Made a Gryffindor scarf for my friend. The scarf is based on the design by Not Your Average Crochet and the yarn is actually imported from Ireland. It’s about 8 feet long and super warm since the yarn is about 20% wool. I’m so happy it was finally finished, since I’ve been putting it off for the past year :P

For Xmas this year, I decided to customize some t-shirts this year. My friends LOVE Star Wars and League of Legends, so I found a few images online and created stencils out of them. Here’s just a few examples of ones I created! I also made a stormtrooper one as well as a Valkyrie Diana one that I forgot to takes pictures of :P
Another New York Comic-Con has passed, and this year I decided to go as Morgana from League of Legends. My friend went as Kayle :)
I made my wings using the instructions from this lovely site and instead of using real feathers I used foam instead.
The rest of the costume was handmade except the hat and the oven mitts. I was able to cobble all this together 2 weeks before the convention (which meant no sleep lol).
If you are wondering, yes, those are paper plates disguised as wings that are on my friend’s back. She was super creative in making her costume and it turned out amazing! Her armor is made out of foam and paper mache.

I made a small baby blanket for a friend of mine who will have baby boy in a couple of months. It was super fun and easy and I really loved how it turned out! It's about 32x32 inches.
Lion Brand Yarns has a wonderful pattern for this project. I used their Wool-Ease Thick & Quick Navy yarn and Marble yarn. I also used Loops&Threads Cozy Wool yarn in the colors Stone and Seastorm.
I decided to try and make a couple of useful totes in-between my afghan square project. I have plenty of yarn I needed to get rid of, and I found this awesome tote pattern on Lion's Brand Yarn site (http://www.lionbrand.com/patterns/L10485.html) First tote was made from Vanna White's Glamour Yarns, and second tote was made with Loops & Threads Impeccable Yarns :)
This is my first ever crochet block! My friend's Girl Scout troop needs about 12 crochet/knit squares, and I wanted to help out. I decided to use Red Heart pink, red and white yarn. Pattern provided by SmoothFox on Ravelry :)
Made this for my friend's upcoming birthday. She loves Bioshock, so I thought this gift would be appropriate :)
I decided to make the Undertow Vigor because it looked challenging and fun. I started with a glass bottle purchased at a local craft store and painted it blue. From there, I molded polymer clay on the bottle and baked the entire thing. I painted the octopus initially with acrylic silver paint, than created an 'antique' look with a darker silver. Then I drew the octopus symbol with marker and painted it. Finally (after I sculpted the cork topper as well) I covered it all in paint varnish to seal the colors.Â
Materials used: FolkArt Acrylic Metallic Silver, True Blue, Sunflower and Black paints, Sculpey III white clay, Copic Black sketch marker, and a square-shaped glass bottle.Â

Following my previous Bob’s Burgers theme, this is my attempt at making a Tina doll. I designed the pattern on my own :) She is made with Lily cotton yarns and I used 6mm safety eyes.
How important or unimportant are these two things to you in superhero comics?
I ask because I have been told more than once when writing a well-known character that ‘the readers HATE it’ when they have a romance plot.
It’s felt, for example, that many readers will hate anyone Wonder Woman…
This is a wonderful amazing question that really needs to be addressed. I don’t think romance ruins the stories, I’ve been running a blog for 4 or 5 years that dedicates itself to relationships in the nerdy world. I’ve never felt that relationships ruin story. I will agree, sometimes it feels a little forced, like Mary Jane and Peter, but on the other end of the spectrum, some comics just wouldn’t of been the same without it, flip of the coin Gwen Stacey was an amazing love intrest for Peter. And women and love stories, I will admit that sometimes it is tough to see any of the more badass women in comics find guys worth it. But that is why I like relationships like Lois and Clark or Bruce and Dianah so much; Lois is such a badass that the only man capable of winning her heart had to be able to lift her off her feet. Dianah and Bruce I feel very similar about, but twisted. We all know Batman is almost unstopable, an intelegent God wouldn’t even try to pick a fight with him, you have to crazy just to do so, he is practically an unstopable force that has more then once proven he can take down other Gods like Superman, and yet here comes Wonder Woman, the only woman badass enough to really stop the Dark Knight, and not just woman, anyone; she is the only one I’ve ever seen make the God Damn Batman kneel and stop what he was doing because she told him to(and beat him up). Super Heroes will always have relationship issues as long as human being continue to have relationship issues, because no matter how super they are, they are still only human, except Bruce, he’s a Bat.
