i made this so i can keep track of them but also so i can spread the joy of some of these fics to those who have yet to read them. i make an effort to update this list regularly. enjoy <3

- allow me the pleasure of loving you by pyrrhicwildfire (no matter how many todobaku fics i read, i always find myself drawn back to this fic. they’re so in love <3)

- Andromeda: Death by tankman (it’s one of the few fem!bakugou fics i genuinely love. they don’t just reduce her to ‘spunky tsundere’ but actually take the time to delve into the misogyny female heroes endure. i think this quote summarises it best: “Women were the best martyrs, weren’t they?”. also, lesbian bakujirou!!)

- A Study in Firsts by Oceanbreeze7 (if you need a reason to read this fic: a bomb squad is called in to dispose of bakugou’s sweaty socks and mitsuki tries to throw down with endeavor)

- Bro Trip by notoraeous (this is a midoriya-centric fic in which he, bakugou, kirishima and kaminari embark on a roadtrip to find midoriya’s dad (though they don’t know that). there’s a play list and it definitely looks like something kirishima would make)

- By love’s blind chance we’ve been bound by Hedgehog-kun (kirbaku witcher au that i think is just. so cute??? kirishima’s the witcher and bakugou’s a witch, featuring our darling bard kaminari. please read it it’s so good)

- charm potions for dumbasses in love by pyrrhicwildfire (dabibaku, in which bakugou is a witch and touya keeps buying love potions to use on him. he’s so stupid <3)

- control fraek by aloera (hagakure and hatsume truly deserve more appreciation than they receive, this fic is. out of this world.)

- Damned if You Shindon’t, Damned if You Shindo by MECHACHANSEY (a rebound fic with bakugou and shindo. it is. excellence.)

- Dumb Dog by wolfboy (this is so cute??? bakugou’s a werewolf and everyone but midoriya knows)

- Evolve by wolfboy (another bakudeku fic i really enjoyed :) it’s a character study)

- EXEUNT by Heronfem (a todobaku fic from the perspective of midoriya (plus some kirideku). absolute perfection tbh)

- Fire Lily by EtherealBeing (i don’t really read bakudeku fics but this one?? this one??? where do i even fucking start this is GORGEOUS. it uses angels and demons to explore themes of fascism, discrimination, indoctrination, oppression, and there’s this specific leitmotiv of eve’s apple that is just!!! i love it. nothing compares to fire lily’s world building.)

- found myself a cheerleader by wonhaebunny (bakugou… in a cheerleader costume!! it also centres on the remedial course squad which is superior, i love my girl camie)

- Hanafunki by PurplePersnickety (i Do Not like hanahaki fics on principle but this might be the only exception to that rule. it’s so funny and absurd. kiribaku.)

- Highway to Hell by Markovia (shindoubaku zombie apocalypse au, it’s so much fun + exploding zombies!!)

- I’m Not A Vampie (Unless You’re Into That) by Madame_Hatter (todoroki pretends to be a vampire to get into bakugou’s pants. it’s so fucking funny and so in character for todoroki’s dumb ass <3)

- Kirishima is Straight by milknife (i have never read a better piece of satire pls read this i implore you)

- Lazarus by drifting_manatee (a thriller in which bakugou gets buried alive and his friends have four hours to get him out before he suffocates. it’s very stressful but also very fun.)

- Men With Facial Hair Are More Attractive Than Men Without It by curovogel (a todobaku fic where todoroki gets a fucking moustache, and the sheer cursed-ness of the idea has me reeling)

- Nitro White Widow by Oceanbreeze7 (bakugou starts detaching from his class after kirishima and midoriya start dating and lemme tell u, this is fan-fucking-tastic)

- NyQuil™ by useless_donut (the pinnacle of rebound fics, in my opinion. kirishima rejects bakugou after he confesses, and shinsou is there to pick up the pieces)

- One Step Closer by tusslee (this fic focuses on the friendship between bakugou and uraraka, and his developing relationship with kirishima as bakugou learns to walk again. it’s one of the first fics i ever bookmarked)

- Serious-Talk by PurplePersnickety (really cute fic about conversations kirishima and bakugou have while in the war)

- Slope by sunfleurmoon (this fic. this FUCKING FIC. i love it with all my heart, it’s like bakugou whump central)

- Sold My Soul for a Weekend in Hell by The_Busy_Beee (minimal plot but this is so fucking funny—bakugou summons a demon (kiri) to have sex w and it’s such a good concept. midoriya is scandalised, todoroki is impressed)

- starbound by munchmuffins (todobaku 1980s roadtrip fic. todoroki is so completely and utterly in love with bakugou it isn’t even funny)

- stillness and sanctuary by wonhaebunny (this is the fic that started it all, it’s the reason i ship bakuiida. just read the author’s bibliography, actually, i can’t rec everything.)

- The Kids Will Be Alright, Eventually by NotWithThatAttitude (listen if you’re looking for a masterclass in how to write rape recovery, just read this fic. it’s handled with so much care and attention, and none of it ever felt forced)

- the most frustrating part by pyrrhicwildfire (karibaku in which class 1A (specifically denki) are a bunch of nosy nellies. they have 98 works but i suggest you read them all)

- this is how you become a martyr by @ihavenomorals-blog (the frame of this story was conceptualised on a discord server after i got her to read andromeda: death, she gave it life and good god did she do it well. i can’t recommend this enough :D)

- through different eyes by pyrrhicwildfire (it’s an unhealthy, one-sided bakudeku series that i 100% recommend)

- to have and to hold by aloera (the bakusquad are so fucking stupid in this fic i adore it. plus camie is featured, which always elevates a fic)

- Untouchable by groundz3r0 (kiribaku bodyguard au!! it hasn’t updated for a hot minute but it’s still a really good read)

- Weightless by drifting_manatee (when i feel like i need to cry, i simply read this fic)

- we’re just killin’ time by cenli (this todobaku fic perfectly captures the monotonous atmosphere of purgatory, the fic FEELS muted and grey. it’s also really funny)

- We’re on our own, trust me I know by supercrunch (an adorable bakudeku fic where bakugou’s a model and deku’s a pro hero. 10/10 would recommend)

- What Meets the Eye by stereonightss (there’s something so funny about bakugou and midoriya reconciling and using their combined abilities for nefarious purposes)

- What You Helped Me Realise by uncaringrose (fics where characters cut off toxic family members make me happy :). more kiribaku)

- yellow circles by gumrude (one of the prettiest kiribaku fics i’ve ever read)
