Something put together earlier in the year, a female peregrine falcon in flight.

This gal came to me from a rescue, she had asper among other issues + a crop that had become so badly impacted that it ruptured, scarred, got infected, and the infection spread up and through her nasal cavity to the point the bone had turned black. AWFUL smell, poor gal must have been in terrible pain.

Oliver the domestic c.at is all clean! He was a stray that we found dead on the street near our home. He had no external injuries, so it is possible that he died by drinking contaminated water or eating an animal that had been poisoned. These are only a couple of the possible risks to a c.at's health outdoors. Stray and outdoor c.ats in the United States are a huge problem for native wildlife populations, and have lessened life expectancies compared to indoor c.ats. Please keep your c.ats indoors.

This is the second oldest horse mount, mounted in 1633. The horse's name is Streiff and he was the favorite horse of king Gustav II Adolf of sweden. The king died in a battle in november 1632, and Streiff died in december or januari of his injuries.

He may not be perfectly accurate but remember that he was completely hand made, from wood and hay and with painted wooden eyes and without any of the easy premade forms or eyes available today. His head was carved from wood. It's nearly 400 years old and it not only survived all those years, but also a fire (well, minus his ears and the fur on his nose). It is amazing this old mount still stands, and in this condition!
