     “actually, now that i think about it...” her nose scrunches a little, she didn’t think about how dirty the floor might be at this point of the evening. “i might just have to suffer through it.” plus, she wouldn’t want to drag her friend’s dress across the floor. with the heels, the dress is a good enough length without it dragging. “i just have never worn anything like this,” she admits with a laugh, shaking her head. 

     “then i guess i’ll have to get used to it,” she teases, knowing full well she won’t get used to it at all. raina nods her head, laughing softly. “exactly, i feel like she was a little overzealous with it.” and she always wonders how faith just has things like this in her closet. “i’m sure i’m not the center of attention, i’m surprised so many dressed up for this.”

     raina’s lips spread into a smile, and she steps closer to him as he wraps her arms around her, head resting on his chest for a moment. it’s bittersweet, their last party together at gallagher, but she’s more excited for what their futures hold. his comment makes her laugh, looking up at him with her head tilted slightly. “careful, mr. donovan. keep it up, and we’ll have to leave our last gallagher event early.”

     “absolutely,” she says with a smile, offering her friend her arm. “barefoot or flats really is the choice we have to make. i feel like at this point in the evening, the floor might be stickier than it was at first. you know how many times i’ve seen someone drop a drink or spill it?” raina shakes her head as she pauses before continuing. “too many times.”

     “precisely,” she says with a laugh before shaking her head. “though i don’t think not having a shoe check in is grounds for a lawsuit. maybe next year they’ll just improve it.” raina won’t be here to benefit from it, but hopefully it’ll happen. “i don’t think it warrants running there, but i do appreciate your effort. but if you’re going to be barefoot with me, i don’t think we need to go to my dorm.”

     “right, that’s what i was thinking. it at least has to be near it,” raina agrees, glad someone else does too. she laughs, shrugging a shoulder. “oh, it’s alright. i do feel like i would be a little clunky in your shoes.”

     “oh, you know, sitting seems a lot better than going barefoot. i’m sure there’s plenty of people that have dropped drinks on the ground,” she says, wrinkling her nose at just the thought of it. raina shakes her head, lips forming a pout as her friend mentions not living together next year. “oh, we could have waited to bring that up, callie,” she replies with a laugh. “but i knew waterproof mascara was the way to go tonight.” she’s not crying yet, but she knows she will be more than likely. 

     raina’s arms instantly wrap around the other, squeezing her tight because she’s already feeling emotional about graduation. but she’s glad that bea distracts her. she smiles as she looks at her friend, “please. have you seen yourself? you look like an actual princess.”

     her jaw drops slightly before her lips move into a smile, happy for her friend. “stop it, no way!” she says, a little too loudly and someone near them looks over to them. she gives them a quick apology before turning back to clem. “when did this happen? i’m so happy for you.”

     “i don’t see any harm in trying. i don’t see any cons to giving my feet a little bit of a break. and i’m sure other people’s feet are killing them.”

     raina lets out a soft laugh when callum replies, at least he doesn’t think it’s too much. “oh, no. i just think i’m not used to all this,” she says, looking down at the dress that faith had picked. her hands go up and rest on his shoulders. “no, i’m okay,” she replies shaking her head as she smiles up at him. “plus you look so good in it, i don’t think i could take it away from you.”

     raina appreciates faith’s boost in confidence, but she still feels out of place. “don’t even go there,” she says, leaning into her best friend. “i think i might cry.” she already almost started crying when they were getting ready.

     “oh, i already feel like i’ll be stress baking a lot.” raina lets out a laugh at eden’s words, but she’s onto something. raina hopes her future coworkers have a sweet tooth! “i’m going to be in atlanta working for the fbi. kind of doesn’t seem real yet.”

     raina follows, looking down at his boots before shaking her head. “i think we might be out of luck,” she says shrugging a shoulder. “though i do think these heels would go great with your outfit.”

     she feels her cheeks warm at levi’s reaction, rolling her eyes at him. “stop,” she says with a laugh as she wraps her own arms around him. “i let faith decide what i was going to wear. still trying to figure out if that was a mistake or not.”

     “maybe we should, i feel like that would be such a great addition to the party.” though she definitely wouldn’t want to walk around barefoot either, so she’s guessing that maybe it is a good thing they don’t have one. raina’s lip turn into a pout at the compliment, “oh, thanks. i feel like such an imposter but you,” she pauses for an emphasis. “you look amazing!”
