Saw this meme today on pintrest and I thought "mhm this looks familiar" and then after a few seconds I was like "OH SHIT THIS IS FAMILIAR"

so... Gaides and lentelman... I present to you... The girlhood spectrum:

Even looking purely at the canon, her take on motherhood is incredibly nuanced. She loves and grieves for her daughters, that is undeniable, but all her tears are punctuated by the hubris that led them to their deaths to begin with. A hubris that was inflicted upon them by Alcina herself, same as the names she picked for them.

And thus we have Alcina breaking things as she mourns Bela's death in one scene, and her boiling it all down to "Ethan has proven himself too much for my daughters to handle" and "Bring me that man's head if indeed you are my daughter" immediately after. Maybe if she hadn't sought revenge and simply let Ethan escape, Cassandra and Daniela would still be alive (maybe even Bela, since she was only hunting Ethan in search of Alcina's praise), but her wounded pride over her damaged property (which she nonchalantly clumps her daughters as being part of) blinds her. And when they are all dead, what is her pain centered on? The fact that HER efforts in raising them have gone to waste. The fact that HER bloodline is brought to an unfashionable end.

I post nudies not only because they're fun and spicy and it's nice to think they might bring others pleasure, but also because my body IS odd, it IS unusual, and it both helps people with similar bodies see them in a more neutral or positive light, as well as giving some folks an idea of what they might want their body to look like--how do you know unless you see it? Unless it's out there! And at 36! So don't think it's too late for you, you're too old, too short, too weird, that you like feminine things too much. I always advocate to think less about what you are, genderwise, and more about what you want, what will make you happy.
