Dear Huddies, We wanted to let you know that this fundraiser was not solely our team's idea. ☺️ Several Huddies reached out to us asking if we could organize a fundraiser for Pride Month, and after some research, we chose Rainbow Railroad as the organization we'd like to support. We're grateful to be part of a community that cares so deeply about helping others. We weren't sure what to expect, so we set an initial goal of 1,000 CAD by the end of June. 🫣 Less than 24 hours later, we've exceeded that goal by 150%, raising 2,500 CAD. ❤️ Thank you to everyone who donated, shared, and spread the word. This was truly a community effort, and we're so grateful for your generosity. Because of your incredible support, we've increased our goal to 5,000 CAD. The fundraiser will continue until the end of June, and every contribution will help support Rainbow Railroad and the LGBTQIA+ community. 8/6 - The "take accountability crowd" swarmed social media

9/6 - Peloton panic

10/6 - Simu Liu + reports of similar incidents + people pointing out racism-motivated hate campaign against H takes over the narrative

11/6 - Off Campus releases a statement - discourse shifts to statement vs no statement from HR/C

12/6 - Hudson hits 4.5 million followers on Insta + News of multiple new award nominations + H. sends message through friends to the fans that he's fine

LET'S ALL TAKE A DEEP BREATH

This is the pattern, this is the news cycle. 3-8 days if we let it die. It doesn't move his engagement numbers. It's mostly a bubble in SM. So let's learn to be disciplined. Let's not feed the algorithm. Let's not reward clickbait. IGNORE. BLOCK. REPORT all negativity

Let's put out positive & inspiring posts too. I've seen some of us have started doing this so let's keep that going.

I understand the need to rant & express disgust or displeasure but let's balance it out.

I will like to know what about Hudson that draws you to him in the first place. Or if he inspires you to do better physically or mentally. Which of his short films is your favorite? Which scene of him in HR resonates with you? Which photos of him are your favourite? You know, stuff like that.
