Some cats in my life as of late.

I wish it wasn't so hard for me to do basic shit like going to work. Every night is just filled with intense nightmares that never let me rest.

When I wake up, the first thing I feel is dread. When I go to work, I'm so tense you'd think I had a gun to my head. Whenever I work from home, I feel like a piece of shit who's just faking it, even though I'm sat there stressed and shaking. It's just how my brain works, it's stupid.

Even when I get off work to 'relax' I feel like I'm not good enough, that my art is awful and I'm not doing enough

- learned how to paint

- learned how to knit

- got my first tattoos

- hit 2k

- found a haircut that suits me

- framed my art professionally for the first time

- cosplayed socially

- travelled with friends

- kicked self harm

- joined a gym

- kicked all toxic people from my life

- went to see Bohemian Rhapsody with a friend who's name is in the credits

- kept tarantulas for the first time

- learned more Japanese

- discovered my love for true crime

- Probably a ton more I can't remember, it's 2am

An artist’s duty, as far as I’m concerned, is to reflect the times. I think that is true of painters, sculptors, poets, musicians. As far as I’m concerned, it’s their choice, but I CHOOSE to reflect the times and situations in which I find myself. That, to me, is my duty. And at this crucial time in our lives, when everything is so desperate, when everyday is a matter of survival, I don’t think you can help but be involved. Young people, black and white, know this. That’s why they’re so involved in politics. We will shape and mold this country or it will not be molded and shaped at all anymore. So I don’t think you have a choice. How can you be an artist and NOT reflect the times? That to me is the definition of an artist.
