Let me just say... I am BEYOND emotional seeing this picture. As a black woman who has dreamed of being on broadway one day. Even dreamed of maybe playing Glinda but always saying it as a joke, like it would never happen. I look at this picture and I see history being made and feeling validated on SO many levels. This not only opens doors for black women but for all women of color who want to play this role on broadway. I remember in college I was talking to my Filipino friend who was singing so beautifully as Glinda and I was like “wow you could play Glinda one day!” And she’s like “no haha I don’t think I could I’m not white” and I said to her “they only say she’s blonde. You never know.” Just wow.

So I unexpectedly seen King Kong last night!! tbh if someone would’ve said to me “you’re gonna see King Kong the musical in 2019” I’d probably laugh cause it’s not the type of show I go for. Maybe I’ll put a mini review up later. But this is the only show I have been to so far where they encouraged the audience to get vids/ pictures of the bows! Everyone in my row was shook! It used to be more then two people but the numbers have now dwindled to TWO. Due to leaks, YouTube uploads, many many NFT violations people have left the boot community.

Because the two masters now left doing boots on broadway will be the ones filming FUTURE shows. We dont have a Bway Prom boot, Bway Beetlejuice, Bway Tootsie, Bway Hadestown. Future shows are kindof being put at risk. And this master is the only one that can get shows this difficult to film. The other one that managed shows like OOTI left. I have respected traders in the past, if they tell me not to post until a certain date I don’t and never have.
