You’re the first girl to ever make me wonder what it’s like to hold you. Close and safe in my arms. You’re the first girl to genuinely make me feel anxious as I get ready for our dates but breaks that anxiety with a simple smile that says i’m happy to see you. You’re the first girl to really want to know me for who I am beyond the things I was programmed to say. You’re the first girl to make me wait for everything and not take for granted all the time we have together. You’re the first girl my friends have genuinely liked just by hearing me talk about you. You’re the first girl my mom has been excited about me getting to know. You’re the first girl that’s asked we take things slow making me beam from feeling understood in wanting to do things right not fast. You’re the first girl to make me think that maybe one day I will fully get to know you and have the pleasure to love everything you have to offer. Though even if that doesn’t happen you’re the first girl to truly help me see there are amazing girls out there and for that I can’t be more thankful you walked into my life.
