i think i have ocd…. (im not professionally diagnosed, but i really really think so.) reading “stop counting stars” really touched me. my symptoms dont present the same way as steves, but the overlap was there, and i felt seen in a way i dont usually feel. it really helped me understand a lot of things about myself and what i could maybe have in the future. i hope i can find somebody like eddie someday. and, it practically goes without saying, but you are a great writer.

ahhh,,, im glad you found my fic!! and in a way its comforting to know you related. my symptoms arent like steves either, but i feel like OCD can be really isolating and make the universe seem so small, especially when you dont know what it is/dont have a label for it yet. keeping yourself open to others (even if it hurts) opens up the whole world. when i wrote it i was thinking a lot about that one quote: "be yourself so the right people can find you". i believe youll find many eddies out there <3
