It's based on her fic, Caffeinated, which was inspired by a convo on the discord! I knew exactly what to draw once I got the prompt!

The Crows Do NOT rule Antiva no matter how much they want to pretend they do. They keep the King in CHECK! They aren't the secret king, they're the dagger against the king's throat. They do NONE of the diplomacy, have few to no official ties to the actual government because they act like they're above it.

The Crows are rotten from the inside out, and the infighting ensures that theres no cohesion or agreement. Then when someone disagrees, often murder follows. That's not.... that's not how you solve diplomacy issues.

They're honestly EXTREMELY lucky that the Antaam was the first thing to invade. It could have been way WAY worse. The Butcher actively cares about the city. If it had been any other Qunari commander, the whole of Treviso could have been razed just to spite the Crows.

For an organization/system/country like this to work, you have to have 3's. The face, the might, and the shadow. Antiva only has two of those because the Crows interfere. An active army would put the Crows in check, and they don't like that. Yet BECAUSE of the Crows and lack of a standing army, things KEEP happening to the detriment of the country. The Antaam invasion and the possible blighting during the game.
