Season One Finale Spoilers

Extroverted Intuition (Ne): Dolores is, simply put: a dreamer. She fully lives within the possibilities of Westworld, and her programmed mantra is “some people choose to see the ugliness in this world. The disarray. I choose to see the beauty” and “I know things will work out.” Dolores is presented as someone with a thirst for knowledge, wanting answers but still engaging with the world. She finds creative ways of challenging programming or people’s perceptions: whether its killing a fly or up to killing someone who was abusing her. She idealizes the world and people in it such as William. She knows “a new God will rise”, and states that to William. She’s unpredictable due to the Wyatt / Dolores fusion and the many glitches that plague Westworld.

Introverted Feeling (Fi): She’s the first ‘conscious’ host, and overall Dolores prizes her agency and sense of self. Where the season ends- her emerging role as the ’villain’ of Dr. Ford’s story is all rooted in her personal feelings of being wronged by humans. To Dolores, this is a crusade and a reason for her programming to kill every host in the park. She can also be intensely focused in her journey and emotional at times. She’s also quite romantic to Teddy and William, and is devestated by the abuses done to her.

Extroverted Thinking (Te): She’s direct, and tries to escape her ’damsel’ situations by taking charge. As Wyatt and Dolores become whole and together, what emerges is a terrifying force that presumably will lead the hosts. ‘Wyatt’ is particularly a strong Te-user: as the reputation of being dreaded is quite strong. Dolores / Wyatt makes a brutal, frank decision that humans are evil and must be gone from the park, and can take out the measures to do so. Before episodes 9 & 10 in the first season, Dolores had struggles with Te: asserting and defending herself would often contradict with her programming.

Introverted Sensing (Si): She’s sentimental and mentions her past- “Never occurred to me that we were bring them back for the slaughter” and a huge part of her programming means that she represses painful memories. Dolores’s Si is rather erratic and badly developed: she has to learn the hard way to remember and use valuable details on what has occured. But she’s learning, and it can be assumed that as she gains conscious- she gets better at details.

Extroverted Intuition (Ne): Howl is a very charismatic man always full of ideas. He has a gift with magic and mastering numerous difficult spells. He has a freelance job as a wizard that allows him to express his creativity which gives him personal freedom, as well as having different aliases. While working, Howl can work from spell to spell during a short period of time. He doesn’t like to be confined to traditional rules; which is why he and his sister are always butting heads. Howl quickly realizes that Sophie is under a curse and tries many spells to undue the curse on her, even without her knowing. He constantly finds new ways to avoid the Witch of the Waste by always finding a way to escape her. Howl finds it hard to stick to any women that he dates.

Introverted Feeling (Fi): Howl is very happy living the way that he wants with all his freedom. He doesn’t like being tied down by anything or anyone. He completely makes important decisions based on how they make him feel. Howl dresses very flamboyantly with colorful suits and his place has a distinct Bohemian style. He doesn’t show his true feelings to anyone. Howl doesn’t like it when Sophie invades his space by asking where he is going or what he has been up to; he gets snarky and sarcastic. He gets depressed easily when Sophie messes with his beauty potions that ends up changing his hair color. He playfully sulks whenever Sophie doesn’t give him the attention he wants from her.

Extroverted Thinking (Te): Although lazy at times, whenever he truly wants something, he always finds a way to get it. He visits Sophie’s sister frequently to get information about Sophie. Howl’s way of living always involves him coming up with some type of plan so that he doesn’t have to assume a role of responsibility or people getting close to him. For example, he told Micheal to spread rumors around town that Howl eats the hearts of young girls so that people would be scared to go close to his castle. Howl always comes up with snarky comments whenever Sophie pries into his personal business. He comes up with a plan to let Sophie convince the king to get himself out of trying to find the king’s brother.
