Ford absorbed Stan in the womb. When Ford found out about it, already as an adult, he decided to create a clone from his own cells and named him Stan.

He wanted to know what it was like to have a twin. But over time, the twin began to show dubious feelings toward him. And in the end, we get a relationship where Ford simply can't refuse Stan, because he loves him sm. Ford thinks it's stupid narcissism and tries to tell Stan about it, but Stan doesn't listen. He's obsessed with his brother.

I love both versions of this sooo much. The idea of a lonely, middle-aged Ford going his whole life feeling isolated and like some part of him is missing, only to find out he was always meant to have a twin and absolutely crashing out is so good. I can especially see him getting caught up in the fact that he absorbed his twin. Like he wanted so desperately to be close to his brother, even in the womb, that he accidentally got too greedy and made them one being again. And now he has to fix his mistake.

When he brings his clone—his twin—into the world, he finally feels whole. There's nothing he wouldn't do for him, nothing he wouldn't give him, to make up for the years he inadvertently kept them apart. So when Stan starts pushing for more and more and more, Ford barely even thinks about it. He gives it to him. Whatever he wants. Because Ford owes it to him.

I also really like the smut version though. It immediately reminded me of that House MD meme about mouse bites. Brotherly relationship will kill the clone. Stan needs brothercum to live!
