Life as I see it

South Korean Illustrator Wooh Nayoung, aka Obsidian, created a beautiful series of reinterpretations of Western fairy tales in the in the style of traditional Korean animation. Despite all the wonderfully different cultural and stylistic details, each story is immediately recognizable. Pictured here are scenes from Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland, “The Little Mermaid”, Beauty and the Beast, “Little Red Riding Hood”, “Snow White”, and “The Frog Prince”:

Don’t apologize

I talk too much. This is a well known fact. About everything. Including my ex husband. 

So I was rambling the other night and I caught myself and apologized. And sonora said: (paraphrasing) 

You hear people say never to talk about your ex, but that’s not even possible. Of course you talk about him. And it’s okay, whenever you talk I get to know you more. I understand you more. Why you do what you do, how you think, how far you have come. I want to know everything about you. Your past is part of you. Don’t apologize. 

Mine

We generally sleep pretty close, touching, an arm thrown across a body, legs entangled. 

But sometimes someone rolls over, maybe their arm has fallen asleep or something. Or they get up to pee (I pee like three times a night). And we end up not touching. Sleeping Sonora doesn’t seem to like this. Some nights even more so.
