yall icb cql! xicheng fed us so well:
from ep 5 when jc was praising lxc to everyone saying "zewu jun is right!!" and lxc letting himself have a Moment where he smiled at that compliment from jc!!!
to episodes 21-24, where, after jc becomes sect leader of yunmeng jiang after his parents die, and he's still trying to find his footing bc he clearly has no experience or know how whatsoever, especially in front of all the other Established Sects who keep on taunting him about wwx's absence from Important Sect Meetings during the sunshot campaign, its lxc and lxc only that stands up for jc and is constantly always stood by his side or sat by his side, guiding him, whether it be on the battleground or the banquet in celebration after. and jc needed him, relied on his expertise, and out and out proclaimed that to him (the same jc who's too proud to ask anyone for anything!!), telling him that in the future coming days, he would like to seek more of it. and lxc was so sure of jc?? that jc had it in him to become a successful sect leader, even when jc perhaps never saw it in himself.
to episodes 25 - 27, where even all the smaller sects were starting to question yunmeng jiang's capabilities and question how good a leader jc actually is and his position as a sect leader, to the fact that jc was out and out called out in front of everyone in the floral banquet for being a pushover bc he essentially couldn't tame wwx, jc literally reached breaking point, so much so that he crushed his wine cup with his own bare hands, and lxc noticed that outburst. the next thing he does is speak up for jc, and once again, sit next to him and stand by him, when no one else does.
to finally, episodes 47 - 49, at guanyin temple, where lxc tells jc not to talk to jgy bc he will essentially emotionally manipulate him, and how lxc keeps on trying to soothe jc and tell him not to raise his voice or get angry at wwx bc jc's already injured, even though lxc himself is going through the worst betrayal from his own sworn brother. and as that said sworn brother's lies keep on manifesting, as every single act of betrayal keeps on being revealed one by one, leaving lxc reeling and wondering how he trusted jgy so blindly to the point where he had to ask him if he really was behind all that, jc tells lxc that it was him, but not once does he look down on lxc's naivety or character in blindly trusting jgy, like he may have done if it was someone else by calling them foolish, bc jc knows of lxc's nature and his good heart that lets him see the good in everyone (just like how lxc saw it in jc before anyone that one day he'd become successful). jc's anger is all directed at jgy in that moment, for his deception, and he keeps on looking at lxc again and again, a) so that lxc doesn't fall into believing what jgy says, and b) out of pure worry and concern bc this time the situation is reversed, where its lxc's back that's against the wall, not his own, and jc knows all too well how that feels.
