the iRO wiki guide says you have to go and read the other books in the library as well, but I don't think that's really necessary... maybe it differs from server to server. if you're interested in what the other books had to say, go here.

again, the iRO wiki says to go talk to the other statues, which... didn't seem to have any real effect on the quest, since this first one seems to do the trick, unless if somehow by not talking to them all you simply can't progress? I did it anyhow, so here you go.

can I just say I actually really enjoy how "you" are written in this game? just such a snarker and kind of silly...

this is something that bothers me a bit about RO... the dwarves. I know there are dwarf NPCs in a few select quests... I think related to god item quests... but that's it. there's really no information about them. where do they live, what is their standing in society, etc etc... I wish I knew.

Every Junonian soldier starts off by saying this; I didn't screencap the others because well, that would be redundant.

this soldier wins the award for having the most pointless dialogue in the city.

this NPC has two different dialogues.

well, first I went to talk to the servants that you meet during the quest, just to see what they said before you actually started.

okay, now for the real start.

you have to talk to the servants in a certain order, but here's something that foreshadows the base of the quest if you talk to this servant out of order:

you actually start with the man outside.

    I dunno, he may be onto something.

he didn't even get the name he made up (which wasn't even very creative) right. vincent you aren't very good at this.

This, to me, is the core of the quest, this information about the social system of Arunafeltz. I never really see anybody else actually dealing with this, though... although I guess it's because RO info is generally not that well-known to begin with.

Then, in an Einbroch inn...

the thing about this house is that the father is right at the entrance and if you get near him he kicks you out, so the only way to speak to the other NPCs in the house is through the walls...

if you've already done the Factory Quest, you don't even have to go to the factory, you can immediately talk to Shinokas again. however that means I accidentally skipped a dialogue, which I looked up again:

So...? Did you learn anything new in the Factory?

there are various sets of passwords you have to put in, and they're all equally ridiculous and hard to type. I copy/pasted mine in which is how I did it so fast...

then on the domestic airship...

go buy some apples (100 to be exact) from the apple seller...

I accidentally skipped by a window of dialogue when I went back to Zelmeto, but I found the script: 

What...? This is worse  than I expected. But it's good that we know about these problems as soon as possible.

the gemstone is now bright. essentially you're doing the opposite of Side A, unknowingly going along with weakening the seals...

idk what happened to the dialogue there, but Makkie is in an inn/bar within the Lighthalzen Slums.

Perhaps this is when the Biolab mobs were born.

Technically, the server as a whole is required to donate 500 million zeny to Priestess Nemma (in the name of the sanctuary, of course) in order to start the quest. You receive vouchers in return for donations, which you can redeem with Priestess Panno inside the building to receive random helpful items.

You receive two options, but the right one leads to...

You enter the building and, along a certain route, various dialogue boxes will pop up.

Eventually you come into this room.

Move around to trigger again...

Pushing or kicking the gate should work. If you choose "Smash gate with weapon," it says something like, "Wait! That's not a good idea. You can't smash down the gate to a holy place: heroes don't specialize in desecration." (Taken from an rAthena script.)

Aside from redeeming vouchers, you now have the option to ask her about the gate.

I feel like Arunafeltz is one of those places with a propensity for twins... but thinking about it, they may have only made Panno and Nemma twins so that they could reuse the art...

So Panno you're the first one to mention the Holy Grounds huh...

The reason he speaks so familiarly to you is because you met him in the Lost Child quest.

This is why I think characters who come from Rachel are in a unique situation... they're basically stuck in Rachel, so for them to be outside of the city / country means either they did something and cannot go back, or they hated Rachel enough to leave despite the stigma.

You're provided with a place to type your answer when she asks where you come from and what you did there, so you can literally say anything to her... you could say you come from the planet Vulcan and when you lived there you mind melded or something. Anything goes.

not very far my ass, he's in the 3rd level of the dungeon. though how he got there is anyone's guess.

not to mention how he became bones in less than a day.

so then you must run around the three levels of the dungeon to find the blade pieces. supposedly the locations of the blades are random.

and again, how they ended up in all those places is anyone's guess.

this NPC will kick you out of the inn several times.

this quest requires you to make the right dialogue choices in order to progress. however the right choices are REALLY FARFETCHED IDE...

I'd thought I'd gotten it right this time but nope.

APPARENTLY IT HAS TO BE THIS WAY:

this doctor turned out to be my least favorite part of the quest.

the above two dialogues are the most common you'll get. randomly, you'll get a box that lets you proceed: 

and yes, you have to pick those options to proceed.

but more often than not you're cockblocked AGAIN by this box. the proceeding box is this: 

another cockblock box. so basically you have to KEEP CLICKING ON HER AND TALKING TO HER AND JUST SAYING THE SAME THINGS OVER AND OVER AND I REALLY HATE THIS NPC.

eventually you'll get through though and get:

you know, like I kept asking you to a million times before.

...if I weren't trying to complete the quest I might have just kept the Haedonggum.

Your character must first receive a Letter of Recommendation from their respective NPC, then head to the Morroc Bar (possibly Assassin Bar).

You then go into an area where you have a limited amount of time to talk to the NPCs and are presented with a choice of which mission you wish to take. You may either go with Kidd:

The dialogue for Assassins varies slightly from the other classes.

Side A goes with Kidd.

Head to Juno...

If you didn't notice, the crest is now dull, whereas before it was shiny.

Yes, because a cute hat will hide my Assassin outfit.

Kidd's dialogue there is possibly my favorite in this entire quest.

And then comes my least favorite part of the quest... literally the reason I hated doing it. You have to go TO THANATOS TOWER...

climb up to the FOURTH FLOOR... to find this MACHINE...

and have to do basically a NUMBER GUESSING GAME. I think if you're good at math and/or puzzles it's easier, but for me it SUCKED.

Obviously, if you get the number wrong, you have to start again. But eventually...

Then within the Morroc Castle...

You walk along this rainbow road for a while but it is super creepy... at certain intervals you get these popups and regularly dialogue appears at the top of the screen...

BTW, with every one of these dialogues, you get the Blind status.

Also, weirdly enough, the dialogues reference the Ragnarok manhwa. There actually IS a man in Morroc Castle who is taking children and killing them (in the scene we see, he is lowering them into a boiling pot, hence the smoke), and every time it IS a full moon and the guards are increased.

The road goes on for a long time but finally you reach the end...

What countries, RO world is sort of limited in that regard.

You try this with all the camels with no luck.

And here comes the section of the quest that makes the entire thing a horrible experience.

The materials you gathered as food are enough to feed the camel five times. However, way more often than otherwise it poops out these potatoes. That means you may get five potatoes and with all your materials gone, you have to go back and get more, knowing that you may well get five more potatoes. Endless potatoes.

This is why this quest SUUUUUCKS.

Four more times and finally...

After a little running around the Morroc Ruins...

He tells us that High Priest Zhed wishes to talk to us, so off to Arunafeltz.

So talk to Niren...

If you think about it, your character is a huge criminal from all these quests... but since you're doing it for a good cause...

I am not sure if this is the truth... if it is, that means the Pope's origins (and her brother's) are a mystery. But it could very well be fabricated, a lie told to the Pope to ensure she believes her origins are mystical.

I don't understand why he does this.

Anyhow, into the dungeon...

and then she does the exact same three "chanting" dialogue windows as before...

...and again, if we lose it, she can remake it if we bring her the materials.

But what happened to the Sa-Mhing Tiger? Why is this place supposedly filled with evil spirits? What the heck is Lady Tanee?
