I forgot how painting feels like. It's really relaxing. Why did I even enter grad school when I can just work and paint more 😅

I'm still in denial that we have online midterm exams next week. But, hey, at least I'm productive.

It has been a long time since I made art. Here's a self portrait I made when I wasn't in the mood to study at one point.

This year, we celebrated new year 2017 in Japan! That's a first! Celebrating holidays out of the country is really a first. So my sister bought a copic ciao set. :)

Amidst floods of cases, I'm surprised I found time to hold a brush.

When bored, draw. I attended a seminar/workshop in our school org about publication wherein the invited speakers were from Scout Magazine. Our org provided us with notebook fillers and ballpens for notes but I didn't write anything because well, the talk was more on articles, layout and photo, I'm an illustrator hence these drawings.

My first digital portrait: Jannaenae I finally bought a wacom drawing tablet with my own moolah. This is my first attempt at digital sketching. I forgot about the quality though (canvas to big and drawing too small).

August 27, 2016 This was a very very veeery lucky day. I did not get called for recitation (I did not study the night before!). I got some kitkat chocolates, a starbucks gift cert, and an iPhone 5s gold from a raffle in an school org general assembly! I have to thank TheBarrister for the stuffs (a law school publication, I joined as an illustrator) 🙇👧 P.S. I gave the iPhone 5s to my sister as her birthday gift. *i'm such a good sister* 😹😹😹

Rainy season and it floods outside. Inside I'm drowning in a flood of cases.

ART STUFFS I USE: -200gsm Canson watercolor sheets -180gsm Berkeley watercolor pad (until paper runs out--will not buy this again, we like canson better) -Sakura Koi watercolor 18-colors -Pebeo watercolor tubes (stashed away somewhere to be used in the future) -White Dong-A poster color -Random brushes: 5 diff Martol brushes, berkeley, some cheap brushes -Waterbrushes: Sakura Koi and Tokyo Finds -Unipin fineliner (0.05, 0.1) -Sakura Micron Pigma 03 -Uniball Signo white and pink -Staedler pencils (6H, HB) -Bic mechanical pencil 0.5 -Pilot mechanical pencil 0.5 -Uni auto-eraser -Faber Castell kneadable eraser -Washi tapes *Me and my sister use the same stuff so yeahh. 😙

1st week of law school and my soul already wants to leave me. I haven't fully adjusted yet. There are mountains of readings (court cases) for a class recitation the next day. Haven't read that much in such short amount of time in my whole life.
