while i completely understand the knee-jerk reaction of wanting information that paints somebody you admire in a negative light to be incorrect, if you find yourself doing it more often it may be a good opportunity to take a second and introspect on why is it so easy to believe what/who you like to always be right/morally correct/innocent

also interesting to meditate on whether you're more inclined to believe certain people/opinions are in the wrong because you disliked them previously. why is that so? think about whether you weighed the facts or simply rushed to a conclusion because of how you feel towards them. it's inevitable to have these biases, and this post isn't to call anyone out for this, it's just a reminder to consider facts and context and think beyond that first instinctual thought that dominates the rest of your opinion
