Can you believe Journal 3 will turn a decade old this Summer?
Uzi actually used to like doors.
When Uzi was a toddler, she would repeatedly open and close doors when she got bored. She just found the movement to be entertaining. She would start by opening a door and then gently pushing it closed, but eventually escalated to slamming any and all doors when bored. It got so bad she started actually causing damage to them. Khan eventually had to create “the door is not a toy” rule so she’d stop breaking his doors. If Khan had to remind Uzi that doors aren’t toys more than three times in a day, she’d get put in time out. That seemed to kill her interest in doors.
After that, she moved on to toy cars, a much less annoying and destructive habit. She would spend hours rolling them across the floor, the table and all the kitchen counters. Sometimes, she’d just run her hands over the wheels. The reason she developed this obsession was because she was fascinated by the wheels’ movement, just like she was with doors opening and closing. Khan never did figure out the reason for this fascination either.
“Why does every glitch cartoon have a female protagonist?”
I think the fact you notice that is a testament to sheer number of pitches that get rejected everyday by big companies for being female led or female focused.
Like I’m not joking that can straight up be what gets your idea shut down. It can be a concept killer.
Male led/focused media doesn’t severely dwarf female led media in sheer volume because male targeted media is intrinsically more interesting or because it’s the only thing artists want to make.
It’s because big companies fundamentally regard most “girls media” as basically shovelware. They do not want to make it.
Every successful girl focused IP out there is kinda unironically seen as the exception to the “rule” that “girls media” doesn’t sell as well.
They can love the story, the ideas, the characters and the potential of your pitch and still reject it solely because the protagonist is a woman.
Why I haven’t been posting
So I haven't been posting my headcanons or my writing very often, as some of you may have noticed. Rest assured, I am still here, as my reblogs can attest to! I've been experiencing a lot of anxiety about socializing lately and it's stopped me from posting very much. I will hopefully start posting for all my favorite fandoms again soon, so please don't be worried or anything. I am still working on stuff, I’ve just been too nervous to share any of it.

Tell people about the critically endangered pygmy raccoon (Procyon pygmaeus) that is found only on the island of Cozumel, Mexico.
It is fun and free to do so. To tell people about the pygmy raccoon. There are less than 120 left in the world. They are a completely separate species from the raccoons found elsewhere.
You should tell people this so they will know (because right now the do not know.) It is fun andfree
like to charge, reblog to cast.
The beautiful thing as you get older is that you realize so many “rules” are made up and you can just do whatever. Posters can go anywhere in the house not just my room. I can sit down while cooking a meal or taking a shower. I can make the same thing for breakfast lunch dinner for a week straight. I can roam around the house shirtless. I can wear a dress with jeans. The world is my oyster key word my and I can live as I please embracing little things such as this
sorry that i ended two consecutive messages with "lmao." i don't know why i did that. it looks really dumb doesn't it. i'll edit one to get rid of it. you can end my stupid pathetic life if you want

His name is Haymitch
So my family recently got some goslings and I got to name one. This is Haymitch. I named him after Haymitch Abernathy from The Hunger Games series. He is already such a little rascal! He keeps trying to eat my hair and despite being the smallest of his siblings, he is very feisty and energetic. He’s definitely following in the footsteps of his namesake.
Shout out to all the Black ppl that can no longer participate directly in the fandom they love because of the stresses of racism 👍🏾 you contain multitudes of value and I'm sorry that the color of your skin and the power of your voice makes people not want to acknowledge that.
Yes, nonblack people can reblog. I'd appreciate it, in fact, if y'all took the time to vocally support your Black friends/fans in fandom.
Today is Donald's birthday and it's also friday the 13th so it's the only day you can reblog this
One of our chicken’s eggs hatched like a minute ago. I wonder if it’ll have Donald or Della’s personality.
They remind me of each other so much it’s actually insane.
Do you think in the murder drones universe that daisy bell song is highly respected history or is the song basically uncanny valley but for drones upon hearing it?
I think many drones view it the way most people view classical music. It’s a historical piece and is respected in academic settings and such but most drones don’t go out of their way to listen to it unless they enjoy historical pieces.

This dog is Vanessa Shelly
No, I will not elaborate.
Mike doesn't like bugs
Mike got a ton of bug bites when on the camping trip that Garret was taken during. They were mostly mosquito bites (mosquitoes seemed to love biting him), but he also got stung by a wasp and he had a few spider bites as well. They’d bothered him for most of the trip, but Mike forgot about them after his brother was abducted.
The drive back home was very strange to say the least. Mike's father wouldn't even look at him. Conversely his mother stared at him in the rearview mirror. Mike would attempt to make conversation with his parents, but neither of them would reply. Eventually Mike stopped trying and went back to scratching his bug bites. He ended up scratching them until they were bloody. He hadn't even noticed that he was bleeding until he looked down and saw the blood on his hand. He couldn't hold the tears back anymore. He just gave up and started sobbing this deep painful cry that made it hard to breathe.
He'd only ever seen a person cry like that once before. It had been only two days ago, when the police told them that there wasn't much else they could to do find Garret. His mother broke. Mike tried to comfort her, clung to her, told her he was sorry, told her he loved her, but nothing he did seemed to help. That scared him. He'd never seen any adult in his life cry before, let alone like that. What made it worse was that he thought it was his fault. And it seemed to Mike that his father did too because he pried him away from his mother, and flung him aside, telling him to get away from her.
Mike doesn't even remember the drive home from Nebraska. His brain likely repressed the memory, just like it did with some of his other memories. Despite this, every time Mike sees a bug, he gets a deeply unsettled feeling in the pit of his stomach and he gets this awful tingly feeling in his left arm. He has no idea why this happens though, so he just stops and stares, hoping that the missing pieces will come to him eventually.
