Cheeks redden and he feels like he’s overheating. Of course his mother has to embarrass him, much less with that nickname. He can already hear Aidan and Seb laughing at his pain, the two boys repeating the nickname. Why me? He asks himself, smiling at the president as he takes his diploma, shakes their hand, and continues walking. Why God, why me?

But despite his embarrassment, he can’t hide how happy he is at this moment. Because just like his mother, he graduated from Gallagher. Even if she embarrasses him in public, he still loves her with his entire heart. And when he catches her eye, she waves and mouths love you baby, which he returns with a i love you too, mom.

“  a  little  bit  of  the  bubbly !  ”  seb  marches  over  with  three  champagne  flutes  in  his  hand ,  they’re  surprisingly  harder  to  balance  than  pint  glasses  but  he  doesn’t  spill  any ,  letting  each  of  them  take  their  glass . “  —  to  the  two  best  mates  i  could  ask  for .  ”  he  raises  his  own  glass  in  toast .

“For the record…” Miray says, putting down her drink as she looks over at him. “I think that our mission of combatting pyramid schemes is way cooler.” She’s kidding but she fears talking too much and too seriously about any of it might make her finally break. 

“Hey man, CATCH,” the male instructed before tossing an item at him .. softly, I would like to add. “Is that the one you wanted ? I sort of just googled new pokemon game and that was the first thing that showed up.” Would’ve been unfortunate if it wasn’t, he didn’t even see a return policy. Ordering online was a fucking journey and they said being a spy was difficult. “Also, please don’t hug me.” / @jrzimmerman·

ting is reminded of how many people she still has yet to get to know here, how the school can feel so big and so small at the same time, and so a voice she doesn’t know super well intrigues her enough to open her eyes prematurely. “oh, sorry. i should not have assumed you were approaching me.” she smiles a little. “the gardens are fair game.”

“Nah you’re good, don’t worry about it,” he assured her with a gentle smile. “The gardens are for everyone so you doing your whole… thing right now? That’s totally cool.”

       “ BECAUSE I DON’T WANT IT ANYMORE. ”   realizing how that sounds, he adds,   “ not that there’s, like, anything wrong with it. i just have too much, and i wanted to get rid of some. i don’t feel equipped enough to sell it either, so. do you know anyone who’d want some ? ”

“ready to go, antsy, and sentimental, but barely,” yara ticks off on her fingers. “there are people i’m gonna miss but i can’t say i’m all that sad to leave gallagher as an institution.”

      “  𝚒𝚜  𝚒𝚝  𝚖𝚎𝚜𝚜𝚎𝚍  up  to  say  that  i  expected  escaped  double  agents  ?  i  mean  ,  as  much  as  they  put  up  a  cover  ,  they  did  make  some  ride  or  die  friends  .  ”  they  wonder  how  the  rest  of  their  family  is  dealing  with  all  this  .  particularly  val  and  kass  .  “  i  heard  they’re  able  to  continue  school  here  .  ”  though  blair  doesn’t  see  much  of  a  point  .  aren’t  they  technically  spies  already  ?
