sweetness - Azul edition
What if discovering Azulâs favorite spots in Foothill Town isnât just for the video Night Raven asked for but is also a way to celebrate your boyfriendâs birthday?
Winter was slowly retreating to give place to spring. The snow wasnât as thick as before; the first leaves and tiny flowers were growing. The wind had calmed down a little, though he didnât get any warmer. Still wrapped up in your scarf, you were walking towards the Hall of Mirrors, where your boyfriend had asked you to meet up with him. It was a special day after all. Well, yes, it was Azulâs birthday, but this wasnât what was so special about this day. He had taken the day off. When he first told the news, you thought he was joking. Azul? Taking a day off? That never happened. But it seems that even the impossible is possible, as you saw his silhouette waiting for you near the mirror leading to Octavinelle.
As he saw you approaching, your boyfriend offered you a little smile. âGood morning. Iâm looking forward to passing the day with you, my pearl.â
âGood morning to you too!â You responded happily. âIâm excited to see how the video turns out.â
âOf course, I share the same feeling. This is a rare opportunity, after all.â He said with his smile, which you knew meant nothing good.
âOpportunity for?â
âTo make my name and face known by everyone in town, of course!â He exclaimed as he began to chuckle, just like when he just indebted someone.
âRightâŚâ
âNow, to business! Letâs not waste any second of this precious day!â
The walk to the tailor shop had been pleasant. Azul had explained to you every piece of information he had managed to get his hands on about the tailor and his selection of clothes. You didnât get lost either since he had prepared the route days ago. And when you entered the shop, he made a beeline to the right section of the shop. Clearly, he had come prepared. Though, you didnât expect less from your perfectionist boyfriend.
âSo⌠do you have any preferences?â You asked as you looked at the various racks around you. You thought that your question was useless since Azul always knew what he was looking forâŚ
âIâm glad you asked this question!â He exclaimed happily as his eyes scanned every piece of clothing, surely to remember the brands for future projects he had in mind. âI like to present myself as intelligent and composed, though Iâm sure youâre already aware of this.â
You nodded. âI take it youâre planning to dress in this same style then?â
âWell, thatâs what I thought too at the beginning.â He said as he turned to look at you. âBut then, I asked myself, who is the target audience of this video?â
âThe students of NRC?â
âExactly! Which is why I need to adapt my style to theirs. This way, Iâm sure to be remembered and maybe gain some potential new clientsâŚâ He said with his usual up-to-no-good smirk. âSo, Iâm thinking of going with a more relaxed look.â
âI see⌠That makes sense.â
âIâm glad youâre sharing the same opinion as me. Now then, we should decide what clothes I should wear. Time is money after all.â
âSureâŚâ You said as your eyes went once more over the racks.
You were completely lost. What could your boyfriend possibly like? If you showed him clothes he didnât like, would he think that youâre wasting his time?
âMy pearl.â
You snapped out of your spiraling thoughts to see Azul standing a few steps in front of you. You offered him a sheepish smile, and he sighed.
âYouâre aware I can practically hear your thoughts from here, right?â He asked as he approached you.
âI⌠um⌠itâs nothing. Just thinking about other stuff, thatâs all. You shouldnât worry about me.â You said quickly, too quickly.
âMy pearl, you know that I donât consider you a waste of my time. I hope youâre aware of this.â He said softly as his blue eyes locked with yours. âBy all means, show me clothes you like, share with me your thoughts, and, most importantly, be yourself with me.â
âAzulâŚâ You whispered, surprised to hear him say this.
âI know, Iâm not the best person to talk about accepting themselves, but⌠When you lent me your hand and heart, I realized how good it felt to be able to be⌠well, me. Itâs only fair I offer you the same support you gave me. So, please, my pearl, donât doubt yourself this way.â He said softly as his hand found yours.
You nodded shyly and squeezed his hand, a silent signal to say youâll try your best. At your gesture, a sigh of relief escaped his lips as he smiled.
âDonât forget about that⌠ever.â He whispered.
After you both shared your insights on what clothes and combinations would look best on him, Azul had changed into his birthday outfit and had offered to head into town. All the way towards the place he wanted to introduce, you couldnât help but steal glances at his form at your side. The turtleneck, the necklaces, the jacket with its gold embroidery... Everything looked perfect on him. Though, if you were honest, his glasses were the best part. It seems that your not-so-discreet glances caught the attention of your boyfriend.
âMy, my. Do I look that dashing to get your attention solely on me?â He teased as a smirk took its place on his lips.
âAzul!â You exclaimed, feeling your cheeks getting warmer.
âWhat seems to be the problem? Iâm merely stating facts here.â
âItâs⌠ugh! Youâre infuriating!â
âAnd completely dashing, I know.â
âJust how many pairs of glasses do you even own?â You asked, trying to escape his teasing.
âWell, I have quite a collection.â He answered. Yes, your plan had worked! âI like to change them according to the situation. Since itâs a more relaxed task, I think these squared pairs fit perfectly.â
âThey look good on youâŚâ You said out loud without realizing. When the words registered, your hands immediately went over your mouth. You had just dug your own grave.
âMy, my. Iâm glad to hear that.â He answered with a teasing smirk.
As you hid your face in your hands, his chuckles amplified. You began to quickly walk to the plaza, attempting to leave his endless smirks behind. Soon enough, you felt his hand on your back as he whispered softly in your ear.
âThank you for saying such nice things about me, my pearl. That makes me happy.â
As a little smile took its place on your face, you felt a soft peck on your cheek. When you turned around to look at your boyfriend, it was his cheeks that were on fire this time. You couldnât help but chuckle at his expression.
âCease this, this instant! If I stopped teasing you, itâs only fair you stop teasing me too!â He exclaimed.
Once the both of you had signed a no-teasing contract for the day, you finally reached your destination. On the plaza of Foothill Town stood the little town hall. You were expecting something bigger and taller, but Azul had explained that there were not many residents on Sageâs Island, which meant fewer archives and offices needed. Your boyfriend then took out of his pocket a list and went through every aspect of the video: his script, the lighting methods, the best scenery to film. He kept surprising you. It seems that nothing could take him by surprise.
âAlright, I think that was all.â He said as he tucked his list in his pocket once more. âWell, Iâm ready to film the introduction. Whenever you want, my pearl.â
You nodded and started recording on your phone.
âIâm Azul Ashengrotto, serving as the dorm leader of Octavinelle dorm. I do hope youâll remember me.â He began as a spotlight illuminated his figure.
Just when did he install this? You hadnât seen him do that⌠Well, it wasnât surprising coming from him. It was common to see him under a spotlight whenever he organized a staff meeting for the Mostro Lounge, but still⌠Did he have a portable spotlight? Though, the answer to your question will forever remain unknown.
âWell, what do you think about my introduction?â His voice snapped you out of your trance once he had finished.
âIt was good. I think people definitely know who you are now⌠If they didnât know already.â
âPerfect, thatâs what I wanted to hear! I need to keep the business running after all. I canât allow myself to not help some poor, unfortunate souls in need.â He said with his usual smirk. âYou better not have recorded that.â He said, more sternly.
âI didnât.â
âGood. Now letâs head inside.â He said, all smiley once more.
The lobby was bustling as ever with life. Residents waiting their turn, others chatting with the employees at the different desks. But what caught your attention were the walls covered in bulletin boards. It seems that it was what Azul was expecting since he guided you to take a closer look at them.
âOh look! Thereâs a cat you can adopt!â You exclaimed as you pointed at a poster.
âIndeed. And thereâs a police report on this one.â Your boyfriend responded.
âWhat does a police report have to do on a bulletin board?â You asked, looking at him for an answer.
His smile grew as he began to explain. Clearly, you had asked what he had been waiting for. âWell, you see. Itâs a way for the police to communicate with the residents and build trust between them and the people of Sageâs Island.â He exclaimed proudly.
âI never thought this far!â Exclaimed a man behind you two. âItâs incredible to read into peopleâs emotions this way, young man!â
âIâm glad to have enlightened you, sir!â Exclaimed your boyfriend in return. âIf you wish to learn more, feel free to contact me. I will handle everything!â
âMy, what a wonderful, young man! Iâm glad to have met someone as benevolent as you! I will think about this!â Said the man as he left the lobby.
âThough I expect an appropriate compensation⌠of course.â Whispered Azul once the man had disappeared from view.
He, then, turned around to look at you, at which you rolled your eyes.
âI hope you recorded that just now.â He asked you, fear in his eyes.
âOf course, I did.â
A sigh of relief escaped his lips. âIâm glad. I have to include this moment in the video. Receiving such praise from a resident can only but bring me more clients. Oh, I canât wait.â He said as he rubbed his hands together.
You just rolled your eyes once more and chuckled at your boyfriendâs antics. You knew one or two persons that would soon be indebted to him.
âThough, donât worry, my pearl. You can ask me anything. Thereâs no compensation needed for you.â He whispered softly.
Once the two of you had finished visiting the town hall, it was time to head to Bonbon Recette. When you entered the building, Azulâs eyes immediately fell on the table set for him. You saw how his gaze grew concentrated as he examined the cutlery, the cups, the plates, as well as the setup. Then, out of nowhere, he took out his phone and snapped a few pictures of the table. When he turned back to look at you, he was met with a raised eyebrow.
âI never took you for the Magicam type of guy.â You said.
âItâs called market research.â He said matter-of-factly. âIf I can snatch the references of their products, I can go examine them further and maybe introduce them in the Lounge.â
âAzul.â You said sternly.
âWhat is it?â
âYou can never stop working, can you?â You asked with a smile.
âWell, you can call this working, but itâs essentially a hobby of mine.â
You just shook your head in amusement and said softly. âHappy birthday, Azul.â
âThank you kindly, my pearl.â
âSo⌠about taking the rest of the day offâŚâ You attempted.
âMaybe I could do that.â He smiled.
For once, Azul didnât feel like the little octopus that had to prove himself. For once, he felt like he could just⌠be himself. And that suited him.
When a young Silver discovers that he isnât blood-related to his father, Lilia, he runs away. Not believing to be worthy of his love. As the little boy gets lost in the forest, he makes an encounter that will help him realize that nothing will change his fatherâs love for him.
Because love is not always romantic. It can also be platonic. So today, letâs not forget about our loved ones' love too.
A young boy with silver strands was running into the woods. Neither the storm nor his father's voice could make him turn back towards his home. He ran deeper and deeper into the woods. His tears mixing with the water droplets. He never looked around him, keeping his eyes almost shut and his head low, just letting his feet carry him far away from his home. How could this be? He thought he was his father's true son. But no⌠theyâre different. Heâs just a human and the man he dared call father was a fae. They couldnât live together. No. It was impossible.
How could he have been so blind? Their ears are different. Their eyes are different. Their teeth are different. Heâs a human and his father a fae; they are different. Everything is different! How could his father have taken in such a person like him? How could he love him?
His thoughts stopped when the young boy felt pain. As his eyes finally opened and his vision adjusted to the blurriness, he realized he had fallen on the floor. His palms and knees covered in mud. The young boy curled up on himself and began crying once again. Night had fallen, the storm continued to roam, no hint of light could reach him. It was just the darkness, him and his little heart, who couldnât help but make him suffer. Why did he feel like he wasnât worthy of his fatherâs love? Why, little heart? Why had you decided to think that?
The young boy jolted when he felt a flicker of warmth creeping up his leg. His eyes opened wide, his hand going to his little sword⌠which wasnât there. Until his gaze fell upon two little rabbits cuddled against his leg, almost as if they could have sensed the young boyâs distress. It seemed that this act of kindness was welcomed by the boy who softly pet them.
She was wandering the woods as usual. Whenever she stepped on flowers and grass took on life once again. Blooming and growing. Her hands healed trees and animals with delicate attention. Her wings of golden light illuminated the surrounding area, transforming the cold and imposing forest to a place full of warmth. It seemed that even the storm raging outside calmed down whenever she stepped. Her presence calming the nature. Giving it time to breathe. No one had saw her before. Some called her a legend, others just the soul of nature. All they knew is that whenever she was near, even the most tired heart could heal.
A warm and soft light in the distance caught the attention of the young boy, still crying on the floor with the bunnies around him. His first instinct was to run away, but seeing that the rabbits neither moved nor looked frightened, he decided to stay. From whom was this light coming? Why did he feel calmer and warmer? A silhouette basked in gold appeared from behind a tree. The young boy tensed up and curled more on himself. He expected it to turn around and look at him, but it never did. Its presence just healed nearby flowers and trees. No threats, just light and warmth. When he caught a glimpse of the golden wings resting behind its back, his eyes widened. She was the forest fairy guardian his father had told him about! It seemed that the woman had been waiting for him to recognize her before turning around and looking at him. She offered him a smile and asked him a question in a voice as calm as the breeze in spring.
âGreetings. What is your name, little one?â
âSil-â The young boy began before he abruptly stopped himself. No. He couldnât use that name anymore. His father had given it to him, but how could he use it since he wasnât his fatherâs true son? His eyes became glossy once again at the thought. And the tears began to fall once again.
The fairy didnât push the young boy. Instead, she stayed silent and invoked fireflies that danced around them. The forest didnât look as cold and lonely as before. No. It looked calm and at peace. It seemed that the storm had calmed down. The rain had stopped; the trees werenât shaking anymore. The birds were chirping and bringing the little boy berries. The bunnies also cuddled more closely to his little body. And suddenly, the world didnât feel as heavy as before.
A rabbit, snuggling even closer seeking warmth and comfort, hit a ticklish spot that made the boy chuckle as he hugged it closer to him. This time, his smile stayed on, and his eyes looked calmer. As if the storm in his heart had calmed down too. He looked up and saw the fairy still near. Her presence not imposing. She was just⌠existing.
âThank you, Miss Fairy. And⌠Iâm Sil⌠Iâm Silver.â Said the boy as he rubbed the last tears away.
âYou are most welcome, Silver. It seems that the storm in your heart has passed.â She responded with a smile.
âThe storm in⌠my heart?â He asked with curiosity.
âIndeed. You decided to embrace the name your father gave you.â She answered calmly.
âHow did you know it was my father who named me?â
She just smiled in response and said. âFairies like me have special powers. I think you already saw some of them in action.â
The young boy nodded in response, thinking about the flowers and trees healed or the way the bunnies werenât afraid of her. âYou are this forestâs soul. You can hear everything happening in the forest. Thatâs why you know that, Miss Fairy.â
âIndeed. It seems that your father told you a lot about us, guardians.â She responded as she gestured towards the fireflies. âCome, the fireflies will lead you towards what your heart desires.â
Silver tilted his head in confusion until he realized that the fireflies were forming a path for them to follow. Illuminating the way in a golden light, similar to the one of her wings. As the fairy began to walk, he ran up to her, not wanting to get lost again, and fell in step beside her. As the large and imposing conifers slowly transformed into glades and bushes, he stayed silent and continued to follow the fireflies until she spoke once again.
âLove isnât always found in blood.â She said softly. âYour father, Lilia, loves you as his own. He would do everything for you.â
âB-but we are so differentâŚâ Whispered Silver.
âI donât think itâs the case. The both of you are kind, patient, loving, attentive.â She listed as if it was the most obvious thing to see.
The young boyâs eyes widened in shock. He and his father alike? Even if he is a human and he is a fae? Even if their ears are different? Even if their eyes are different? Even if heâs kind and loving and heâs⌠Wait, heâs also kind and loving. And heâs patient and ⌠So is he. And heâs doing everything for his happiness and⌠He does the same for his fatherâs. Maybe the fairy was right⌠Maybe heâs worthy of his fatherâs loveâŚ
âLilia must be worried right now, looking everywhere for youâŚâ
His eyes widened once more. He just wanted his father to be happy, not worried.
âThe forest is always happy around your cottage.â She continued as if she was not sensing the swirl of thoughts going through his little head. âThere are always laughs and wonderful memories forged every day⌠Like a true family.â
âHow do you know about us? How can you be so sure that we are⌠happy?â Asked the young boy.
âI am this forestâs soul. I can feel whenever the forest is calm or angry, happy or sad. I can tell you that around your cottage, itâs always warm and happy.â She slowed down her steps and turned back to look at him with a smile. âLilia cherishes you very much, Silver. It doesnât matter to him if youâre blood-related or not. Since he accepted you and loved you as his own since the day he found you.â
The little boy was about to respond when they arrived in a familiar glade. His eyes widened when he recognized the gentle stream and water wheel, the large tree and the thatched roof. But most importantly, the sight of his father drenched, surely after searching for him all night long in the storm, sitting on the porch, his head low. Silver just felt his heart be engulfed in warmth and love as new tears formed in his eyes, this time not in sadness and despair but rather in happiness and relief. He bolted across the glade, running straight to his fatherâs arms as he yelled. âFather! Father!â
Lilia perked up at the sound of his sonâs voice and growing footsteps. When he saw his son, his Silver, safe and sound, running towards him, he opened his arms and engulfed him in his arms. Their little family was finally reunited in a show of tears and smiles. Lilia began to tickle the boy in his arms as Silver giggled.
âYou have no idea how worried I was!â Exclaimed Lilia as he kissed his sonâs forehead. âI know humans grow quickly, but Iâm not ready to have you move out yet.â
âIâm sorry, Father! Iâm so sorry!â Cried out the little boy as he hugged his father tighter. âNo matter what, youâre still my father. You will always be. I love you.â
âI love you too, Silver. Blood-related or not, you will always be my wonderful son, and nothing will make me think otherwise.â Whispered Lilia.
The father and son stayed like this for a long moment. Just embracing each other as the first rays of sunlight began to peer through the trees. They now knew that what they have is stronger than any storm that may occur. As long as they had each other, everything was surmountable.
The forest guardian stayed at the edge of the glade, softly smiling at the sight in front of her: a reunion and the creation of a bond stronger than blood. The forest was happy once more; she could feel it.
As Silver fell asleep in his fatherâs arms, Lilia picked him up and headed back inside the cottage. As he was about to enter, he looked back and saw the fairy at the edge of the glade. Words didnât need to be exchanged. Lilia knew it was her who helped his son come back to him safe and sound. He knew it was her that allowed them to leave this storm behind them. So, Lilia just smiled at the guardian and mouthed a thank-you.
As the front door of the cottage closed, the fairy didnât miss the acorn bracelet hanging around Liliaâs wrist. A bracelet made with love from the little one he never ceased to call his son.
JP spoilers for the card serie âLa Bonbonnièreâ - Cater edition
A spoonful of sweetness â Cater edition
What if discovering Caterâs favorite spots in Foothill Town isnât just for the video Night Raven asked for but is also a way to celebrate your boyfriendâs birthday?
Illuminations, snowy sceneries, hot beverages, and selfies had invaded Caterâs Magicam. Winter had always been a picture-worthy season, according to him. He hated staying cooped up in his or your room during the cold times since so many picture-worthy moments were just waiting to be captured behind the door. As you heard a knock, you knew that your boyfriend would take you out once again. Your phone went to your pocket as you put on your jacket and headed to the entrance. As you opened it, your boyfriendâs smile greeted you.
âHey! Youâre looking totes absorb! As always!â Cater said with his usual grin and wink. As your cheeks reddened under his compliment, he chuckled. âIâm happy to see that my compliments still work after so many months.â
âSoâŚâ You began, attempting to get his attention on something else than your red cheeks. âWhere are you planning to go?â
âWell, Iâm planning to go toâŚâ He began, purposely letting the suspense expand. Then, he chuckled once more as he saw your face radiating of curiosity. âAs if I would spoil the surprise. Youâll see once we get to town!â
âYouâre no fun.â You pouted.
âHaha. Youâll still be my assistant; isnât that great news? Helping me choose an outfit, filming a video. Oh, I canât wait to see how itâll turn out!â
âItâs true that this project is right up your alley. Lucky you.â
âFor sure! If you have any questions about picture-worthy spots or photography techniques, feel free to ask Cay-kun!â He exclaimed as he winked.
The walk to the tailor shop had been longer than what you had anticipated. Cater had stopped at almost every step to take a picture to post on his Magicam. All you remember is hearing some âSo maggicable!â or âItâs super cute!â After what felt like hours, the tailor shop came into view, but not without a selfie taken in front of the building.
âWoawâŚâ Exclaimed Cater in awe as he entered the storage room. âThere are so many cute clothes here!â
You didnât have time to blink before you saw him going from one corner of the room to the other, snapping pictures of the various racks of clothes, all giddily.
âSoâŚâ You began as he seemed to have finished taking his photos. âDo you have preferences in terms of clothes? That could help us decide your outfit for today.â
âWell, I donât really have specific preferences. As long as it suits me, itâs good. Though, I get more likes when I incorporate the current trends and maintain my casual and effortless look. That makes me think, I always run into Acey whenever I go to a clothes shop. Well, I canât blame him! Casual and effortless are top-tier choices!â He exclaimed as his eyes scanned every rack.
âCasual and effortlessâŚâ You pondered.
âAh! Like this, for example!â He exclaimed as he held in his hands a formal jacket and a hoodie. âThat combination is fire! Alright, itâs decided! Iâll go with this look today.â
âThen, what aboutâŚâ You began as you looked at the various jackets on the racks. âThis simple one or the one with the pattern?â You asked as you held two jackets in front of him.
âWhich one would suit me better?â He asked as he winked at you.
âWell, the simple one will give you a more mature lookâŚâ You admitted.
âI get it.â He responded as he smirked at you. âYou like to see a more mature Cay-Cay once in a while⌠We can work with that.â He said as he headed towards the changing room with his smirk still plastered on his face.
You took this moment of peace to get a grip on yourself and calm your reddening cheeks. It was really infuriating. It was almost as if he could read your mind and know exactly what to say to make you blush. Or maybe you just couldnât hide your affection for him, and your face said it all. Who knows? Either way, he will never tell you which one it is.
The sound of the curtain opening broke you from your thoughts as your boyfriend emerged from the changing room in his brand-new outfit. For a moment, you didnât recognize him. It wasnât often that Cater would wear dark colors without a hint of playful color. Or that he would tie his hair in anything other than his usual pompadour. You were left speechless.
âI think we chose pretty well!â He exclaimed, amused by your silence. âAs expected of you, you know what youâre talking about! We should head into town now. But firstâŚâ He took out his phone, posed, and took a selfie of himself.
The cold wind greeted you first thing when you exited the shop. As you hid your face in your scarf, Cater seemed to not mind it at all. He was holding your hand and dragged you to the left to snap a picture of a retro cafĂŠ sign, then to the right to photograph a tree covered in snow, and when you were back on the sidewalk, he would take a selfie with you. Though he wonât post it on Magicam and will just keep it as a souvenir of today.
âYou knowâŚâ He began, quietly, as he calmed down and just walked with you. âIâve always thought that this island had no place to hang out. Itâs true. No big brand shops, no mall, just local shops or the market.â
You caught his finger going to his gallery on his phone. He opened a file with pictures of more warm and neutral colors than the usual pop colors he likes to post. A little smile took its place on his lips, though it wasnât the one for Magicam. No. It was the one you caught a glimpse of when you had Cater and not Cay-Cay in front of you.
âMaybe I began to see a new side of the town since Iâve been living here for three years now⌠Maybe thatâs what others call being a local⌠Enjoying what people passing by would never see.â He continued as his hand tightened unconsciously around yours.
âTell me your favorite place next time. There might be hidden gems. Weâll go there together, just us. No Magicam, promise.â He softly said as he put his forehead against yours and kissed it gently.
You were walking hand in hand when suddenly the smell of hot cocoa and coffee hit your nose. You turned your head to look at Cater as his head did the same thing. You looked at each other in silence and then burst out laughing from your reaction.
âSeems like the smell got us both.â He commented, chuckling.
âWe are just suckers for coffee shop dates, arenât we?â
âItâs just totes cute!â He exclaimed as he dragged you near the cafĂŠâs entrance.
âDidnât we come here before? It seems really familiarâŚâ you pondered as you managed to catch a glimpse at the shopâs interior.
âOh, oh, I didnât think you would remember this one compared to the more grandiose ones we visited. But, yes, we came here before.â He explained. âItâs also the place I want to introduce for my video.â
âYou got the permission to film? Itâs a pretty local cafĂŠ after all; maybe they donât want too many touristsâŚâ You asked, tilting your head.
âYup, I did!â He exclaimed with a proud grin. âActually, I got it when we visited it last time.â
âWhen we visited itâŚâ You repeated aloud. âWhen did you⌠Oh, when you went to the counter to pay. I knew you were taking way too long to pay! Thatâs what you were doing! You're sneaky.â
He just flashed you a grin as he gestured towards the door. âShould we head inside to get ourselves warmed up with a warm drink?â
The cafĂŠ was just how you remembered it. The locals were drinking their tea or coffee. Some were talking to each other as others were reading a book. The atmosphere was just incomparable. The plush couch serving as chairs, the counter where the owner was preparing the beverages under the customersâ eyes. Everything added together created this cozy universe, unknown to anyone besides the locals.
âWe should begin to prepare the materials to film the video.â Explained your boyfriend, as he set his tripod and adjusted his ring light.
âJust when did you set this up?â You questioned, surprised.
âWhen you were distracted, admiring the interior, sweetheart.â He sing-songed, winking at you.
âI⌠I wasnât distracted in the first place.â You pouted.
âAlright, that should be it.â Mumbled Cater to himself as he checked everything. âBy the way, before filming, could I ask you to help me decide which angle is the best to capture the drinks?â
âWhen did you get the drinksâŚâ you began, but as you saw his grin widening once more, you changed your phrasing. âNever mind, I know the answer.â He chuckled at you dropping the subject. âThough⌠why should we take pictures of the drinks? Isnât the project a video?â
âYup, itâs a video, but taking a picture of the drinks would help me promote the video on Magicam with something like #localcafĂŠ or #Cay-kunsfavorites. Something in that range!â He exclaimed.
âI see, thatâs a good idea.â
âIsnât it?! Iâm super excited to post them!â
As Cater was finishing setting everything up, from the lighting to the camera, you took some pictures of the warm drinks from different angles, trying to find the best one. You couldnât let him down, not after the important task he assigned to you. His Magicam was depending on these! Or maybe you were just letting his excitement get the better of you.
âHere, I took the photos.â You approached him with your gallery open for him to see.
âWoah!â He exclaimed all of a sudden, startling you in the process. âYou caught the steam perfectly. The lighting is great, and the composition is totes absorb!â
âIâm happy they satisfy you.â
âSatisfy me? Theyâre perfect! Youâre, like, the best assistant ever!â
âIâm glad to hear it. I suppose whatâs left now is the filming?â You asked.
âYup! And I know just what to say to promote this place. Just you wait.â He explained as he winked at you.
You nodded and went to take your place behind the camera. You adjusted the angle and brightness to try to capture the cafĂŠâs atmosphere and your boyfriendâs beauty. Yes, Cater was more beautiful than Vil in your eyes. Sorry, not sorry, heâs your boyfriend after all. When everything was ready, you nodded at him, and he began his speech.
âHey! So, Iâm here to introduce this hidden gem. This cafĂŠ is the perfect place to come to when youâre in the mood to relax. The sofa is so comfy that youâll stay longer than you planned to, youâll see! Then, the drinks. Oh, the drinks! My favorite so far is this spicy hot ginger tea to warm you up. Itâs just perfect for the season!â
When Cater stopped talking, you ended the recording and smiled at him.
âIt was incredible, Cater!â You exclaimed. âIâm sure the cafĂŠ will get more customers thanks to your video!â
âOh, my. A compliment! Stop it, youâll make me blush! Just kidding! Iâm glad you think so! Could I see the video?â He asked as he peered at the cameraâs screen over your shoulder.
You nodded and played the video. When it ended, Cater was unusually silent.
âCater, is something the matter?â You asked, worried. He was never silent in public; you knew it. He didnât like to drop his mask.
âWoahâŚâ He murmured so low, you almost didnât catch it.
âWoah?â You repeated, perplexed.
âThis angle makes me look twice as attractive!â He suddenly exclaimed, all smiles. âI thought I knew my best angles, but it seems I was wrong. My eyelashes look so long⌠Good job, cutie! Iâm lucky to have such a dedicated fan!â He whispered the last part as he softly kissed your cheek as thanks.
When you completed the filming, the both of you took your sweet time and savored your beverages, warming you up from the inside. You discussed everything and nothing until it was time to head to the bakery and discover what chocolates the staff had prepared for your boyfriend.
âItâs totes absorb!â Cater exclaimed as he entered Bonbon Recette and caught a glimpse of the table full of sweets and pastries set up for him. He quickly snapped a few pictures and posted them before looking back at you with a sheepish smile. âYouâll eat the sweets in my place, right?â
âOf course I will. Donât worry about that.â You reassured him as his shoulders slouched in relief. âI wouldnât make my boyfriend eat what he hates most on his birthday.â
âAnd Iâm lucky to have you. Very lucky.â He murmured with a smile.
You smiled back at him and took one chocolate from the selection offered. As you put it in your mouth, bitterness and tartness engulfed all your senses.
Cater, seeing your eyes widening, began to ask. âDid you likeâŚâ
âCater, you need to taste them.â You blurted out.
âButâŚâ
âYou barely taste the sweetness. I promise you.â
Your boyfriend believed you and plopped one in his mouth. As his eyes closed, ready to be told it was all a prank, his eyes opened right away as the bitterness reached his taste buds. âYouâre⌠right. Woah!â He exclaimed, taking another one. âI could eat them non-stop! The cacao is super bitter! I love it!â
The both of you ate the whole plate of chocolates with eagerness in mere minutes. It was just too good.
âHappy birthday, Cater.â You murmured as you looked at him, savoring a sweet for once in his life.
âThank you!â He responded with a huge smile. âIt was totally fun to spend my birthday with you! Iâm sure this year is going to be a happy one!â
He approached you and put his arm around your shoulders as he held his phone in front of you. He quickly kissed your cheek. Though some chocolate scrubs were around your lips and the lighting wasnât that great, it was a picture worth cherishing.
#iloveyou #imluckytohaveyou and posted⌠Of course not, he will never post this one. It was for his eyes only.

A spoonful of sweetness - Malleus edition
What if discovering Malleusâ favorite spots in Foothill Town isnât just for the video Night Raven asked for but is also a way to celebrate your boyfriendâs birthday?
It was cold outside. The snow covered pathways and roofs, giving Night Raven College an enchanting look. You had taken your scarf and gloves out before heading out to find your boyfriend. You didnât have to look very far since you spotted his form observing the gargoyles perched on Ramshackle's roof. It seems that he felt your presence. He turned around and offered you a little smile.
âGreetings, child of man.â
âGood morning to you too, Tsunotarou.â You responded with a smile of your own.
âAlways sticking to that nickname, I see.â He chuckled. âYou truly have no fear.â
âYou were observing the gargoyles, I suppose?â You asked, raising your head to look at the statues on your roof.
âIndeed,â He said, also raising his head to look at them. âGargoyle viewing has a special charm in winter. Seeing them covered in snow makes them atmospheric⌠as much as I would like to continue to gaze at them, we have other matters at hand.â
âYouâre right. We should head into town already.â
âI shall leave the video recording to you then.â He said with a smile. âThe people of Foothill Town have extended an invitation to me. I cannot refuse.â He said sternly. Seems like he was taking this video project to heart.
âIâm sure youâll do well, Tsunotarou.â
âI share the same sentiment⌠Iâve done thorough research after all.â He exclaimed with a proud expression.
âWhat can you even research?â You thought to yourself. âIâm sure it will come in handy.â You decided to respond with a little smile.
Malleus had insisted on teleporting you directly inside the tailor shop. After some points were exchanged, you decided to go by foot. You preferred it that way; who knows if you wonât feel sick after being transported? Besides, you had told him that if he wanted to get to learn about humans, he had to act like one. Which means going by foot and admiring the scenery at the same time. When you finally entered the shop, your noses and cheeks were red from the cold, but the warmth of the shop quickly made you forget the temperature.
âI was told that wearing a jacket and a t-shirt would suffice to go into town.â Your boyfriend explained.
You looked at him with a curious expression. Had the Malleus Draconia already worn a t-shirt? That seemed very surprising.
âWhat is that surprised expression?â He asked, raising his eyebrows. âYes, Iâve worn a t-shirt before.â
âItâs Lilia for sure who made him wear one.â You thought to yourself.
âLilia bought them as souvenirs from his travels.â He further explained.
âBingo!â You said in your head. âDo you like wearing them?â You asked, curiosity getting the better of you.
âItâs quite convenient but, according to the Diasomnia students, itâs quite a spectacular sight to see me dressed so casually. Now, Iâm wondering what you think would fit me since itâs so unusual for you?â He asked with a smirk.
âI would see you in a jacket in cool colors. LikeâŚâ You said as you eyed the different racks. âThis one!â You exclaimed, holding in your hands a dark brown jacket.
âLetâs try it on then.â He said as he took the jacket from your hands.
After a few moments, Malleus emerged from the changing room in his new outfit. He posed with his hands on his hips and looked at you with a smirk.
âWell, how do I look?â
Your mind stopped working. It looked wonderful on him. From the jacket and turtleneck to his bangs being combed and braided to the side. He is already a prince, but, right now, he looked straight out of one of your fantasy novels. His laugh made you come back to reality.
âFufu, I am glad to see such a positive reaction from you.â He said with a smile. âI must say that I was a little perplexed at your advice to add a chocolate brooch. I thought it would be cute and not go well with the outfit. I was proven wrong. It completes very well the look. Thank you, child of man.â
He extended his hand to you and asked. âShould we head into town?â
You nodded and took his hand in yours. You started walking when he bent down and told you. âSee? I listened to what you told me about humansâ relationships.â
You chuckled and then looked at your interlinked hands. âYouâre a fast learner, Mal.â
He smiled proudly and headed out of the shop. His arm unconsciously rocking your hands.
Once in town, you couldnât help but stare at Malleus every once in a while. It was so unusual for you to go out like this. Normally, you would go gargoyle viewing or talk in the Ramshackle lounge. Now that you think about it, you could count on one hand the number of times you and he went into town together.
âYouâre staring intently. Is it so unusual for you to see me walk in town?â He asked.
âWellâŚâ You didnât finish your sentence and just nodded with a sheepish smile.
âI do visit it once in a while to learn about human civilization.â He explained. âThough, now that I think about it, Lilia is often the one who brings me with him.â
âWhat do you usually do with him?â You asked, wondering what genius ideas Lilia had.
âOnce, we went to a bakery to try a popular bread among students. We waited a few hours in line to get one. Others began to recognize who I am and began to offer to give it to me.â A smirk and a proud expression took their place on his face as he exclaimed. âFufu, I stayed in line. I do possess common knowledge about everyday life, after all. Cutting line is prohibited.â He stated.
âMalleus is very proud of himself for knowing such a mundane thing.â You thought to yourself. But if your dragon is happy, then so are you. âThatâs great, Malleus! Youâll know everything in no time!â You exclaimed, deciding to encourage him.
âThank you for your kind words, child of man.â He said with a smile.
âBy the way, where are we going?â You asked.
âTo the game center.â He said matter-of-factly. âLilia told me that itâs a fitting place for young people.â
Your mind didnât register the second part of his sentence. Had you heard him right? The game center? You had expected to visit some ruins full of gargoyles or an old library. Not the game center.
âDonât worry, I researched the subject thoroughly.â He said after your silence.
You just nodded, not knowing if that should calm you down or scare you.
After some more walking, you arrived at the game center, full of neon signs and bright colors. Lots of students were gathered around different games and machines, laughing, cheering, and talking. Seeing Malleus in such a place was a rare sight. His eyes were wandering from machine to machine, looking at the bright screens with lots of colorful advertising.
âWe should start filming.â He said after a moment, turning around to face you.
You nodded and took out your phone. Once you were ready, you gave him another nod.
âThis is the game center. Itâs quite⌠noisy.â He said with a light frown.
âMalleus.â You chuckled softly as his eyes locked on yours. âWeâre filming. As much as I love to hear your honest thoughts, weâre still supposed to promote this place.â
âThatâs right, my apologies.â He exclaimed as he cleared his throat. âIt is a lively place full of machines I have never seenâŚâ
After you finished filming the introduction, you made your way into the room. Malleus eyed once again the machines with a frown on his face.
âAre you⌠looking for something?â You asked him.
âIndeed. I have read that âcrane gamesâ are recommended for beginners in the matter. However⌠I am wondering which one is a âcrane gameâ. They look all the same to meâŚâ
âCrane games are those that have a claw and lots of prizes. Every machine is a crane game in this room.â You explained.
âIs it?â He questioned, widening his eyes and looking once again all over the room.
âYes. You choose your machine based on the prize you want.â
âIt seems that I didnât research this subject enough. I am glad to have you here. Your knowledge is precious.â He said with a little smile. âNow then, I think Iâll aim for this dragon plushie.â He exclaimed as he made his way towards a machine with an excited gleam in his eyes.
He observed the machine in silence for a moment until a little âahâ escaped his lips as he put the money inside the game. Bright lights lit up, and a little music began as soon as his three turns began.
âNow⌠How do I operate this claw thing?â He asked, more to himself than you. âThose glowing arrows, perhaps?â He said as he pushed on the buttons.
The claw began to move, but soon a creaking sound could be heard.
âMalleus!â You exclaimed. âRelax your strength or the machine will break.â
âAh!â He exclaimed in surprise, retracting his hand as if he had been burned. âMy apologies.â He said, embarrassed.
âItâs alright, Tsunotarou.â You said with a smile, attempting to calm him down.
âUnderstood. Relax your strength, relax your strength.â He murmured to himself as he tried to push on the buttons once again.
This time, the claw moved but without creaking. You both breathed out in relief. As your dragon positioned the claw above the plushie, a concentrated expression took its place on his face.
âIâll have it. Iâm sure.â He assured as he let go of the button.
âYou can do it!â You cheered.
The claw gripped the plush head, and⌠it fell back in its previous position.
âI gripped the head, and it wonât lift. This machine is broken!â Exclaimed your boyfriend, pouting. âLetâs try again! I canât allow myself to retreat here!â
After strategizing the perfect plan to get this dragon plushie, Malleus tried once again. And again⌠and again. The both of you were glued to the machineâs window, eyes staring at the claw and plush. Until, he finally managed to get the plushie to fall. A winning sound reached your ears as your boyfriend hurried to free his little dragon from the machine. He took it in his hands as he gazed at it with a proud expression.
âWhat a sense of accomplishment and⌠exhaustion.â He breathed out. âThe game center is not to be underestimated. I understand now why students gather here.â
âIn the end, you managed to get your plush. Itâs quite cute too. Its face is adorable.â You exclaimed as you watched the little dragon in your boyfriendâs hands.
âIt is, indeed.â He said with a smile of his own, proud of himself.
You decided to not challenge further machines, too worn out from getting the dragon plush. You both thought it would be a good idea to head to Bonbon Recette to try the sweets they prepared for your boyfriendâs birthday. As you entered the bakery, all the noise from the game center and the town disappeared, leaving only a calm atmosphere accompanied by the scent of warm pastries.
âItâs calm in here. Nothing like the game center.â Said Malleus as he seemed to relax. âI am really not used to such noise.â
âCongratulations on getting the plushie.â You said, looking at the plush firmly tucked under his arm.
âThank you, child of man.â
As you were about to respond, the baker emerged from the kitchen and put on the table the chocolates made for Malleus. You both looked at the chocolates, then at each other with the same excited gleam in your eyes. You took your place at the table (not without forgetting to put the plush on a chair of its own) and tasted the chocolates. Both of your eyes widened in delight.
âItâs delicious!â You exclaimed.
âIt seems to have fruit juice inside. Itâs a well-balanced flavor between sweetness and tartness.â He stated.
âHappy birthday, Tsunotarou.â You said softly.
âI am grateful for your presence by my side. I spend a meaningful time and took on a new challenge.â He said with a smile.
You both looked at each other in silence, just basking in each other's presence as you ate the chocolates to your heartsâ content.
âSpeaking of challengesâŚâ Began Malleus.
You tilted your head. âYes?â
âI will have to edit the introduction video. Could you show me the footage?â He asked.
âI already sent it to your phone.â You explained.

A spoonful of sweetness - Lilia edition
What if discovering Liliaâs favorite spots in Foothill Town isnât just for the video Night Raven asked for but is also a way to celebrate your boyfriendâs birthday?
What a perfect day to start the new year. The sun was shining and warming up the cold hands. The sky was of pure blue with no clouds in sight. And you were walking hand in hand with the birthday boy towards Foothill Town. Lilia wanted to show you his favorite place in town for the video, of course, but also to pass some time with you. Even though the two of you didnât get much sleep with the New Year party you had organized with his family, you were happy to pass some quality time together.
âWeâll have to find the perfect coordination to bring out my charms.â Said your boyfriend with his signature smirk. âThough, Iâm sure that with you as my assistant, itâs guaranteed to be fun.â He exclaimed with a happy smile on his lips.
âIâm sure it will. Even though any style suits you.â You responded with a smile of your own.
âOh? Was this a hidden compliment?â He teased with his smirk back on.
âWhat if it was?â You asked with a smirk of your own.
âThen, I canât wait to see what clothes youâll pick for me.â He exclaimed happily, picking up the pace towards the town.
Once you arrived at the tailor shop, both of your eyes widened at the sight of the dozens and dozens of clothes racks. From frills and glitter to leather and suede. Every combination was possible. You just needed imagination. Though, with your boyfriend, it is not imagination that lacked.
âOh!â He said as he flicked through the racks. âSuch stylish clothes. There are so many to choose from⌠I canât decide which one I want to go withâŚâ
You opened your mouth to point out an outfit to him, but he cut you off. âThough, everything will suit me. I am the renowned fashionista whose fame echoes throughout the whole neighborhood!â He exclaimed with his hands on his hips. âEven if my home is a single one in the middle of the forest.â
You couldnât help but laugh at his glorious self-given title. He looked back at you and caught your amused expression. He quickly joined you in a fit of chuckles.
âSuch a renowned fashionista that every squirrel and bird turns their heads when they see you arrive?â You teased between two laughs.
âYou would be surprised.â He teased back. âSilver would always widen his eyes in awe as he saw me try another style.â
âAre we sure it was in awe and not in surprise, wondering what went through your head again?â You asked.
âItâs called fashion, beastie. Here, Iâll show you how itâs done.â He said as he bolted towards multiple racks.
Your eyes tried to follow his movements, but all you saw was a shadow going from clothes to clothes. While your ears caught some murmurs. âMaybe this and this? No, itâs not cute enough. Then⌠Oh, what is this?â
You waited for a few minutes until your boyfriend came to a halt in front of you, holding two outfits in his hands with a proud grin.
âLook at these, and donât tell me they aren't fashionable. First, we have this shirt with frills. It is a cute design and would suit me well since Iâm oh so cute!â He began, excited to show you what he had found.
âYou are always cute.â You responded with a smile.
âIsnât it? Iâm the cutest guy around.â He smiled proudly. âBut!â He said with a serious face. âThis chic shirt brings out my mature charm⌠Itâs not every day that you see me like this. Which one will it be? Cute or mature?â He asked with a smirk while wiggling his eyebrows.
âI see you in cute clothes all the time. Mature, though⌠Itâs quite a rare sight. Besides, itâs your birthday, so mature look.â You said with a smile, trying to hide your reddening cheeks.
âMature to show off my hidden charms⌠Very well.â He said with a smirk and a wink, heading towards the changing room.
You sat on the plush couch while waiting for your boyfriend to come out. This whole mature style was really picking your interest. It was rare, if not impossible, to see him in such a look.
âTada!â You heard as Lilia came out of the changing room. âWhat do you think?â He asked as he twirled like a model to show off his look.
When your eyes caught the oversized jacket draped on his shoulders, the tie wrapped elegantly around his neck, and his hair put behind his ear. You stopped breathing for a moment while you felt your cheeks reddening once again. His laugh brought you back to your senses. You immediately hid your face in your hands.
âJudging by your reaction, I made the right choice.â He chuckled as you gave him a thumbs-up, still hidden behind your hands.
The two of you were now walking hand in hand towards Foothill Townâs plaza. Every time someone looked your way, Lilia would elbow you and wiggle his eyebrows, telling you about his outfit stealing everyoneâs gaze. You just rolled your eyes and smiled, amused by his shenanigans. Though, even if the sun was out, the wind was still present, and being near the harbor only intensified it. Luckily, his hand was warm and kept yours tucked away from the cold. After a few moments, your boyfriend suddenly stopped and looked at you.
âThe tip of your nose is red⌠Are you perhaps cold?â He asked, with a sparkle of worry in his eyes.
âA little bit, but I should be fineâŚâ Just as you pronounced the last word, a gust of cold wind made you shudder.
âI donât want you to get sick on me now. Here.â He said as he draped his jacket on your shoulders to shield you from the cold.
âBut-â You began, not wanting for him to get cold too.
âNo buts. Weâll pick up the pace to warm ourselves up. Now, letâs go!â He exclaimed as he began to run, still holding your hand.
He was right. By the time you arrived in front of the place he wanted to show you, your body wasnât cold anymore. He stopped running, turned to you, put his hands on his hips, and looked at you with a grin.
âDum-dum-dum-dumâŚ. The karaoke!â He exclaimed as he opened his arms towards the sign placed on the building.
You shook your head at his antics but laughed anyway. What a dork, you thought while a smile took its place on your lips.
âWe are going to sing and let off the steam. Are you ready?â He asked as he extended his hand for you to take.
Once inside the karaoke room, Lilia rushed to the control board to select his favorite songs while you took some pictures of the interior for the video. He turned his head to look at you and caught the phone in your hands.
âIâm lucky to have you as my assistant today.â He said out of nowhere.
You looked at him with a raised eyebrow. Silently asking him to elaborate.
âI completely forgot we had to film the video. Without you, I would have come back empty-handed.â He explained.
âI thought that we could maybe film this karaoke session to put in the video. It could be a fun memory to keep and show to Silver, Malleus, and Sebek.â You responded.
âSo that next time, they will join us. Smart, beastie. Very smart.â He exclaimed with a wink. âNow, Iâve chosen the song we will sing. We should choose an instrument to play in rhythm with it.â
The two of you looked inside the instrument box, looking for the perfect tool to liven up this karaoke experience.
âHow about a tambourine?â You asked as you held the instrument in your hand.
âIt will liven things up for sure!â He exclaimed as he rushed once again towards the control board to start the song.
As Piece of My World began, Lilia took the microphone in his hand and prepared to sing, or rather to yell his favorite lyrics. While you began to play the tambourine to match it as best you could to the rhythm of the music. You thought you were doing well until he stopped the music suddenly.
âWhy did you stop the music?â You asked, not understanding.
âWRONG! Thatâs not it at all!â He exclaimed with a distressed expression. âThis is NOT how you should play the tambourine. Iâll show you how itâs done!â
He took the instrument from your hands as he started the song again. He began to wiggle the tambourine as his whole body followed. Soon, he was dancing in the whole room, wiggling the instrument not at all on beat, but he looked like he was having fun. You were left speechless, watching him have the time of his life. You decided that you couldnât let this be forgotten, so you took out your phone and began to record him. Giggles escaped your mouth without you noticing them at the sight in front of you.
âAnd now here comes the best part! I hope you are ready!â He exclaimed as he pointed to you with the microphone in hand.
Suddenly, the chorus began, and you put your hands on your ears, knowing what was waiting for you.
âWoooaaah! Letâs dance to this twisted rhythm! Your willful, downcast gaze had its own kind of charm! Itâs all right! Isnât it good to be a little bad?!â Sang, or rather yelled, Lilia at the top of his lungs.
It went like this for the rest of the song. When the music ended, he came closer to you and looked at your phone over your shoulder.
âOh, it looks perfect. Iâm sure everyone will be jealous of not coming with us today.â He exclaimed with a smile. âNow, are you ready to have fun? Get as hyped as you can!â He said as he dragged you towards the microphone. Letâs say that you both sang (yelled?) for at least a dozen songs.
After singing for the rest of the afternoon, the two of you were now walking towards Bonbon Recette. You couldnât help but wonder how come Lilia hadnât lost his voice yet. Every time you heard him sing, he was yelling, and according to Cater, he was doing the same thing at the pop music club. Only Silver and Malleus had told you that he had a sweet voice. Were you talking about the same fae? Your thoughts were interrupted by the bell at the entrance of the bakery, signaling your arrival.
âIâve had the best time shouting with our whole hearts! We should do that again sometime!â He exclaimed with a smile on his face. âOh! A bonbon chocolat!â
You shook your head and smiled; of course he would drop everything to taste chocolate. As you saw his eyes widening, you knew what he would say and beat him to it.
âItâs delicious! Though, it isnât enough to grow big and strong!â You said, your hands on your hips as you imitated him.
âHehe! You know me so well.â He chuckled softly. âThis bittersweet sweetness is wonderful. It gives a mature taste. Itâs perfect for me.â He exclaimed with a smirk.
âHappy birthday, Lilia.â You said with a smile after rolling your eyes at his comment.
âThank you. Itâs great to be celebrated by so many wonderful people. Now, eat some cake too, or you wonât grow strong!â He exclaimed happily as he pushed a slice towards you.
