This isn't new. During Reconstruction, Black Americans held more congressional seats than at any point in the prior 90 years of American history. And white supremacists spent the next several decades tearing that down, through gerrymandering, poll taxes, and voter intimidation.

The audacity of escorting Black lawmakers out of their own chambers while dismantling Black political representation, and then telling us the courts aren't political, is breathtaking. These are the same courts they're counting on to make it stick.

I hate how every time I get sick I become this useless lump of flesh that just laments its own existence until I am fully recovered. I wish I could “just push through it” like others but I seriosuly cannot. It’s not something that has ever been available to me.

If I insist on rest even when the symptoms appear mild, pathetic. If I try to push through and get exhausted and cranky, pathetic. Why does illness always affect me so intensely? Why can’t I just function like normal?!

The worst part is I cannot even tell if I’m being overly dramatic, as others seem to manage illness with ease. Or, do I really experience illness in ways that are more sever than others? I legitimately cannot tell anymore. I feel gaslit by my own experiences vs everyone else’s.
