how did their godly parent meet their mortal parent? : las vegas is exactly the kind of place you’d expect a goddess like tyche to scout out mortal lovers -- jasper’s dad, marco alvira, moved to las vegas when he turned eighteen and quickly found his groove in the casino scene. Though he began his time in vegas making a living at one of the notorious wedding chapels on the strip, it was his incredible amount of luck as a professional gambler of sorts that garnered the attention of tyche, who came to him for the first time on what would be the most successful night thus far, and for the duration of their whirlwind romance, his luck continued to increase until he was presented with a baby girl and no more contact from tyche.

She doesn’t have the emotional bandwidth for anything beyond that right now.
