The speakers are Allen Packwood, Director of Churchill Archives Centre & Fellow of Churchill College, and Nigel Hamilton, Senior Fellow at the John W. McCormack Graduate School of Policy Studies, University of Massachusetts, Boston, whose new book is The Mantle of Command: FDR at War, 1941-1942, to be published in May 2014. It is the first of two books about FDR as war leader. More info on them for the participants box: Allen Packwood has worked at the Centre since 1995 and was appointed Director in 2002. He was co-curator of “Churchill and the Great Republic” at the Library of Congress (2004) curated a Churchill exhibition at the Morgan Library in New York in 2012. Nigel Hamilton has written biographies of John F. Kennedy, General Bernard "Monty" Montgomery, and Bill Clinton, among other subjects. He is a Senior Fellow in the McCormack Graduate School, University of Massachusetts-Boston, and first president of the Biographers International Organization (BIO).
