always a delight to find out that a goofy person is actually also very sincere
the true duality of man is silly-earnest
“source?” i can feel it in me bones
you have no competition. don’t disrespect your potential by comparing yourself to other people. acknowledge your own blessings.

I noticed that the same trait that one person finds annoying is something others will find endearing or admirable. for example, a funny and confident person can be judged by a few people as annoying or loud. but others will admire your confidence and ability to make them smile and laugh! shyness can be seen as apathetic and boring, but others will enjoy your quiet company, and admire your amazing ability to listen & say thoughtful words. whether it’s due to insecurity or incompatibility, there will always be someone who will dislike you for being a certain trait, but there are so many more people who will love you for it. if you feel the need to hide and isolate yourself, it means you haven’t been lucky yet or havent met enough people. it does NOT mean you’re not lovable!!!!!!!! I promise!!!
scrolling thru my tiny little blog every few months to remind myself i am indeed sexy and cool with inmaculate taste and a healing journey where i always feel surprising comfort in the lessons i often forget and repeat with time

“Your identity emerges out of your habits. You are not born with preset beliefs. Every belief, including those about yourself, is learned and conditioned through experience. More precisely, your habits are how you embody your identity. When you make your bed each day, you embody the identity of an organised person. When you write each day, you embody the identity of a creative person. When you train each day, you embody the identity of an athletic person. The more you repeat a behaviour, the more you reinforce the identity associated with that behaviour. In fact, the word identity was originally derived from the Latin words essentitas, which means being, and identidem, which means repeatedly. Your identify is literally your “repeated beingness.” Whatever your identity is right now, you only believe it because you have proof of it. […] The more evidence you have for a belief, the more strongly you will believe it.”
— James Clear, Atomic Habits
having to come to terms with the fact that love is not an everlasting performance in which you attempt to retain the attention of your significant other but rather a release of control and putting faith into them and trusting them to choose to stay with you no matter what you have to offer
to love and be loved is to rest
