The funniest part abt the war machine destruction scene in TTATC is that. Tack wasn't even aiming for the machine. He was aiming for Zigzag's head. Zigzag just happened to move out of the way last second and the tack fired wound up ricocheting off of a bunch of shit and hit his horse in the ass, which made him fall, cutting a rope on the machine with his spear and setting off that whole impeccably-animated shitshow.
A lot of people online (and some cuts of the film tbf) frame it like Tack was intentionally aiming right for the war machine and set off its destruction with his sniper-like aim, but... this was all just a happy accident, launched by an act of pure spite. Which probably explains why Tack looked so flabbergasted by it in the end.
