It’s here !! The guide for two-legged people who don’t know how to draw wheelchairs !!! 7 pages of infodump ! Disclaimer : I don’t know everything, I have one (1) experience of wheelchair user who used both bad and good chairs, and I share what I learned.

5) A hand grab different parts of the wheel, pushing harder in the second half. Bubbles says “some have gloves, some don’t. The hand must grab the biggest area possible. Less movement = more energy. This is a common but not only way to push.Calvin is on his back wheels, rolling on grass and dirt bubble says “popping a wheelie is when a wheelchair user rolls on their back wheels to roll on every complicated surface.

6) several drawings illustrate the folding frame, the ergonomic but rigid and expensive backrest, the separated footrest (only for folding frame), the handles, the folding handles, athe amovibles handles, or no handles, the cool fancy loopwheels, the pretty custom colors 

7) More Features ! The fancy rigid-foldable frame, the anti tippers (sometimes used by beginners), the motorization (wheels, smart drive) when propelling yourself is difficult Calvin says “and now vroom vroom motherfuckers”

Because they’re not marketing the show form as a power up. This isn’t how they market those. This is almost being marketed like a permanent upgrade. Which not sure it’ll be that yet but this seems to be leaning that way!

And they’re absolutely wrong. She looks a lot better in Red. Makes her pop more in the precure lineup.

They are queer and were written with that in mind by their writers. Writers that wanted to do more. Did do more before Disney forced them to self censor.

Disney and Pixar’s decisions to hide these characters queerness away is not one to be respected. It’s not to be accepted.

These characters are queer. And there’s nothing Disney or Pixar can do about it.

We see them for what they are. And what they could’ve been had their shows aired in a better time and world.

he is literally sandwiched between two females: his mother and the ant queen and it just makes no sense why him, out of them three, is male. especially for his other reasons. he literally was gonna be insect queen too and was happy to be one when his mother died. this makes it just so confusing as to why they made him male. especially when disguising as jerry, he literally struggled with masculinity hard like a woman disguising as a male. plus his butterfly didnt get screentime making it sound as if dave franco only voiced the jerry robot especially when they make scenes when francos voice glitches as his robot gets destroyed, something that wouldnt have happened if this were his actual voice making it seem like francos voice as butterfly was small enough it was only out of convenience thanks to the lack of screentime and making it sound like eman abdul-razzak voiced him in the entire movie. abdul-razzak as titus sounded like a teenage girl rather than a child of either gender throughout. on top of that in that stage he really had a bratty personality like a teenage girl. not to forget where he was the LEGITIMATE heir to his mother and still the council was hesitant to hail him.

all combined shows where he stands. pixar has always casted actual boys as boys, even when their first movie was ever released that featured a boy at a time where women voicing boys was standard and always stood by this for a very long time and even did so internationally for almost every dub not just domestically, it was only until titus that these things started to happen which shows they knew what mess they made: half of the dubbing agencies cast girls or women and the rest boys??

And Hoppers is an interesting case when discussing this because it actually does have potential developmental queer erasure in it. Though we don’t know for sure.

But it’s not Titus.

It’s the Reptile Queens.

I cannot find the piece of concept art right now for the life of me but there was one that referred to them as girlfriends. “she + her snake girlfriends” specifically. Could be romantic, could be not.

Which they are not in the final film. I believe they’re sisters in the final film? They’re kinda left ambiguous.

Which is an issue. Because they’re routinely portrayed in marketing imagery all knotted together into a ball like that.

If you know even a little bit about snakes you know why it’s kinda inappropriate to portray anything but a snake couple like that.

Snakes do that when they’re mating.

It’s called a mating ball. Snakes coiling, curling and knotting together is an explicitly romantic imagery. It’s just actual nature.

So if they really were changed from a poly couple to a set of sisters they accidentally did a sailor moon Dub and chose incest over queerness by not tweaking that part of their visual design.

And if it was up to me? I’d just have them be a couple. It’s less weird.

They did and they didn’t. What they did to Riley was kind of a different queerphobic issue. And it centers around Riley’s admiration of an older girl in her School called Val.

Now Riley and Val were never going to be a couple. They shouldn’t considering there’s quite a noticeable age gap between them. Val being 17 while Riley is 13. The best anyone could’ve ever read between them was a one sided crush coming from Riley.

And that’s what Disney was freaking out about behind the scenes.

They were terrified and horrified at even just the potential that people could think Riley had a crush on Val. So they constantly giving notes to the animators to tone down Riley’s reactions around Val as to try to make them feel less romantically inclined.

They were trying to Gayproof Riley. To make sure there was absolutely zero way she could be potentially read as bi. Like that was the worst thing that could happen to her.

And obviously as we all know literally from the reaction to the first trailer drop? They failed. Super failed. People immediately clocked that it felt like Riley had a crush on Val.

Because when you try that hard to make something not seem queer? It near universally makes the even unintentional queer undertones all the more obvious.

Because there’s a queer reading someone could make to literally anything. And those readings are completely normal just like any other.

They were so terrified of a bi reading in fact that they still didn’t clock that there’s an even easier queer reading for Riley.

Which is the fact Riley is the only person in the story whose emotions are different genders.

With every other character in the story to a universal degree their emotions line up with their gender identity. Even other children.

So Riley? Could pretty easily read as genderfluid couldn’t she?
