SHP005: “BACCO ep 6″ by Sean Ballard and Curtis Tinsley

BACCO is a collaboraation book created by the creators of Silver Hand Press. BACCO episodes 1-5 were actually pre-Silver Hand Press and pretty much the origin of how we got started. 1-5 are out of print but were essentially about a mustachioed man dealing with his inner-apocalypse. Episode 6 is divided into three mini stories: Stitches, Sims Death, and Sewer Doula. Stitches is your basic fun loving gruesome slapstick comedy and nightmare drawn on paper. Sims Death is something anyone who has ever played Sims can relate to. Just the documenting of a sick person harmlessly playing god and executioner. And lastly the first installment of a many many part series “Sewer Doula”. Sewer Doula is the tale of a sperm who is tragically ejaculated into a toilet and flushed after a lifetime of training and improving his reproductive skills, However, he survives and has no clue he isn’t where he is supposed to be. Stay tuned for how that develops!

SHP004 is UKTENA”S GIFT by Harry Coin. Harry is a staple of stl music and art. This 12 page mini is packed full of detail and meticulous insanity/genius workings. This book is a part 1 of 5 that will be released by Harry and us here at SHP. We are totally honored to have the opportunity to publish Harry and his warrior/botanist/spaceman’s adventures.

SHP003 is another from our “Obscure Classics” series. Artists Logan Clenney’s first book venture is called “Mission Macabre”. Mission Macabre is a mini full of minier minis. And they all have one thing in common: DEATH. Logan uses a lot of cross-hatching and heavy blacks to create a lot of depth to his stories of mortality painted in the light of a folded up note your best friend would pass to you in highschool.

SHP002 is Lindsay Weigel’s first book. Lindsay uses precise clean minimal drawings to convey the mundane feeling of everyday life in her books SOCKS AND ROBBERS. But don’t be fooled this story comes with a twist.

Let’s get this tumblr thing going. We at SHP have been busy since January, we just released our ninth book last night and it was great but before we get to that, over the next few days I want to feature the first 8 books,
