Ibn al-Qayyim رحمه الله said:

"The one whose soul craves disobedience but he leaves it for Allāh, those are the ones who Allāh tested their hearts with piety and for them is to forgiveness and a tremendous reward."

"The heart that loves Allah, loves being exhausted and exerting itself for Allah. Surely, Allah's love is not acquired through comfort!"

Imām Ash-Shawkāni [رحمه الله] said:

❝It is called Ramadān because it burns away sins; meaning, it burns them by way of righteous deeds.❞

Women (wives) are the cause of happiness of the heart; that’s why they’re also called the reason to the happiness of the soul!
