I was at work, so I couldn't stop and take pictures on my phone all the time, and I can't show you how dirty it was. The laminator has 6 cylinders: 2 cool grey ones, 2 hot red ones and 2 hots blue ones. I had to wait a little not to burn my hands. See the black on the red cylinder? That's almost nothing. The bottom red cylinder was black, caked in a 1mm-thick layer of filth.

I tried several things to rub it off, and different solvents (one of them acetone, which melted my vinyl gloves on my fingers, don't recommend), but the solution ended up being scraping it off with the blunt side of a cutter blade (cutting side toward my fingers, so I wore three gloves). It took a lot of arm-killing work, but I ended up with this:

It was such a labor! But so much fun. It's insane the number of parts in there! You understand why it breaks down often (we've had a lot of issues with MB2150s lately).

I couldn't identify most of the parts, but I learned a lot, and it was so satisfying when I managed to unscrew something and pull it loose. Quite erotic, ngl.

I'm keeping those and the circuits in case they're useful someday. To make jewelry or to incorporate in my bookbinding.
