"Boss? Well, My roommate is technically 5 and I refuse to answer to a 5-y-o. Mom's a no go, Dad's a joke. Guess I'd better call the boss." ((Didn't even think about landlord. Of course, in her defense, she was already squatting in empty apartments by then when her mom was otherwise occupied.))

She fumbled a bit, glad she used her same sequence for security as an old address. "How do these things work-- there's no home button! umm... ah-HAH! That seems to be right!" She cleared her throwt, the seriousness coming back as it hit her that she was likely going to have to hide from CPS to avoid some awkward questions. "Umm Hello? @brucetwayne-official ... I uh... I might need a week or so of emergency leave. Is getting de-aged covered by a doctor's note? If I need one, I can prob'ly hitch down to Doc Thompkins' clinic from here. Alley's pretty quiet this time o' day." The girl's normally blue eyes clouded with tears and her voice squeaked slightly, a bit higher in pitch than she'd adapted to as she tried to remember how the "calling in" hotline worked. She couldn't quite remember why he'd be labeled under the nickname of Daycare's Frequent Flier, but felt safe guessing it just meant he was a many time Dad. At least she'd remembered to check the listings by the door and saw the bus was out of commission after the most recent dispute with Sionis' creeps.
