While the article itself is nice and elaborates for sure, I can't help but laugh at this (I guess effective) attention grabber because... He's Black? Like it basically says "He's like Sammie except he plays a ukulele and doesn't deal with vampires". Okay well based on the information given, I can only ascertain one more general similarity then 𤣠anyway because I know y'all love some Mon Rovia-
Born in war-torn Liberia but raised in the United States, singer-songwriter Mon RovĂŽa is making waves with his his âAfro-Appalachianâ music.

When you hear about the Epstein files and you can't understand how people can be so monstrous, keep in mind that every monstrosity that happened on Epstein's island was legal just two lifetimes ago.
A monster kidnaps a barely pubescent girl, rapes and impregnates her, then traffics the baby. That seems like a horror story when you hear about it happening on Epstein's island. But it used to be legal. They used to do this openly. It was not only legal to do this, but also illegal to try to rescue the victims. The police enforced that. The police were originally created for the main purpose of enforcing that.
Rich people acting entitled to do whatever they want? Large numbers of people engaged in human trafficking? Police making the most monstrous people look like saints compared to them? That's nothing new. That's our country's history.

You know how long I've been looking for something like this!?
To any sketch artist out there too.
[Image ID: a black woman wearing a plaid shirt and red bandana around her head. Her braided hair is coming out of the top od her head and falling in front of her. Text says "Did you know there's a black-owned stock photo company nappy.co that provides stereotype-free images of black people" /end]
the other day i was trying to find reference images of black people for art things but all i was finding were black-and-white images of white people! love this!!
Also! They accept submissions. If youâre a photographer and want to contribute, the button is on the bottom left of the webpage.Â
Aw heck yeah!!
Hi, if you donât know me Iâm F.M. and run this blog previously known as crippl-hacker. Iâve been couch surfing and homeless since October 2024 when I left Job Corps but Iâve run out of couches to surf on and am going to be staying in shelters soon.
My dad brought me to Utah thinking his family would help but my grandmother is transphobic and refused to let me stay for long enough to get on my feet. The rest of my family has sided with her.
I am a semi-ambulatory wheelchair user with an ileostomy and TBI so managing carrying all my medical stuff plus survival supplies is a chore.
I am currently broke and needing supplies that will help me at the shelter and managing getting around. Iâve also since lost my push rims in my various moves around.
If you are in a position to help financially I have an Amazon wishlist that ships to my sisterâs house where she can hold onto stuff for me.
Check out my list on Amazon

âGoonbaitâ and itâs just photos of teenage girls and women in their early 20s smiling and being happy because theyâve each just accomplished one of the biggest moments of their respective careers
Itâs not even because her style is alternative or whatever bc they were saying the same thing about the other girls above itâs literally just that young women canât be seen by these people as anything but a vessel for their sexual desire to the point that they canât even see a 20 year old make a silly face while smiling during one of the happiest moments of her life without being like she is clearly doing all this just to make me horny.
None of this shit's going to get better until all of you realize there's nothing that makes you incapable of being a bigot, and there is ESPECIALLY no relationship to womanhood that prevents you from being misogynist.
Every single day I see someone go "but I can't possibly think or act in misogynistic ways, I literally am/was a woman!" and it's the dumbest shit I've seen, every single time. You, yes you, the person reading this, are capable of misogyny, just like you're capable of every other kind of bigotry, just like every single person on earth is.
And if you're reading this and you think "yeah, you tell those losers!" I'm not talking about them, whoever they might be. I'm talking about you.

Fascists don't want kids to learn sex education because while they say it's to prevent access to "lewd" content and "alternative lifestyles", aka other people existing that aren't cishet, in reality it helps kids prevent being assaulted.
Oh, hey, a perfect example of how right wing fearmongering about queer people and âprotecting children from the Dreaded Smutâ are inexorably linked.
"Sex ed protects kids from predators" is also part of the reason fascists are against it. Look at how MAGA are trying to rehabilitate Epstein and saying shit like "partying with Epstein isn't a crime!" Look at how many prominent far-right figureheads were close to Epstein in the first place, and how Epstein himself was a eugenicist. Not all predators are fascists, but all fascists are predators.
Fascists hate sex ed because it reduces their ability to prey on women and kids. The sleaze is the point.
Good time to mention that the Unitarian Universalist church has a sex education program called Our Whole Lives (OWL) and many of the resources are available for free online. The program is designed for age-appropriate discussions of bodily autonomy, gender, sexuality, sexual health, and all forms of sexual and non-sexual intimacy starting in kindergarten and continuing through to adulthood. If you or someone in your life is in need of comprehensive, compassionate sex ed it's a great place to start.
Also, @hellyeahscarleteen is the Tumblr face of the excellent Scarleteen website, which answers questions on those same topics and is a perfect self-study aide.
