look, i know we need him for the plot, but I hate Dain. I don't understand what went wrong - the rest of the Deltora characters are at least a little likeable, and the actual HEIR (big surprise there, it's in his name) who all this is FOR is this...weird meandering nobody? I guess he's pretty similar to Lief, but you can only have one everyman. Ugh...
