Details: The roaming Los Angeles-based Thai pop-up’s scheduled Austin stops this year include weekly Friday lunches held at Hops & Grain. Then there are Tuesday nights at Infinite Monkey Theorem from 5 to 9 p.m.; Wednesday nights at The Local from 7 to 11 p.m.; and Thursday lunch at Dominican Joe's from 11:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Previous menus featured Burmese-Thai curry and vegetable drunken noodles. Catch pop-up Thai and trivia at Austin's newest urban winery. Each Tuesday, Infinite Monkey Theorem hosts a trivia night at 7:30 PM, but arrive early for Thai street food by Pranom Pop-up, which starts at 5 PM and continues until supplies run out. And though the focus here is on wine, Infinite Theorem's dry pear cider is the perfect match for Pranom's authentic, and often spicy, Thai dishes (which always include a vegetarian option).

I wasn't even hungry when the smell of Thai food started wafting my way, but I knew I had to try some curry.  So, my friend Reva and I stopped off to order some food.  She got the Khao Ma Gai and I got the veggie curry.  They both looked amazing.

LA-based Pranom Pop Up will be at Earnestine & Hazel's on Thursday, April 21st, selling Thai street food. On the menu is Tom Ka Gai (a chicken coconut soup; $10) and there will be a vegetarian option as well. 

Thai Kitchen Pop-Up at The Dubliner Hollywood actor/chef Dream Kasestatad of L.A.'s famed Pranom is currently on a cross-country pop-up Thai Street Food tour that makes a stop on Greenville Avenue this evening. The Dubliner welcomes Chef Dream Kasestatad and his traveling pop-up restaurant Pranom on Monday, April 11, from 7-11 p.m. (or until the noodles run out). LOWER GREENVILLE – The Dubliner’s traditional pub fare gets a decidedly global twist as Chef Dream Kasestatad brings his traveling pop-up restaurant Pranom to the Lower Greenville bar on Monday, April 11. Kasestatad is a Texas-born chef who takes over restaurants across the country to prepare his take on authentic Thai street food. Los Angeles’ Pranom Pop-Up is back in Austin for a one-night visit to the Infinite Monkey Theorem Urban Winery tomorrow, March 1. Chef Dream Kasestatad will be serving up green curry with wok-fried white fish, veggies, or tofu between 5-9:30pm or until supplies run out.
