It's been so long since I've read a physical paper book... I just tried to scroll down a page because the place I was up to was blocked by my mug.
Reading a different physical book, didn't fully understand a word so went to highlight it with my finger so I could "web search" and see the definition in the Google results.

I actually dug up a googledoc I had (obviously) forgotten about. These are the entirety of my notes from this time last year...
Was trying to come up with a Companion AU where Edwin is a bot and couldn't figure out why Thomas as we know him would want to procure an uptight Edwin bot (though i'm sure someone can come up with sexy reasons), when some sort of grungy cyberpunk au started taking shape, with Thomas being a scrapper/mechanic/hacker who rebuilds and jailbreaks discarded Emphatix tech and resells them on the black market. He likes giving his bots autonomy and free will, mostly as a fuck you to his former employer, and pretends he doesn't think its the morally right thing to do. Then he uncovers an older model in random junk pile, something that was used in more professional settings, akin to a C3PO protocol droid. He rebuilds it and something about the old school model stops him for putting it up for sale. He sets the bot up as his office manager, someone to handle customers (ugh) and all the tedium that comes with running an underground business, and slowly but surely the bot evolves into smart, bitchy, fascinating Edwin.
Aaaand now I'm having thoughts of Niko being his Jarvis… Ooohh... or like LYLA from spiderverse
She may have had a small screen time, but she became my favorite sin because of how pretty she is~🐑🩷

i get so emotional every time i think about fanfic culture. it's just so beautiful that people are writing and anonymously posting these thousand-word stories about characters we all love and not even getting any money or public fame from it. it's literally just for the love of the game.

Shocking that when you focus on quality and give the story to actual writers they can successfully cement a character, give you her entire backstory, make you fall in love with her and make you cry when they kill her off, all in a span of 30mins.
