The one who let, even encouraged Stan come inside of him raw even though he knew that his pills weren't one hundred percent effective. He has to tell Stanley, Ford realizes, dread mixing with hesitant hope. His brother would know what to do. He'd fix everything. He needs his big brother to hold him and promise everything would be alright.
When he tells Stan, he's too distracted to notice that Stan's surprise seems artifical, that his eyes are already trained hungrily on Ford's torso. He doesn't notice Stan's manic grin when Ford is convinced to keep the baby. But then again, he hadn't been noticing that his birth control pills have been tasting different lately, ever since he shyly confided in his big brother that he'd been considering going to college.
Not that it would matter if he noticed. His big brother knew best in the end, after all.
