delia had made it a bit of a point to talk to demigods from each cabin, she had been saving the hades cabin for last due to her intimidation at the thought of the god of the underworld. but that had gone much better than she imagined, and now it only left a few cabins she hadnât met anyone from. this included the cabin next door, and as she exited cabin 18 to start for the mess hall for lunch, she saw someone sheâd heard plenty about but had never spoken with herself: jesse van houten. given what sheâd heard, there was a tick of hesitation. according to most, jesse wasnât really someone worth talking to. but, delia had never really been the type to take otherâs opinions on things. she liked to form those on her own. so she fell into step next to the son of tyche. if he were a jackass, then sheâd just avoid him from there.
â so, how exactly does manipulating luck work? seems like a really cool ability to have. â there wasnât much more interesting to delia than the abilities of the demigods of different godly parents. healing herself was nice, but it seemed incredibly passive in the face of manipulating luck or raising actual skeletons.
