Kinda wish there was more of a skill difference in S1 of Supernatural.
Yes, both boys were raised as warriors, but when they reunited, Sam had 4 years of hunting experience, with partners, and 4 years of "retirement."
But Dean had been hunting for TWELVE YEARS. And a lot of that was solo hunting.
There would absolutely be a skill difference between them, and I wish it could have been seen more.

Jason Todd: Mob Boss?
So I was reading bucky x reader as one does, and I noticed that there's a lot of mob!Bucky AUs. Which don't get me wrong, I love the trope, but then I realized my DC favorite character, Jason Todd (no I don't have a type shut up), doesn't really have any Mob! AUs. But then I was thinking...isn't the Red Hood gang already kinda a mafia? I feel like at some point, his gang (I hc them the Merry Men of Gotham) transcends normal gang level. They control so much, have strict rules like not dealing to kids or hurting the working girls, and once you're in you are part of the family - as in have access to the view of your boss bickering with his lieutenant while holding a sleepy stabby Robin. I'm pretty sure that's basically the requirements of a mafia, so. Jason's not just a crime lord anymore. He's the head of the Gotham Mafia.
I wonder if there are any fics about the rest of the batfam realizing this...
TL;DR Unlike mob!Bucky, mob!Jason Todd is CANON.
bbrae child in disney?
So I was scrolling through bbrae fancomics and art as one does, and some of it was art of what their children would look like, and I kinda noticed a theme. Most of them take a bit from both parents, like light green skin from Beast Boy and dark hair and/or magic from Raven. Sometimes they'd have animal elements or be able to shift.
And yknow, there is a Disney character that literally fits the bill on all of that...
like, cmon, she literally has a pet raven named Diablo

An Easter Egg for Ezrabine/Sabezra shippers
So I was watching rewatching Rebels and noticed that in S1E15, it's revealed that the stolen TIE fighter that Ezra and Zeb "got rid of" was painted by Sabine.
Old news, but Ezra knew about it and Zeb didn't. You know blueberry boy showed it to her trying to impress, and it turned into hang out sessions where Sabine painted and Ezra...messed around with a wild Loth-kitten.
And of course it became their tradition whenever they were on Lothal and space mom and dad Hera and Kanan were being a bit overwhelming or whenever they just needed a break. They got to bond more, and Ezra named the Loth-kitten Sniffles because it was allergic to a certain kind of Sabine's paint and kept sneezing (that she totally didn't stop using as soon as she found out, she's a hardcore Mandalorian what are you talking about).
A TIE fighter is...pretty big. Painting all of it like that would take hours and hours of time, hours and hours of Sabine and Ezra hanging out, free from their parents Kanan and Hera and the Empire, and just able to be teenagers with joint-custody of a wild Loth-kitten.
I have learned that Sabine's Loth-cat is actually named Murley. So while Ezra might have originally called the cat "Sniffles," Sabine vetoed that idea mighty quick and gave the kitten a "name befitting the cutest member of the Spectres." Sniffles may or may not be used as a nickname when Sabine is not around :)

Sharks and Monkeys, Oh my!
So I've recently joined the Arcane fandom (have not seen any of it yet but have absorbed some fanfics and lots of youtube clips) and I gotta say...
The fact that Jinx/Powder's two animals associated with her are the
Monkey - very intelligent, often associated with being crazy, and the
Shark - can be extremely violent and dangerous, misunderstood creatures stereotyped by the public
Like...hm. The symbolism is well done in this one.
EDIT: I realized she also is represented by a crow/raven (not sure which), and well...
3. Raven - associated with bad omens and death, also very intelligent. Collects shiny things (the unrefined Hexgems, anyone?)

The Origin of a Name
So we all know that Tom's nickname name translates to "flight of death" in French.
Which is ironic because he fancied himself immortal, having made his Horcruxes. And it was a nickname he received/made not long after Hogwarts, i.e. not long after he made his first Horcrux and believed himself immortal (He just didn't use it openly until a decade later).
So little Tom was doodling with his name, trying to make something that was in no way reminding of his Muggle heritage, and also remembering the French he glanced at when he learned that it was sort of a "pure-blood" language tradition.
And little Tom, believing himself to be newly immortal, stumbles upon an anagram , a smush of vol-de-mort that means death flies. He sees it as fate, that death flies from him because he is just that powerful as a student.
And he needs to be seen as noble, that he is descended from pure blood, that as a descendant of Slytherin he is the true lord of darkness.
And thus, the name Lord Voldemort was born.

As a french reader when I first read the books as a kid, I thought they meant it as "theft from death" because vol is also the verb theft (voleur means thief) and I legit think JK would've been better with theft rather than flight, stealing your own life from death before it can take it from you.
