guide to the romantiquism aesthetic
Romantiquism [Antique Romanticism] focuses on aesthetic, elegant, classy, vintage vibes. It holds core values of intellectual expansion, aestheticism [the wildean ideal that oneās life purpose it to make their life as beautiful as possible] and romanticisation.
As it is originally designed to be a personal aesthetic, it also incorporates religious symbolism, greek mythological symbolism, theatrical elements [in accordance to the beauty of life], romanticisation of morbidity, the colours burgundy and maroon [centrally] and other motifs with meaning to me [red telephones, deer, eyes black coffee and distorted vintage watches/clocks.]

fabrics: silk, satin, cashmere, wool, lace, cotton, velvet, fur
patterns: usually none, but occasionally dark florals and floral lace, deer print
elegant satin/silk blouses

lace undershirts with blouses layered over the top
vintage dresses [50s + 60s]
waistcoats, cinched waist
colours: gold, rose gold, copper [jewellery]
cross necklaces, earrings etc.
pomegranate/apple necklaces
no foundation, or a foundation/concealer slightly lighter than oneās skin
contour cheekbones, nose and jaw, not too strongly [to preference, though]
mascara, specifically darkening and accentuating the lower lashes
warm toned brown to cream eyeshadow gradient, glittering cream coloured inner corners-gradient to dark brown outer corners
black eye liner wing [size to preference]
maroon / burgundy cream lipstick
any hair is suitable, though for the sake of personal aesthetic, the following is the suggested.
auburn or dark warm brown hair
can have bleach blonde streaks through it or bleach blonde fringes
worn down and curled, or in an elegant updo / braid
maroon / burgundy / wine red glossy coloured
can have a singular decorated nail per hand with a motif
