It was a low blow, especially given that it was flawed, but it hurt nonetheless.
“I had a family, one that cared about me. I wouldn’t expect you to know what that’s like, your brother just follows you around like a puppy dog ‘cause he can’t do anything on his own.” Ava could play that game too, if that’s how Tyreen wanted to do it.
“Where’s the rest of your family, huh? Your loving parents?”
