"Me too, Buddy," he replied to Lucky's gaze.

Lucky looked up at the face and tilted his head, one ear flopping up. The Human didn’t have a scent so he got up and slowly approached, nose sniffing out any threats but he couldn’t.

Amelia smiled down gently at Lucky, lightly scratching behind his ears. “It’s okay, Lucky,” she cooed. “We’re going to visit my home, okay? Just while Clint’s working, okay?” Usually, Lucky would have just stayed at Clint’s apartment with Amelia checking in on him every few hours during the day, but Clint was going to be away for at least two weeks on this mission, and Amelia had a lot of meetings. She didn’t feel comfortable leaving Lucky alone in the apartment.

Lucky whined, having been lying down. The window was opened and the pup didn’t even stick his head out like usual. He wasn’t happy. He wasn’t home and his Master could be home soon!
