So this is the official-offical follow up to the housing situation I had last year I had asked everyone for help with.

[ADDITIONAL UPDATE: We have asked family from both sides for assistance. The side that can help, will not. (Yay for sibling bs). The side of the family that would help, cannot.]

We have two months left before our house is done with the nonprofit!! Yippie!!! This means after years of housing instability we would finally have something permanent to call our own for myself and my son!

But we need help getting the small down payment and closing costs together. We still have money saved from when we got help last year that will be going to it and moving costs, but I am asking for help one more time. We've been driving ourselves ragged getting the volunteer hours done and the money has been harder to get together.

I'm currently sick somehow, my body has tapped out and it's protesting basically everything but sleep or laying in bed. I'm having to even push myself to eat.

We also have my cars yearly registration coming up and ran out of the Electric Bill Funding that was covering our electric costs this month, so even extra money we could've had is going to be eaten up. In addition, the stuff I usually have available for extra funds doesn't seem to be pulling through this month so that is also hitting us.

I wanted to share progress pictures of the house, too. They just put cabinets in and we got to pick out flooring and counter tops last week.

All shares and donations are helping us secure this, once this is secure we'll be essentially set and secure in a way we weren't before and wouldn't be in another situation.

Habitat works with our income so our mortgage is not only going to be 0% but our payments won't be more than 33% of what we bring in, ever. And because the mortgage is through Habitat or one of Habitat's partnerships, even if we struggle with payment later there's a lot of leniency than there would be with a traditional home buying contract.

This home can give everyone in my family their own space, which we haven't had in many, many years. As a caregiver to my mom (disabled) and single parent (disabled, Trans, Queer), a space where everyone has breathing room and their own personal space would be a huge stress reliever for all of us.

I'm trying to keep pushing but it's a very step uphill battle with the climbing heat and my autoimmune issues acting up. I've been fighting a pretty heavy depression for over a month now and the stress of this has made it even heavier.

Please even if you can't donate: sharing is the best way to help us because that means more eyes on it who could help.

None of the funds are transfered yet. They're all sitting there until we at least total the 5k which between what's in savings and the donations were a touch over halfway there!!! We need right $2500 and the rest on GFM was for moving costs and paying help since both adults are disabled.

Then AL AND VINCENT FINALLY HAVE IT FIGURED OUT (MAYBE?). I can now see them pretending to be normal while being aware the other person is possessed and scheming together about how to keep them away for good. But can also imagine (Al especially) interacting more with their possessors in their minds and playing couple’s therapist lmao. If Alastor does not kill Al first because I genuinely am still extremely concerned about that lol (especially after Alastor faded away from the body talking about basically not wanting to exist anymore – like he would so take that out on the alt universe version of himself???)

Idk I’m just talking into the void because I can’t leave a comment rn but I’m SO NERVOUS (Vincent also totally gonna miss his New Years broadcast). But so hopeful the boys can start getting mad at the demons and not each other lol. I can’t wait til the next chapter <3.

Because this is an ask, I’ll actually end it with a question lmao:

1. Would we ever get any Vox/Alastor friendship flashbacks like we saw some early Vincent /Al?

2. Will someone from the hotel EVER CHECK ON ALASTOR THIS POOR MAN IS LOSING HIS MIND????

"Alastor feeling angry that another perfect version of himself is the one that HIS Vox wants" - exactly that! along with his burning envy and the fact that he thinks that al has everything he doesn't - a /friend/ he trusts and loves dearly, morals, a living, healthy mother, a good childhood and life. he feels as though his existence is a reminder that the universe failed him and favors a variant of himself. when i was writing him, i wondered how i would feel if i had a much shittier background that scared me for life and ruined my future relationships, and then saw a different dimension with a version of myself that had none of that and what i would consider a "perfect life". i would also be pissed as fuck!

i could talk about their confirmation for forever they are both so wrong and yet so right and it’s so complicated trying to find a way for both of them to be satisfied with what they have aaaa but anyway here are the answers to your questions!

I did want to write a friendship flashback sometime in the story! I even started writing it before scrapping it completely because i didn’t like it and felt as though it was slowing the story down. so currently i am waiting for the right, relevant moment to include it, that is, if i do decide to include it at all

(Also! Based on all other evidence Alastor is perfectly willing to put in effort and work to accomplish a goal he wants to achieve, the hotel literally started falling apart the moment he left. Lazy he is not.)
