Classic wop

Tory Lanez really made an album to profit off the violence he perpetuated against Megan Thee Stallion while simultaneously saying he wants her back. Oh and he also confirmed he and his team were the ones leaking stories to the blogs that Meg had to deny. He is an abusive, gaslighting piece of shit and fuck him and anyone who listened to that trash

When we speak of real ones, we must always include JoJo.
Do you happen to know anything about working in music abroad, specifically in Europe? Just a curious undergrad here and not sure how to get started with research. đ thank you!
So: Germany is a great place to go if you want to perform abroad. They have a ton of opera houses that receive funding from the government, so they put on a LOT of shows every year. Itâs called the âFest System,â if you want a google term.Â
The trick is that A) you need to speak German, B) you need to learn music incredibly quickly, and C) youâre not going to be making bank. However, you will make enough to live on.Â
The book âWhat the Fach?" by Phillip Shepherd is a great resource for this!! It covers Germany, Austria, and Switzerland, and focuses on singers.Â
Iâm not as familiar with instrumental stuff, but thereâs a greater demand in general for most instruments than there is for singers. Iâd talk to your professors if youâre interested in that - theyâll know a lot more about how to get your particular instrument abroad!
I wanted to download We Will Rock You, butâŚ

WHAT THE FUCK IS THIS OMG
I always troll my friends with this
This sounds like itâs being sung by a passive-aggressive 1920s radio host wearing a very dapper suit and threatening me with a cartoonishly small pistol, bearing a large grin on his face that indicates that he will not hesitate to put a hole in my forehead, not for a second
MUSIC RESOURCES GALORE
So I get a TON of requests for stuff like ear training apps and sheet music sites and music history help. So here is a GREAT BIG LIST of resources for the average music major to use as they need! I tried to find free stuff when I could - some of the apps might cost a couple dollars, but thatâs all. Everything has been recommended by one of you, or vetted by me! This is cross-posted to my Resources page, too!

Lemonade is for Black mothers who bury their sons. Lemonade is for the Black girls who remained silent for so long that it broke them. Lemonade is for the laughter when the victim is a Black woman. Lemonade is the Black love that shatters but somehow survives. Lemonade is Black women accepting that we are not responsible for what he did. We are not less beautiful because life scars us more. Lemonade is for the Black girls who arenât silent and still end up broken. Lemonade is the acceptance of Black girls and women being more beautiful, vulnerable and deserving than we are broken. Lemonade is Black women letting the World know that we are not invincible pussy popping non aging 8th wonders of the World. We are human. We are here. Our pain is valid and so are our voices.
I also want to add my new perception: Lemonade is a story about Black women protecting our mothers even if it means admitting the mistakes of our fathers. I feel like that album was for Tina (BeyoncĂŠâs mother). Her father publicly cheated and got exposed. Iâm not about to go into every detail. I really donât think it was 100% about her and Jay-Z. I think it was watching what her father did, what he threw away, the amazing woman he had. It could also be a warning to Jay to not follow her fatherâs footsteps because as women we often subconsciously pick men like our fathers.
Happy Anniversary Lemonadeđ

Good Resources for Musicians
Iâm celebrating 1000 followers! Hereâs my great big list of music resources.
Books: These are the print resources I find myself coming back to when it comes to being a musician. Donât feel pressured to spend money, though, most of mine were presents!
Lessons from a Streetwise Professor
The Savvy Musician
How I Made $100,000 My First Year as a Piano Teacher
The Musicianâs Journey
Effortless Mastery: Liberating the Master Musician Within
The Art of Asking: How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Let People Help
Apps
PanoTuner: Thatâs not a mispelling. Itâs also my favorite tuner app. It works best with guitars, and itâs sensitive to other noise, but it looks neat and does the job and itâs FREE
UltimateGuitar: Itâs 3 bucks, but it also has all the tabs ever, usually with multiple versions, which is great.
Pro Metronome: Itâs useful, itâs free to use, and it gets the job done!
Piano apps: Hereâs a list of the best ones - I keep a physical pitch-pipe with me for if Iâm not near a piano, so I donât have one. However, theyâre also cheaper than a $30 pitch pipe, which is a plus.
Online
Sheet music online: IMSLP is a life-saver for any classically-trained musicians out there. It has basically all of your rep that was published before 1950. Which is most of it.
Blank staff paper: You need staff paper? This place has it. You can basically set it up however you want, which is GREAT. Add all the clefs and key signatures and bar lines you want!
Online metronome: There are tons of metronomes online, but I like this one the best of the browser-based ones.
Music Theory/Aural Skills Help: Teoria is literally the best website ever. Go. Frolic. Do ear training exercises and practice music dictation.
www.MusicTheory.net: This website is great too! Thereâs also an app that you can get which looks super useful.
IPA Source: This is so so so so great for voice majors. They have IPA (international phonetic alphabet [In tÉĘł nĂŚ ĘĘ nÉl fo nÉ tIk ĂŚl fa bÉt]) for so many things.
Similarly, IPA.typeit is great for doing anything IPA related electronically.
Finale NotePad: Free composition software for you Comp majors.
Noteflight: More free composition stuff, online this time!
General Life Things
Mint.com: This is a great website/app for people who need to keep track of every penny they spend - or for people who would just like to spend fewer pennies. It hooks up your financial accounts to your Mint account - itâs completely safe, no worries! - and lets you see everything in one place. Student loans, credit cards, savings accounts, STOCKS (!); you can see your entire financial picture in one place.
Google Calendar: Do it. Become like me. Schedule out everything you do. It makes your free time that much sweeter when you know youâre actually free and not supposed to be doing something, because you (gasp!) scheduled in time to not do anything!
Bullet journals: I just started one this semester, and I have to say, as fond as I am of my NYPL planners, the bullet journal system works really well for me. Iâm still using my NYPL planner, just because itâs easier for me to write down future events there, but for daily use I just really like it.
This thermos is really nice! I have a wonderful one from Teavana, but it was a birthday present and more expensive. Keep yourself hydrated, and keep your voice in good shape!
Coffee!: Mocha lattes are my favorite. Here is my favorite recipe.
The Financial Diet: This website is definitely aimed a little more at the mid-twenties crowd, but it gives good advice and is very #Aspirational, especially for us music majors who arenât expecting to make the big bucks.
Breathe (app): Iâm trying to meditate occasionally before I practice, because Iâve found it helps relax me and my throat. This one is really nice, and FREE.
