I’m getting my haircut in a couple days and the reference I am using is a female. If I ask for the hairdresser to square off the back and sides will that make it appear more masculine?
I’d say so. I always square off the back. Also keeping your sideburns on the shorter end helps and squared off too because then it’s not hightlighting the shape of your face whereas with feminine hairstyles they tend to keep them long or cut them on an angle (as it happened to me once. Now I just cut my own hair)

Heyy there! I'm just starting to transition publicly (he/him), hoping to start hormone therapy within the next 3 months; as it is, I almost never pass and it's kinda driving me crazy. Anyway!

Usually when I have to wear formal clothes I just wear a polo with a tie and jeans but any store should have your clothe size (I am 4'10'' and I dont have problems anything other than shoes
Ah, I wish I could do that because I have those. They want like dress pants, dress shirt, tie, vest, etc. which I don’t have because I don’t like dressing up.
Hey I get my formal shirts from the kids section!! Usually if they’re not numbered an XL or L will work but a 16 or 18 is usually good too. Get slim fit if you can. For context I’m 5’6” and ab 110 lbs

Hey y’all! I have a question
So I am 5’5 and rather small, which is rather on the short side for a guy, but not too short, but I am going to a wedding in October and they are asking for me to wear something formal. I don’t know where to start looking for clothes since everything is usually too big, too baggy, or too long.

is it possible to have physical dysphoria but no social dysphoria. like i want to look like a guy but for some reasoni dont like when people use he/him or they/them pronouns. could it just take some getting used to?????
(2/2) I’m happy as a girl and being called by female pronouns but at the same time, there’s moments where I catch myself feeling like it’s wrong and that I should be male and sometimes my friends slip and call me by male pronouns and I still respond to it and I’m just very confused about my identify. Do you have any advice on how I can “discover myself” I guess? I don’t want to seem like a transtrender but sometimes I feel guilty and I’m just so so so confused.

Usually physical and social dysphoria go hand in hand. To find what feels comfortable for you, I would go online on social media and find communities that recognize you with the pronouns you’re testing out. Just go with what makes sense for you. Your friends can also help you out, just communication with them to keep them on the same page.
Everyones uncertain at points and it’s ok not to have everything figured out. It took a lot of us months, years, etc to learn about ourselves; just know you’ll get there! Maintaining a neutral standpoint (tapping into controversial topics is tough), it’s fine to explore as long as you only pursue reversible aspects / qualities.

hey! i'm a pre-t dude who happens to be the singer in a band. our band isn't really gonna start performing until we're living on our own (we're currently minors), but that's also the time i plan to start going on T. do you think i should wait until after our first few shows to go on T, or should i go on T before we start performing/recording? i hope that makes sense! i'm just afraid that i'll have too many voice cracks and stuff while singing aaa ~pre-t singer dude
Once you are on T, it’ll take a good amount of practice to adjust your range for singing. I’d probably start before you record, as you have plenty of time to work on shifting your voice plus it won’t be a live performance (yet). Either way you’re going to have to put in some work to train your voice as it drops. You’ll most likely lose certain ranges but gain new ones, and your band will have to also adapt to that (if you’re the lead singer). T’s really unpredictable, which sucks for singers, but it’s really hard to time when you go on T “correctly” because it’s different for everyone. Take every day in the present since it’s hard to make a future plan. Some trans musicians that might give you inspiration/answer questions (since I’m the worst singer ever) could be Mackman, Skyler Kergil, and/or Noah Finnce. Â

i have to take 2 PE classes for school but i get totally dysphoric and even get panic attacks over not wearing my binder around people at school. I can do summer gym since I won't have to change out and I won't see many people there after that, but is weights the safest other option if i stay on the low side of the weights?
You’re able to wear a binder to PE class as long as it’s a size up. This works for a lot of guys, or you could try wearing a sports bra with a tank top over it to conceal it. When lifting (at least for me) even smaller weights can restrict breathing if you’re lifting for long periods of time, so you gotta be careful about that. Â
