6x20 - Alex kidnaps Hanna

7x01 - Alex talks to Hanna when she’s kidnapped, pretending to be young Spencer in a dream

7x02 - Alison is impregnated with Emily and Wren’s kids

7x07 - Alex burns Noels’ file, and we find out she has Arias’

7x10 - Alex pretends to be Spencer and kisses Toby ‘one last time’. Alex shoots Spencer and kidnaps Jenna

7x11 - The liars get the board game. Jenna is given the file about ‘endgame’ and this is when she smells her perfume

7x15 - we see Alex and Wren in the airport, but they are spotted by Ezra. Alex pretends to be Spencer and asks him not to tell anyone he saw them there. Aria meets with Sydney and begins to work with A.D.

Between 7x15-7x20 - Alex kills Wren

7x16 - Alex continues writing the Arcturis comic. She is drawing a headstone, and considering the only deaths this season were Wren and Yvonne, we can assume it is Wrens headstone, so he was most likely killed somewhere in 7x15 or 7x16.

7x18 - Alex sleeps with Toby

7x19 - Alex discovers who really killed Charlotte, the game is over.

7x20 - Alex returns a year later wanting to take Spencers’ life. She takes Mary from prison, reveals herself and her plans to Spencer, kidnaps Ezra and attends the wedding as Spencer. Her and Mary end up getting kidnapped by Mona and her boyfriend.

Also, did we ever figure out what the heck this was all about?  The burnt masks?  -A burning Hanna’s bobble head doll?  Bueller?  Bueller?

Okay, so Mona killed Charlotte. I have a lot of problems with how this was presented. Here’s a list:

1. The damn suitcase handle! That was such a huge issue in 6b, with Melissa acting all sketchy about it and someone nearly plowing down Emily in order to get it away from her. What the hell was that all about? Who would want it that badly unless it was the murder weapon?

2. The flowers that Mona had were bright purple. The flowers found with Charlotte’s body were pink and hadn’t bloomed yet. They don’t look marginally the same. And to add to that, why did Mona have those flowers in the first place? And why did they happen to be the same type of flowers that Alison had put out in her house that very evening?

3. Why was Mona trying to recreate the night she murdered Charlotte if she accomplished that the first time? She even says, “You’re not gonna trick me this time.” What does that mean? How did Charlotte trick her that night? That scene in the bell tower implied that Mona hadn’t actually succeeded in killing Charlotte and was trying to do it over.

4. This line makes no sense: “You needed me, just like you needed me to take care of Charlotte after all the terrible things she did. I’m sorry I messed that up. Nothing ever happens the way it’s supposed to with me.” What?! But Mona did kill Charlotte, so she did indeed “take care of her.” What is she talking about?

5. “Not only did you lose the game, but you lost the story,” Charlotte tells Mona. What does that mean? What story?

6. The timeline makes no sense. We know that at some point that night, before Charlotte died, Mona called her from the Two Crows, that was confirmed by Tanner and by a witness at the diner. So how did she know that Charlotte was going to be at the bell tower? Why did Charlotte even go to the bell tower? And what did Mona mean when she said that Charlotte met her there “because she had to”?

7. Charlotte’s body was wiped down before she was thrown from the bell tower, including any DNA under her fingernails. Where would Mona get the materials to do that? And what about that paper Spencer wrote about the woman who was murdered in exactly the same way that Charlotte was? Is that just supposed to be a really specific coincidence?

1. I believe Marlene addressed the big reason the suitcase handle was because AD was searching for any evidence/leads regarding Charlottes’ murder. I believe at this point AD was following Emily and was attempting to get the “evidence” from her. Which could be why Mona mentions that the police searched the bell tower and couldnt find the murder weapon. It was in front of them the entire time.

2. The flowers Mona is holding when she meets Charlotte are NOT the same ones we see ( as the viewer ) with Charlottes’ body but that could be because SOMEONE ELSE stumbled across Charlottes body AFTER it was dropped from the belltower. I AM NOT SO SURE MONA threw Charlottes’ body off and as was stated above and WIPED CLEAN any traces of DNA that may have been whoever HELPED MONA cover it up. A certain BLONDE perhaps?

3. I dont think Mona was staging the night she killed Charlotte as so much as reliving it, now knowing that the liars are forced to play ADs’ game all to find out WHO KILLED Charlotte. It was more of a gulity conscience and realizing that no one is in control. Almost like having an emotional breakdown, hence the reason she looks like “Loser Mona” when Hanna finds her. When she implies being “tricked” by Charlotte i think thats more so applies to how the game was stolen from her back when she was the Original A.

4.  “You needed me, just like you needed me to take care of Charlotte after all the terrible things she did. I’m sorry I messed that up. Nothing ever happens the way it’s supposed to with me.” Mona says this to Hanna during her breakdown and we see a flashback to Charlottes’ murder.  I believe Mona is referring to when Charlotte was released in the second part of the season 6 and the liars had to speak on whether or not they felt they were in danger. MONA spoke against Charlottes’ release ( if im not mistaken initally) but stated she knew what it was like to stay in Radley and that Charlotte deserved a real home. SO Mona is feeling gulity Charlotte was free again because she messed up her testimony.

5. thru 8. we are still awaiting more INFORMATION ( see PLOT HOLES )

All the important things I noted down from this interview:

When they shot the “he’s coming for you” scene, they had no idea who the “he” would be. It was a last minute addition to 610 just to give us an idea of what the flash forward would “look like”. That’s why we saw it in the episode before the series finale, because for years the writers were pondering “who’s the he, who’s the he?” and there came a point where they just had to make a decision.

We can put Melissa’s suitcase handle to rest. That was a complete red herring and it’s not coming back in the finale.

Sasha and her husband, Hudson, double date with Andrea and her husband. Sasha and Andrea are really good friends. I didn’t know this!

Aria does not have multiple personalities because she was talking to the trunk of her car. “Don’t read too much into that”.

Sasha and Troian turned over the script of the finale to the back page and drew a Hastings-DiLaurentis-Drake family tree, trying to piece together everything. I thought that was cute. I love when the actors immerse themselves in the story like us fans.

Torrey is legally/contractually on another show but somehow they managed to get her back. The fact that they managed to get her out of luck tells me she won’t be important.

Jason is not in the finale.

We finally have an answer to Ali’s bloody lip in season 3. And you won’t like it. “During that episode and Ali’s life, she was really taunting the girls about these older people she was hanging out with, sort of a bad crowd. In the writers room we never said specifically who it was, but in our minds, it was that group of people. She was trying to make the PLLs jealous, she was hanging out with older people, probably Charlotte and college kids, the same group of kids who threw the poor girl down the stairs. It lives in that world.”

Emison has the most shocking twist in the finale. No comment on what the twist is. Sasha bit her lip the second this question was asked. (Is Ali faking her pregnancy? Is Ali AD?)

The character that has changed the most after the 1 year time jump in the finale is Toby.

The hardest scenes to shoot were the goodbye scene as well as the actual last scene of the show. Marlene confirmed that this so called “goodbye scene” is just a goodbye to “ONE of the characters”. Take that as you like, but I interpret it to mean only one PLL leaves Rosewood meanwhile the others stay.

The very last scene of the finale is a “bonus full circle moment. Although the show ends, the world continues.” Sasha wasn’t shocked by this finale scene but it is “amazing, it sums up our show in a way”. Marlene said: “The mythology of this town will always go on. It’s not gonna end with the end of Pretty Little Liars.” This makes me really happy honestly. Well, assuming that they’re not talking about Addison getting a text from B. I like that the world will always be open and we can think about Rosewood in a year and wonder what’s going on. I like that it’s 99% closure with 1% available for freedom of thought.

Mona pushed Charlotte off the bell tower, even though we didn’t see it. They were probably saving production costs, as they’d have to pay for a doll/fake corpse to throw off a building.

An Emison spinoff is a possibility.

Marlene’s new series “The Perfectionists” could be in the same or similar universe as PLL. Characters from PLL “could” be in the new series but it’s too early to talk about The Perfectionists. “Hopefully in the next couple weeks” Marlene can speak more on the new show.

“There’s a 1 year time jump and a lot happens in a year” was Marlene’s response to Mary injecting/stabbing Spencer in the promo.

BIG ONE: that was Spencer, NOT Twincer that Mary is stabbing!! Marlene kept a very straight face when the interviewers mentioned Spencer having a twin.

There is at least one, maybe two “very realistic” masks in the finale. (We are doomed. I hate the finale already.)

“Everyone knows I love Toby, so the chances of him being AD would be slim.” - Marlene

The final 10 episodes are loaded with clues and they were designed for us to guess it correctly. That was Marlene’s response as to what particular episodes we should watch.

THE REVEAL OF AD IS NOTHING WE WOULD HAVE NOTICED IN SEASONS 1 AND 2. CONFIRMED.

In the promo Aria says “I can’t marry Ezra” - not “burry”

How the mums got out of the basement is discussed in the finale but maybe not in the way we’d like.

Aside from who AD is, Marlene’s favourite question to answer is AD’s motive.

“The viewers will know before the girls” - Sasha

The reason the finale is 2 hours is so that we can process the who and the why.

The person who plays AD asked Marlene not to tell anyone so that other actors don’t act different in scenes with AD.

Marlene told the person who is AD, that they are AD, fairly early on, by themselves. I feel like this rules out Twincer since Troian said that Marlene told her and Keegan together one night on set :(
