The childlike parallels between Void Archives and Welt Yang make me fucking giggle. Like, what do you mean Welts E6 is little Joachim because he never truly grew up due to the Core of Reason?? Let's all remember, folks, he got that thing when he was 8 and it significantly stunted his growth physically while he was forced to grow up so fast because he had taken up this huge name that now belonged to him. Welt literally became the savior of humanity when he was 8 years old. His name literally means world peace. So, once he got the Core of Reason, he was forced to grow up incredibly fast despite his body not catching the memo. He forced himself to grow up physically and mentally, but as soon as everything was over, do you know what he did? He started drawing, which is considered by most to either be childish or just a hobby. As soon as the Honkai eruptions were over, Welt started drawing professionally, and he raised his son the way no one raised him.
Additionally!! This guy was fully out here, talking to Bronya Z when she first became his successor, telling her that it's fully okay for her to be a child and that the same went for Kiana. Because no one gave him that option. And in HSR, he's relatively closed off and doesn't share much about himself. He literally locks everyone out. But he's still got that childlike wonder with mechs and drawing.
Welt Yang will always have that childlike wonder because he never got to be Joachim Nokianvirtanen long enough, and I want to see Void call him Joachim again just to remind him that he's still that person. I think he's forgetting that again with everything going on.
AND THEN THERE'S FUCKING VOID, AND I DO NOT KID WHEN I SAY: WHERE TO FUCKING START?
Every time we see Void before they get Otto's avatar - whether in the second eruption manga or Hi3 dialogue - they're always depicted as a child or as just the Archives cube. Inside the actual archives, their library, they are Otto's childhood visage. It could be because of malicious reasons or because they quite literally are like a child prior to getting a body because they know nothing of the real world outside of Otto's perspective, forcing them to see the world the way he does.
The Flamechasers deemed Void Archives too dangerous when Vill-V created them because they were sentient. For that reason, they wanted Void destroyed, but Vill-V didn't. Instead, she sealed them away. For 50 thousand years, Void was alone. No one was there to teach them right from wrong. No one could show them the good in the world. Nothing. But then Otto came along, and they started to learn from him and his decrepit little mind. Honestly, he was a very bad teacher, and it shows in how Void consistently acts, especially in APHO 1 and 2. But, until the pact is complete, Void is in the body of Otto's childhood. Really, I could just be to mess with him, and that would be very on point for Void, but it also could be because they had no other choice.
My point is that Void and Welt both have childlike parallels to each other because they missed out on so much. They never got a childhood, and they were forced to grow up far too quickly. And we see how good for each other they are. Welt shows Void the good in Alien Space, and he is passively undoing all the bad Otto did to them. Then Void is making Welt stronger by antagonizing him, forcing him to knuckle down in his ways. If they were there on Planarcadia right now. they'd be an unstoppable duo and not just because theyre Herrschers. They bounce off each other
That's why Welt protects the kids the way he does, so they can have some semblance of a childhood. And maybe that's another reason Void left, not just because Himeko kicked them out. Or maybe they knew she was already gone.
This is all just conjecture and my opinion though, take from it what you will. I just want to grab them both and squeeze them to death--
I need Void's e6 to be either just the cube or the Otto-Kid thing they are in their library so they match Welt--
