“I can admit New York helped me grow up- helped me build a thicker skin for sure. It’s transformative in a way Lima could never dream of being, and I say that as a person who blossomed as much as I could’ve while in a small town’s confines. I can imagine it’ll be hard to tear yourself away, I know it’s been for me, but make sure to visit more than you’d probably like to. It’ll always be a way to keep your head just below the clouds instead of all the way inside them. Take that as a pro-tip.”

“There’s a reason your father used to take the train in from Jersey so often, well, at least that’s what he told me when we met. I was so genuinely surprised that he ended up in Lima, but I feel like you’re going to just thrive in the New York environment like he did.”

That’s entirely possible. We should really get some of the old gang back together soon- maybe have a karaoke night and reminisce. I can offer our basement, actually. I did my best to recreate my old set up from my childhood home in ours and it’s been ages since it’s seen a good show.

When I’m always happy to get back into the classroom and put up new posters, and break out my cricut to start on the the freshmen welcome packets. Also the play list i’ve had going all day is major throw back vibes.

Any throwbacks I might recognize? I’m assuming some are off old glee playlists.

As many of you probably do not know, I’ve been offered the position of Principal of McKinley. And yes, I know how ironic that is. 

Have I said today how incredibly proud I am of you? I know I did say it about six hundred times yesterday, but I feel like I could still do some more.

“I wouldn’t take down any of your pictures! I know you’ve got a deep love for anything that comes from Norman’s camera, I know better than to mess with those. I’m just.. Talking about adding a few more furniture pieces and some decor.”

“I’d say a dance lesson, but I’m still laid up for another month. I bake a mean batch of cookies.”

“Make it takeout and alcohol and I’ll do it. This star needs some decompression time.”

“That’s the best part about Ryder’s job, when I want something updated, he can do it over the weekend.”

“I might have to persuade you to let me borrow him sometime.”

“yeah no thanks, i like the bare walls and pictures from norman with the basic furniture just fine.”

"But it’s so.. Drab.”

“Okay– first lets talk this through. You remodeled you house last year, I understand some change here and there when items need updating but Rachel, my love. When I look at you my wallet hurts, and I’m not even your husband. Do you REALLY, need to redecorate the house, again?” 

“It wasn’t last year! It was closer to five, Blaine. Jesse knows better than to question my passion projects.”

“When you’re done, come redecorate my house. Thanks Rach.”

“I might have to charge a fee, Mike. My tastes don’t come cheap.”

“Honestly, you and me both. Except for me it’s the bakery. Which I shouldn’t since I just opened. It’s like you’re just itching to change things up whenever you read a magazine or something.”

“I’ve always seen pieces of myself in you, Marley. You have some similar perfectionist tendencies, especially about things that mean a lot to you. Do you have any ideas? Or do you just have the itch to do it spontaneously?”

“Well if for some reason they say no, bunking with Liam for a few days wouldn’t be the worst thing would it?”

“never been so happy to have my own apartment.”
