Heheheehe It's almost time for PYRITE again1 I will say, it feels weird to not have to keep up all the secrecy this time around like I did the first time I wrote this chapter, but it's also sort of liberating to just have it all out there? Universe Falls Chapter 52: Peridot in the Wild
Story Summary: When Dipper and Mabel arrive in Gravity Falls to spend the summer with their Grunkle Stan, they aren't expecting much excitement. At least until they meet Steven Universe, his friend Connie, and the Crystal Gems. And once they come together, the kids realize they're in for a summer unlike any other.
Gravity Falls is a town full of strange secrets, from magical creatures to baffling mysteries around every turn. And that's not even mentioning all of the secrets the Gems and Stan are keeping about their own dark pasts, secrets that the kids are determined to uncover, no matter the cost. But for as many friends they may make along the way, there are plenty more enemies waiting in the wings, both from this dimension and beyond.

Chapter Summary: Peridot is determined to settle the score with the Crystal Gems… if she can survive the weird wilderness of Gravity Falls first. “Log date 6 20 2. This is Peridot, reporting in. Despite my best efforts to escape, I’m still stranded on this doomed planet. All of my attempts at transmitting a message to my Diamond to expedite my transport back to Homeworld have ended in failure, in no small part because of the constant interference of those infernal Crystal Gems and their pesky human allies.” Peridot huffed a bitter sigh as she finally stole a glance up from her screen. Nothing had really changed since the last time she looked up: she was still surrounded by dense trees on all sides, still with the slowly sinking sun at her back, still stuck on Earth. And based on how things had been going for her lately, that wasn’t bound to change any time soon. “Unfortunately, it seems as though the planet’s warp system is no longer a viable option for getting around anymore. I have reason to believe that those traitors are using it to follow me around. As if taking down my ship and making off with my escape pod wasn’t bad enough…” A sharp yelp slipped out as Peridot stumbled over a stray rock in her path, only narrowly managing to catch herself before she hit the ground. It wasn’t the first time this had happened during this trek either. And chances were, it wasn’t going to be the last either. “I’ve found that I have no choice but to travel on foot. Literal foot, ever since those Crystal Gems stole my other gravity connector. All the same, I’m determined to press on and get off this shameful excuse for a planet before the Cluster finally wipes it from existence once and for all.”

Any chance of a Minijen Pipeline Update soon?
I mean I can offer one off the cuff right here. Peridot in the Wild is done and will be out very soon (aka today). And once its out, I'm gonna be working on early S6 covers and notes before moving onto Pyrite. I still plan on opening commissions, probably later on in the month as I'm taking a little time off work around the 4th of July so I figured that's as good a time as any to do them. Other than that, it's really just business as usual with UF. Trying to finish up S5 soon so we can move onto the (very long) barn arc of S6. Honestly, we aren't really too terribly far from completely new UF chapters (aka getting past the rewrites). I think last time I counted, we're about 20 or so chapters away from RMD, and once we get past that, we're basically past the rewrites, which is wild tbh I can't wait

We’ve seen the diamonds completely Gush over Steven when ever he comes to homeworld, but what about when Dipper or Stonemason arrive in UFF? I’d imagine that none of them would give a shit about Mabel since they thought Connie was Steven’s ‘pet’ at first
So blue doesn’t really give a shit about either of them and white barely gives a shit about stonemason since she was involved in “creating” him a little but even then. Tbh dipper and stonemason will primarily only be interacting with yellow during that trip, since they need her to fix dippers broken arm and all and I have a few interesting ideas in mind for that interaction. I think those three would have quite a lot to talk about in the uff era, and I do think yellow will express her remorse for what she did to both of them. And yet that’s an apology neither of them are really going to accept for like, obvious reasons. I can’t talk too much about all that I have planned for uff Homeworld bound but it will be… interesting to see it all play out to say the least
This is my opinion, but I still don’t like the idea of Dipper and Mabel’s Mom being described as overbearing and controlling of both her children, and is even implied to be homophobic. It just doesn’t seem right at least to me. And for what? Just so that both Steven and Dipper have a similar problem to their respective moms?
I mean that’s a valid opinion but tbh I do plan on doing way more with the idea than that, particularly tying back to how I develop both Dipper and Mabel as characters and how their life back in California ties into that development. But at the end of the day it’s just what I decided I wanted to write, you don’t gotta like it 🤷♀️
