Sorry to Answer you so late. 

It is very clearly mentioned in the book- The Glories And Pastimes of Radharani written by Bhakti Purushottam Swami that Radharani was, as a newborn child, blind because She wanted to see Lord Krishna the first time she would open Her eyes. 

Her intense Love for Him was the reason that she chose to be blind when she was born till the time the Lord himself came to Her and opened Her eyes by touching Her.

.....Spent my Diwali In Vrindavan.....  

The wonderful and divine feeling in imli-tala and near Yamuna.....and when I touched the waters of Yamuna....for once I completely forgot the outer world and felt that I was touching my Lord.....5000 years ago in this most holy waters my Lord bathed and near its banks had great pastimes with His maid-servants,the Gopis and Radha.....

Katyayani Vrata

The Gopis(cowherd maidens) performed Katyayani vrat to get Lord Krishna as their Husband.....Impressed and moved by their simplicity and love, Krishna , the Almighty who does not need anyone for His enjoyment...who is blissful Himself...showered His mercy on them and stole their clothes when the Gopis were taking bath....Now the gopis had no choice but to come naked to take their clothes from Krishna.....which fulfilled their vrata as only Ones Husband can see the Wife naked...that's how Krishna,the merciful Lord fulfilled the wish of the maidens

My sincere thanks to all who follow Radharani's blog and to others also....my apologizes to those who do not like the posts for any reasons...please forgive me because after all I'm writing about Radharani whom we cannot even think by our limited brains but somehow this blog may help people to atleast cultivate a little bit of devotion towards the Supreme Personality of Godhead, Krishna. Actually I'm writing just to inform that due to the tight schedule of college I may delay in writing or posting photos so please Radharani and the devotees who eagerly see the post...PLEASE FORGIVE ME!!!
