Jay opens his eyes and he's lying on a hospital bed with no one in sight. He walks out the open door and is immediately confronted by what he believes to be a ghost wandering the halls - oh shit I'm dead.

Total freak out, lots of overwhelming feelings - I've left Sam, but I'm still here, and I'll be stuck at this hospital forever (I wonder what my ghost power will be), Sam's going to have to leave me here...

He sees Sam coming down the hallway on the phone crying to someone - what she's saying is vague enough to be misconstrued as grief over Jay's passing - and avoiding the creepy ghost.

Jay's in the middle of a tearful apology for leaving her when Sam reaches out to him - and touches him.

"Babe, what are you doing out of bed? The doctor said you had a concussion - you shouldn't be walking around."

Oh shit. He looks up and creepy ghost is just a creepy patient now being led back to their room. And then Pete walks around the corner.

Cut to them returning the manor and Jay does a Kyle, acting like he can't see ghosts until one of them says something snarky that requires a reaction.
